Many kudos to «Jeremy» at Radio Shack. I forgot to pack my cord to recharge my underwater camera. Jeremy found the right cord, tested it to make sure it worked, discovered my chip card was locked so couldn’t be used, and got me a new card. He could have just sold me the cord and been done with it. Really, really appreciate him checking out everything else. Saved me at least one more trip to a store. Pleasant, helpful — went above and beyond. While I was there, another customer was looking for some advanced photography help. Jeremy said that wasn’t his expertise, but his manager(not in the store at the time) was good at it. Jeremy called the manager and he and the customer worked out a time to get together.(I didn’t even know Radio Shack was still alive… Very good service! Grateful we stopped here!)

I needed a part for my airbrush makeup compressor-I visit the islands once a year and need to use a special paramedical grade makeup-I inadvertently left my air compressor power cord behind and Jeremy was not only attentive, but super kind in our search. He helped us find the correct power cord and now my 2 week vacation can truly be a memorable time. Thank you, Jeremy!

Ah Radio Shack how we miss you in Canada. Always an interesting store to peruse gadgets in, plus they have an electronic DIY section for the home electronic gadget building buffs. If you forgot a cable or need some other electronic doodad you left behind then this is a good store to check out. It’s small but they still have a good selection of the basic things you may need. Great little Radio Shack store and if you are here check out the very cool store beside it — Endangered Pieces. Very funky and cool and a must visit!

We visited this store three times in the last month and we were very disappointed by lack of professionalism we encountered. On our second visit we were helped by a new employee who clearly needed help from his manager, but the manager just treated him like he was incompetent right in front of everyone in the store. I felt sorry for the poor employee. Then on our last visit the manager made two inappropriate comments once again right in front of everyone in the store… what a shame!

Radio Shack used to once upon a time, be a great place to go for electronics. Not really the case anymore unfortunately. Staff was nice and knowledgeable however not very helpful unless asked. Additionally, there was not really much that I would be interested in purchasing or browsing. Just not what they used to be.

We entered the store with some trepidation after reading all the negative reviews. We had called in advance to see if they carried the item we needed. When we entered the store we were helped as soon as they were done with another customer-the gentleman went to the back of the store to get our item and we checked out. Process took five minutes. I’d rate the store higher but it did seem poorly stocked.

Do not enter this store at any cost! You will be wasting your time! The middle aged guy that I would assume is the manager has absolutely no interest in waiting on you, let alone helping you. I went to buy a power source and after waiting 10 minutes for help I attempted to pay for it. Upon paying for it, I was asking him if he thought this might be the right one for my application and he said«too bad… you’re second guessing your purchase and you’re not even out the door?» Them he took off to the back room of the store! I was flabbergasted and left. They have no business being open! GOTOTHEKAHULUISTORE!!!

I would highly recommend this Radio Shack. We didn’t expect too much due to the other Unilocal reviews but gave it a try anyway. There were 3VERY helpful staff in the store and we were able to find the itouch lightning charger adapter we needed and it was a lot cheaper than the ones we saw at the airport.

To add insult to injury, really poor service can be found here. I couldn’t even enter the place this one time, because apparently they have to close 2 hours earlier than their scheduled time on a Thursday. Try to avoid this store.

I have to agree with the other reviews. This has happened on every occasion ive been in this store. The service is horrible. When a customer walks into your store and stands by the counter waiting for help… at least acknowledge that they are there. I dont know… maybe say something like, «i’ll be with you as soon as possible»? Instead we are ignored until they are done helping the last customer. Then I have to ask for help??? I’d rather drive to Kahului than deal with this place. Its happened on every occasion ive been in this store.

Absolutely horrible service. Both guys sitting on their butts playing on their phones when i came in. Didn’t even look up when I came in. I had to actually ask them if they were working to get their attention. Their response was«I’d rather not be working.» Obviously the manager needs to get control of this store. Do yourself a favor and drive to Kahului or fly off island to get your electronics. Avoid this store at all costs!

OK for normal stuff — batteries, etc. but if you need a component a bit more exotic, this isn’t the place for you. Diodes seem to be very confusing for them for some reason. Here’s a hint to save you some aggravation: Look your item up on , then call to see if they have it. They can look it up by Catalog number. Saves me all sorts of annoyance.

Everytime I go in, either out of what I want, don’t carry it, or don’t know what I’m talking about. Bring back Jamison cuz he’s the only guy whose knows. Ok, maybe guy with dreads too.
