Finding a decent stylist for men is hard enough as it is on this island. Once you do find one it seems they are never consistent with their cuts. This is not the case for SAM at Piikea supercuts. All three times I’ve come here Sam has successfully cut exactly what I describe. He takes his time and is very detailed oriented yet timely and the hands of someone who has been doing it they’re whole life.

We popped in here for a quick haircut for my son while on vacation. What great customer service by Tom! We felt welcome the moment we opened the door to go in. What a positive and fun personality! My son wanted a buzz cut, and Tom offered a couple tips for ensuring a smooth even buzz every time. We’d be regular customers if Maui were our permanent home!

The service here sucks. I don’t recommend going here not unless u have a lot of free time to waste. Tall blonde hairdresser short hair (forgot her name I think it’s Phillis) likes to TALK more than she cuts. It took FOREVER for a simple cut. She can’t talk and cut at the same time. Very irrating and what a waste of my day. Would not come here again.

I usually don’t go to super cuts because I usually get so so hair cuts from them but since I was on vacation and had time I went to get my hair cut. My stylist was Phyllis and we was great. She’s very personable and really did a good job on cutting my hair. If I lived on Maui she would be the one I would choose to always go to! Ask for Phyllis.

Went in for a haircut 1⁄27 about noon and there was a little arguing about who would get which customer. Also were talking a little about other customers so not very professional. This is the first time I have gotten a haircut that I really did not like. I normally explain a haircut and then they ask additional questions but this time she went to town on my hair. I RECOMMEND HAVING THEM SLOW DOWN AND MAKE SURE YOU EXPLAIN THE HAIRCUT WELL.

Great service, I’m quite picky and have tried many barber shops in Maui. I really got lucky when I used AuKai (pronounced Ow Kai). He’s a perfectionist, and he does a great job. Can’t beat the $ 22 price either

Every time I’ve gone, I’ve had a different stylist, but every time I’ve gotten exactly what I wanted. Michelle is awesome at color — and you can’t beat their prices. Definitely the only place I go in Kihei!

I made an appointment for 3:00 for a shampoo, cut, & style. I arrived about 10 minutes early because I hate being late. I sat in the waiting are and watched as they took 2 walk-​ins before me. The hair stylist I was assigned to was apparently too busy talking on the phone. I was finally helped at 3:27. To me it is unacceptable to wait that long when you have an appointment. The cut and style was good & what I wanted, but when I went to pay the blow dry cost was $ 3 more than what I was told it would be. Not that I’m cheap; I just think people should honor what they tell you. What was the point of making an appointment? Just walk in and you’ll be seen quicker.

It’s a chain so what do you want? Good enough. $ 20 for regular haircut.
My person must have had dull clippers because it actually hurt! I never had a haircut hurt before. Lol. The clippers were yanking as many hairs as cuttin I think. Maybe it was their ‘pulling’ style. Anyway, hair came out looking good — a little shorter than I had asked tho… oh well it superchts. I’ll probably be back because I’m cheap and it’s good enough.

Every time I get my hair cut I always ask for the same thing; v-​cut with long layers.
Phyllis is freaking amazing! And she gave me what I asked for. She talked me through everything she was doing and it was very comforting. I have very thick, long hair that grows crazy fast, but I don’t cut my hair as often as I’d like just because I don’t like going to different salons seeing different people. So now I know where I want to go and who I want to see; Phyllis!!!

Never thought I could get a decent haircut on this island at Supercuts till I came to this location, request for Phyllis! Fade/​cut/​style
They are short staffed due to staffing issues please be patient as they always try to do the best they can, call ahead for wait time if you’re in a rush!

I came in and had my hair initially cut by a Caucasian guy (James?). Though he was nice, he didn’t have much of a steady hand and he couldn’t cut a faux hawk. His rendition of a faux hawk was terrible, and he just couldn’t grasp the fact that a faux hawk has a point not a flat surface.
Thankfully another stylist Michelle was there and she fixed it and actually pulled off the job, despite the condition of the initial hair cut. Thanks Michelle for saving it.

I like SuperCuts, and I know there’s a very bad stigma that follows the brand, but that does not discount the fact that there are some very talented stylists and barbers there. I have seen Aukai there about 3 or 4 times and he’s wonderful and has such a sunny disposition!

I have been twice to this salon in Kihei and Holly has been my stylist both times. She is WONDERFUL! Not only is she fun and friendly, but she really listned to my input and was willing to work with me to get the perfect cut. I am SO happy to have found her. I have been to various other salons on the island and have paid upt to 3x the amount that Supercuts charges (only $ 20 for a cut!). I also had a brow wax from Holly and it was one of the best I have had as well. She took the time to trim and shape my brows to perfection.
Thanks so much to Holly and the receptionist Marlo for offering such a great experience! I will be back!
