Very poor customer service. Unapologetic when my order was not in stock even though their online system showed it was in stock. Both manager and associate were worthless to get any sort of help and made it seem like it was my problem. A simple«I’m sorry about this and lets see how I can help» would have gone a long way. I will never come back here.

I’m pretty sure corporate policy dictates that in mid transaction the cashier and her co –worker should not be discussing her return from a «romantic» vacation while checking out four girls under the age 12. Unbelievable — if you are getting action — please don’t discuss it front of 6,9,10,12 year olds while folding clothing and scanning tags.

I was just in shopping on Christmas Eve. Few hours away from closing time I wanted to pick few things up. The selection in the Men’s department was really slim. All the good stuff was gone that I seen on the website. I notice everyone on here posted about poor customer service. I did notice most of the employees are high school girls. They all kept to themselves which was fine with me as I was in a rush. My only problem was waiting at the register I’m assuming the heavy set lady talking on the walkie talkie demanding back up. She must of been the Manager but really rude over the walkie talkie to her employees. I will be honest and I’m sure all the employees working there probability walk on eggs shells working for her so I’m assuming team morale is low. That’s why no one has customer service skills as most are in a bad mood and hate there job. I wonder what kind of scores this store gets from corporate audits. I’m sure the District Manager isn’t happy with this store is my guess… By the way I’m a Director of Operations in big box retail and wasn’t pleased on my shopping visit.

I am an Old Navy fan. I like their clothes. I like them on me and on my kids. This Old Navy was clean and organized. The staff was a little… busy. It almost seemed as though they were trying to look busy so they did not have to help their customers. Honestly, that is fine with me as I do not like to be bugged while shopping. Found exactly what we were looking for and in the right size. That is a super bonus! If I am in the area again, I will definitely shop here again!

Poor customer service. Of course the deals at old navy are awesome and the clothes are always super cute but I just don’t know if it’s worth dealing with the crappy staff. I will probably not be back to this one. I’ll drive out of my way to not have to deal with this staff. There were a couple sweaters amongst an unkept pile of sweaters marked one price so naturally I figured the sweaters were that price since they were all together. When it rung up however it ring up more so I told the girl where I found it and she went and looked and found another sweater there then told me it was misplaced. You can’t give me the price it was marked for due to your mistake? There was staff all around it was a Thursday afternoon for goodness sake and 7 workers. Whatever happened to the customer is always right? Shame on them.

This is a very big Old Navy. they have the basic wares as a lot of the other ONs I have been to, plus a large clearance section(yay). They have a lot of sales going on all the time, and the prices are reasonable. However, the staff is a little hum-drum. I encountered three staff when I went in, and not ONE of them seemed happy to be there. They all acted as if I kicked their puppy. So the customer service wasn’t great, but the deals are solid!

Let me «sandwich» my review by first saying that I like this Deer Park(or Kiildeer, or what have you…) location because it is less sentimental than my closest Old Navy(Arlington Heights, which I worked at and helped open after Mt. Prospect in Randhurst closed), and typically less busy and messy than Schaumburg. They have a decent selection of clothes, the merchandising is clean and uncrowded, and it has been rare that there are un-recovered clothes en mass(minus the denim wall). Sometimes there are large quantities of merchandise(«runs») that need to be processed or returned to the sales floor, and these sit by the main window near the registers. It’s pretty unsightly because all other passers-by can view them, especially when they pile up and/or they sit there overnight into the next morning. I have been disappointed with this location due to the fact that a lot of cashiers and associates are not thoroughly trained in register and customer service procedures. I am an 8+ year veteran of the company and only left the company a little more than a year ago due to already having a full-time job. Even when I was still an associate, on different occasions I had to explain to the cashier(s) how to process an employee transaction. More than a year later, I still encounter cashiers who don’t know how to process returns without receipts, look up transactions or price changes, etc. None of the associates at this location have mentioned changes in return policies, either. These things never would have been commonplace at any of the 4 Old Navy stores I’d worked at during my 8+ year employment. Additionally, I don’t find many employees to be very friendly or possess many customer service skills on the sales floor(i.e. no one ever asks if you’re finding everything OK or even acknowledges you when you’re within a few feet of them in the same shop/area). Overall, I like Old Navy and have invested in their company from both a personal and professional standpoint throughout the years; however, this store lacks the continuity and consistency that I have seen and experienced in other locations.
