I just wasted my entire lunch because apparently no one there wants to do their job. I waited in line for 15 min without even moving and placing an order before I gave up on lunch today to late to go anywhere else thanks for that

I came here for lunch and they were out of veggie burgers. This place has insane prices. I don’t know what the people are talking about when they say they’re cheap. I got a little bag of parmesan fries and they were almost $ 4. I also got 2 combos and my total was almost $ 30. The other half of the reason I am giving 2 stars is how unbelievably unprofessional these employees are. When I was placing my order, this kid was so rude and obnoxious. He asked me if I have food allergies after I asked what they fry their fries in. I told him I’m a vegetarian, his response, «Really? I would never have thought that because of the way you look!» Then I heard him talk to another lady that was there and she said«you’re lucky they hired you back.» Maybe there was a reason this kid got fired? Because now you have a 2 star review because of him.

Been going to all locations for years and have never had a bad burger or customer service problem except for the usual order mixup every now and then but it’s no more than any big chain restaurant. The burgers are always juicy and flavorful and the fries are amazing but my favorite are the fried pickles.

I’ve tried the other two Black Meg’s in the area and my coworkers wanted to check this place out. It’s not a bad place, just looks a bit cheap. My order taken and brought to me relatively fast. The size of the burger is NICE, it’s bigger than expected. However, it was poorly seasoned. The taste of the burger didn’t make me want to try it again. I’ve had pretty good burgers around here and this one isn’t an option anymore.

On 12÷23÷15, bought a take-out order of cheeseburger, zucchini, garlic parm. At home I discovered my bag contained fried pickles & french fries. This was my second disappointment. The first one was they didn’t have any philly cheese steak sandwiches. I’m glad others had good service — I didn’t. They seemed unable to accommodate a rush hour(3:00) pm.

A small little burger joint that apparently caught my husband’s attention! Fast and fresh! The fries are seasoned and the burgers are so juicy! Definitely worth the try.

If you like big juicy greasy burgers and some good fries this is the place for you. Lady was rude at the window but food is good. Not expensive. Never been inside before so can’t comment on that

Good made to order juicy burgers. Innovative menu for different combos. I liked the french fries and the service is polite and attentive. I would go here before a national chain.

Delicious! They have the best fast food burgers I have tasted in a long time. One of the few things I miss when we were stationed in Texas.

This place has the best burgers and fries. Big portions and a very reasonable wait time considering this place gets pretty packed during lunch. The staff is fast and friendly, and full of energy. I suggest that you look over the menu and decide pretty quickly as the line goes by fast!

My first place to eat in Killeen. We were not disappointed. Loved it and the price was good. They have my business.

I honestly love this little place. I ordered a Mushroom burger. Everything that was implied to be on the burger was there; nothing was missing. The patty was grilled to perfection and reminiscent of a burger I would make for myself. Medium well, juicy, tender, but holds up when you take a bite into it. The vegetables were fresh and aromatic. The lettuce was crisp. The tomato, flavorful(so many times I’ve been to places where the tomato just doesn’t taste like anything). The onions were zesty, but not overpowering, and the mushrooms were divine! However, I feel they really ought to cut them into smaller pieces. The mushrooms were the button kind, and they were only cut in half, not slices. That made for an awkward burger to hold together and an unexpected first few bites. But it’s not something to complain about. Along with the burger, I ordered their Parmesan fries, and boy am I glad I did. Don’t order this if you aren’t a salt or cheese lover. The fries themselves in their own special seasoning are relatively salty, so adding a pungent, salty cheese like parmesan only adds to it. That’s what I loves most about it. The Parmesan was grated and loose, not shredded or overly wet. However, a lot of the cheese fell off when I went to take a bite. There’s enough wetness from the oil and garlic to keep enough cheese on, but was a bit frustrating to watch the most important part of my fries fall off! Either way, I will not hesitate to order them again! The joint itself is small, but can accommodate busy lunch hours and maybe a moderate dinner rush. They also host their own little drive-thru(which I haven’t tried to use.) The tables are average size, and the booths are in okay condition. Staff members were friendly and attentive; they even happily brought my mother and I our food when we missed their call for our order. They were also very quick, though it believe that was also due in part to our good timing and the lack of line. The ONLY reason I knocked off a star is because of the cleanliness. The layout itself is organized and easy to maneuver through. However, being such a small place in a town so heavily populated, I find it hard to believe that they should have the trouble they had keeping their restaurant clean. The soda machines were a hot mess and the caps to the soda cups were spilled out onto the counter. It was sticky and frustrating. A few of the tables were also not cleaned off; crumbs, leftovers, and even abandoned cups were left on tables(rude customers, but not necessarily a good thing to see). The floor was also a bit sticky and there was a puddle by the soda counter. However, someone was sent to clean it up while we ate.(So they are attentive) But the flies. Oh, the flies. There were so many. Buzzing in the window, pestering us and other customers, and constantly attempting their descent onto our food. It was very, very frustrating, and not at all appetizing. It makes one wonder if there are any in the kitchen. Overall, I highly recommend this place over McDonalds, and if you’re nearby, even In’N’Out(though I will always be a true In’N’Out girl.) The food is carefully prepared and feels a bit like home… Except better!

