Kinda a small track, and the promised $ 5 fee is only for the child’s track. When you get behind another car the car in front of you kicks dirt into your eyes. Over all it was satisfactory.

A bit off the beaten path. We were attracted by promises of $ 5 rides. Alas, this is not the case. It was $ 5 for the slick(oval) track, which is very short. But the curvy track the whole family wanted is $ 8. They also have a kids track, which we did not try. However, the staff was friendly and the cars handled well. My kids loved it. My daughter is a little younger than the posted rules(which say you need to be 13… She is a tall 10) and had no problem getting behind the wheel. So that was nice. Three of us, two rides each, they gave us a little more than the 4 minutes per ride they promise(at least it felt that way!), and the total was $ 48. I always think go karts are a rip off because they are so pricey, but I have to admit, it was a pretty good time hearing the ten year old squeal in delight as she passed her older brother.

Great place. Two nice tracks for adults and one for small kids. 5 dollars per ride.

Go-kart racing — it’s fun! This place has been here a long time. A very long time. So their go-karts are not pristine, new and shiny. Occasionally they have gremlins, but the staff wants to see you have fun, so they work out the problems and get you on the track racing. The cars are gas-powered and there is some variability in handling and throttle between cars. But it’s fun! I went with my extended family this past week and raced on the family track and the slick track. Both were fun! I had issues with the first car on the first car on the family track, but the staff quickly got me into a good car and we raced for reasonable length of time. The only thing I didn’t like was that they charged for each passenger, so when taking the little kids as passengers, they had to pay 5 $ too. Still, that is the cheapest on the OBX and it was fun! After the family track, we tried the slick track, where I channeled Tokyo Drift and really got the hang of sliding through the curves. It would have been nice if my acceleration was a little quicker, but the handling was great. The cars don’t go super fast, but you know what? It’s fun! I really had a great time and look forward to returning again. If you don’t mind not having the newest, shiniest machines and aren’t a professional racer, I think you will have a lot of fun too.
