Wailea Baking Company

My wife and I were on vacation in Maui. We are both into health and fitness so we do not eat much sweets and stuff. We happened to come across an organic market while there and found some natural Oatmeal cookies with just oatmeal, raisins, and some other natural ingredients. The sweetness came from molasses and no added sugar. Tasted just like the oatmeal we ate every morning but with a twist of sweetness and the look of a large cookie. However the owner who baked them fresh everyday clearly loved walnuts, because you could not even break off a little piece without getting a mouthful of walnuts which completely ruined the taste and texture. This lil experience got me into the drive to find a place on the island where we could get a healthy Oatmeal cookie WITHOUT 100 walnuts in a single cookie.
We searched all the Unilocal listings and came across the Wailea Baking Company. From the website it appeared that it was a storefront and you could have them bake up some custom cookie creations. Turns out that was not the case. Navigation took us to a gated community and that was that. (Website has now been updated to reflect «Online-​Only»)
We checked all other cookie shops on the island, but no one made healthy Oatmeal cookies. My wife was persistent enough to keep trying, as once we both get something stuck in our heads we have to find a way to make it happen. She kept trying the phone number listed and finally made contact.
Diane the owner of Wailea Baking Company was an absolute Darling. As soon as she heard from my wife of our search for the perfect Oatmeal cookie she graciously volunteered to accommodate the request even though she typically bakes large batches and caters to events and the such. She called us a couple days later and provided us with a freshly made batch of Oatmeal Cookies. Let me just say… and this coming from someone that does not eat cookies or cake… the cookies were OFF THE CHAIN!
Pure Oatmeal, raisins, no walnuts, little sugar and tasted absolutely delicious. We both indulged in a few and then brought the rest home to SD so that our family could try them and actually have proof of our story! Family loved them just as much!

My Husband and I were on vacation in Maui on his birthday. He is not a huge fan of cakes but loves cookies. I searched for a bakery that could make a super sized cookie and came across the Wailea Baking Company. I called and immediately was in contact with the owner Diane. Her service and demeanor was phenomenal. She was able to accommodate a quick turn around time and delivery. The chocolate chip looked great and tasted even better!
Next time I will have to try her other goodies!

This was such an amazing experience! I heard about Wailea Baking Company from a girlfriend and decided to give it a try when I had several out of town family and friends coming to the island for the first time. I wanted them all to have a wonderful Aloha experience and Wailea Baking Company made it all possible. Diane, the owner is awesome. Not only is she super sweet but she’s incredibly knowledgeable and can customize any order to fit your preference and budget. I ended up ordering 15 loaves of her Hawaiian bread and had them waiting in my friend’s hotel rooms so they had a little surprise upon their arrival. The packaging was adorable and Diane even included a knife so my friends could wake up and enjoy a little slice of paradise. I’m definitely using her again in the future:)