This was dinner tonight and I have to say a few things. The restaurant was not that clean came in to the girl behind the counter swatting flies.(At least they care to exterminate the pests) Also the restaurant had trash on the tables and floor. It maybe the result of customers we just missed and by chance they haven’t cleaned it up yet. Lets give em the benefit. We carryed out dinner and for 4 bugers 2 frys and a chesse fry it was 30 $not bad at all. The bugers were very nice and the cheese fry was loaded/drowned in chilli cheese. All in all this place is good and I will be returning maybe only take out. Lol worth a try.

This place is pretty damn awesome. Their burgers are one of the best. My boyfriend is stationed in Fort Hood and coming from California and going to school in Austin made me crave delicious fatty foods 24⁄7. Trust me I gained that freshmen 15 haha. Anyways, they have a $ 5 combo meal which includes a burger, fries and a drink. How can you ever go wrong with that!!! Their seasoned fries are so good, but make sure you let them air out if you’re driving back to base or home so they don’t get soggy. Their regular cheese burgers are more than enough for me and I usually give my bf the last couple of bites. They have a mac-like/thousand island sauce in their burgers that make them so delectable. The wait for your food here isn’t long if you don’t go during noon, but it’s very close to base. I highly suggest this place! I would choose this place over Hopdoddy’s sometimes because it’s so simple.

I had the $ 5 special, maybe that’s why my burger tasted horrible? The Black Meg sauce wasn’t much better. Now the seasoned fries were good, not great but good. Cannot honestly recommend. Much better burgers in Killeen and Harker Heights!

Can I just eat here every day and not add to my waistline? Please?! My boyfriend took me here as we were out in killeen running errands and I am so glad he did. Working at fort hood, he mentioned he had been here a few times with his buddies and that he really enjoyed it. Needless to say, I was ready and excited to eat a good burger! We both ordered the cheeseburger combo that came out to a total of $ 10.00. Two cheeseburgers, one plain and of course mine with everything plus add jalapeños, an order of fries each and a large drink each. Not bad for only ten dollars! The burgers are a nice size. Definitely not small. Fries came out hot, crispy and seasoned well. I was a lot hungrier than I thought and ate my entire burger while my boyfriend left a couple bites to spare. I was not ashamed though! It was too good. The cashier offered different types of cheese but we both went with original Cheddar. I think next time I might try provolone or maybe even Swiss. Oh but they also had pepper jack, which I also love. If only all of life’s decisions were as hard/compared to what kind of cheese I want on my burger. Anyway. I would also like to try their chili cheese fries as I’m a huge fan of them anywhere else. HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone looking to eat a delicious burger and fries for a good price! Totally worth every penny. Can’t wait until we can come back. Yum.

My wife and I ate here on the recommendation of others. My wife had the $ 5 cheese burger combo and I had the Black Meg Burger(double patty) and combo for $ 8.14. I cannot remember if getting grilled onions cost extra. The burgers patties were good and thick. The Black Meg sauce was very tasty and we got some extra for our fries. I really wished they had Heinz ketchup, and they really need to melt the cheese on their burgers.

I’ve been hearing great reviews about Black Meg’s homestyle burgers, especially from my companion. So when he suggested coming here for lunch, I was down for it. Pulled up, and whoa. this place is crowded. I don’t mind crowds. Most of the time it means the food is good(well, at least in my mind it does). Drive-thru was a bit slow, of course. We both ordered a bacon cheddar burger combo with chili cheese fries and waited for the employee to bring our order to the parking lot. Total damage: $ 21.20 w/tax. Wait time wasn’t long and when she seen that we had our two chihuahuas along for the ride, she said«I’ll be right back.» She brought two little paper bags, each had a hot dog and cheese slice inside. I didn’t catch your name, but whoever you are. You’re awesome! Oh, and the burger and fries were DEEEELICIOUS! The bun, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and bacon were just average. But, what really made it special was the patty. It was thick, well-seasoned, and juicy. I especially loved Meg’s mayo-based sauce. The chili cheese fries were on point. Great experience for my first time. I’m a fan! Hours Mon — Fri: 11am — 9pm Sun: 11am — 7pm Drive-thru available
