The wife and I have been looking for a local pizza joint, away from the Dominos and Pizza Hut of the pizza world and settled on Joes’s. The mention of it being a NY style type of pizza intrigued me more and I finally settled on it. They have one of the best pizza specials in this town XXL one topping pizza for $ 10.99, so we decided to get that special which is carry out only with pepperoni. Order would be done in 20 min. and by the time I got there it was pretty much on time exactly. The pizza was steaming hot, overall it was your typical NY style, flat, moderate crust and sauce was at a minimum as NY style dictates in every characteristic. A little«pizza» grease was layered on, personally my foodie self loves on some pizzas. We also ordered the garlic bread knots, which knocked rating to 3 stars, was basically just bread with parmesan cheese sprinkled on and side of marinara sauce(not really thick). No indication of garlic or any other flavor, not really soft, would not get again. Would of opted for their pizza or spinach rolls next time though. Was it the best NY style Pizza? No, was it the best pizza people ever had who posted it on here? No, but its been a consistent good pizza joint I’ve ordered and relied on.

Located right out the Rancier gate this place is a popular during lunch hour. I’ve ordered take out here a few times and I’ve never had any issues, other than miscommunication with the lady who answers the phone sometimes(she has a strong accent and her English is weak). Even with that my order has never been wrong. If your craving high quality ingridents don’t come here. It’s greasy, NY Style pizza. I’ve been spoiled with the Austin pizza scene so if I order from here it’s to get their caesar salad. I don’t know what it is but the combination of the iceberg lettuce(so not typical caesar), mountain of cheese, slightly stale croutons and liquid dressing just speaks to me. I probably turned you off but that unflattering description, but trust me it’s good. Make sure to ask them for two dressings on the side and don’t let them mix it. I’ve never tried the chicken with it so I can’t comment. Another word of advice, don’t go there drunk(don’t worry y’all I had a DD). The owner will try to hit on you, but if you like that kinda thing, more power to you!

As a northerner, one of the biggest problems I’ve come to face after moving down South is the lack of a good pizza joint. Joe’s Pizza & Pasta is the answer to that problem. They are by far the best pizza place in Killeen, if not all of CenTex. The crust is always crispy and you can purchase BYTHESLICE! They also have many traditional pizza combinations, including a proper white pizza– something that is definitely hard to find in Texas(it’s even harder than finding good pizza itself!). I can’t wait to see what else this place has to offer

Just saying. Yes the employees can seem rude but they’re friendly. They’re just as nice to you as you are to them. I always get treated with respect! Plus the cheese calzone is amazing. It’s probably my all time favorite next to the spinach rolls(seriously, how are those things as good as they are??) I could eat those spinach rolls everyday. They are THAT good. Cheese calzone, so yummy! But a pepperoni pizza is always what my husband prefers. Although(as picky as he is) he enjoyed the calzone as well :). Order ahead and pick it up. Take it home and watch a football game. That’s always our go to option! It’s worth it.

Wow… Walk in and not one employee is smiling. That should have been my first clue. I order a pepperoni pizza, calzone and pasta. Take it home and the pizza isn’t anything like NY has to offer… No crisp to the crust, little sauce, no spice and too much cheese. Pasta also has no season in and Calzone was soggy. I debate on dealing with it but if I’m going to spend $ 30, I want good food so I go back for a refund. I get talked back to about returning it. Manager said I didn’t ask for it extra crispy. I said no one greeted or smiled and he said are we supposed to smile and give you flowers? I tried to get my refund without any more attacks but they kept on coming. I have never had anyone talk to me like that. And then another employee came by to give his two cents. I wouldn’t recommend this place ATALL. I finally got a refund but not without a fight and standing firm. They are a bunch of bully’s in there.

I miss NY style of pizza, so when I found this pizza place, I could not believe how delicious this place was. I really feel this tops all the pizza places around Killeen, harder heights, copperas cove, and every other city around this area. This pizza is truly amazing and you must go in to try a slice for your self to know what I mean!

I love Joe’s! They have the best pizza and pasta that I’ve had since I’ve been in Texas! The food is fresh, delicious and hot! You get enough food for days! I love this hometown Italian restaurant! The only thing that could possibly make the experience better would be having a date there!

This is a great place to get authentic New York style pizza, pasta and sandwiches. The carry-out special is well worth it. If it’s a whole pizza or just a slice you are after, take the time and check this place out.

I went here for the first time last night. They were put of cheese pizza, so I ordered the margarita pizza. I was a little disappointed with their pizza. The cheese was hard instead of soft and chewy like a pizza should be and if you like to eat the crust, their crust isn’t very appetizing. I’ve heard people say food tastes like cardboard and I’ve never understood. I get it now because when I bit off a piece of the crust it tasted like I just but off a piece of cardboard. I probably wont be back for more.

Remove the cheesesteak from the menu because you failed. You used provolone, you did not fry the onions, you had no ketchup, and you didn’t mix and chop the cheese into the meat, you just melted it on top. A cheesesteak should consist of meat, American or whiz cheese, onions, and ketchup. Mushrooms and peppers are not needed, so you shouldn’t as me if I want them. You then need to take the former ingredients and delicately make love to them on the frying table. Once they are just about done you need do add the American cheese until it is nice and gooey. If you follow these steps, you just might be able to pass this off as a cheesesteak and not a «philly cheesesteak.» Philly cheesesteaks are what people like you falsely advertise their steak sandwiches as actual cheesesteaks. Although the cheesesteaks were bad, the pizza is great and so are the pasta dishes: they both reminded me of home.

I moved from Texas a couple of years ago, but this was my go to place for pizza when I lived in Killeen, and I’m shocked at some of the reviews. Great, authentic pizza that is very cheap. The food took me back to growing up in the Northeast. The pizza here is great. Authentic and easily the best in Killeen. People saying it isn’t good seem to have grown up on Dominos or Papa Johns. The place is run like an actual NY style pizza shop. You probably won’t get on a first name basis with the employees, but I went there dozens of times and never remember the service being bad. You pay your money, they give you good food relatively quickly– its a pretty fair arrangement. The single time something happened with my order, the owner comped me with a slice of cheesecake, which is more than I can say for anywhere else in Killeen. This place is awesome. Its also in the middle of Killeen, so I’m not sure what people are expecting. Give this place your business, you won’t regret it.

If I could give a zero I would. My husband was in the military for almost 17 years and was injured in Iraq. He has a service dog,(about 45lbs) we walked in with our kids and his service dog. We had never been there before, we weren’t greeted and there were other customers in there as well. When I went to order and ask questions about the menu the guy leans over the counter Nad says«you can’t have that dog in here» I told him by law my husband can take his dog anywhere because he is a service dog. The guy replies«can’t he just take it outside and you take your food to go» the people behind me walked out saying they would never return because this place asked a soldier to leave because of his service dog. By this time my husband is so upset he gathers our kids and heads to the car. I told the guy he needed to be careful with discrimination, because around here there are a lot of service men and women with their severe animals. A couple had been sitting there and siad” if we hadn’t already paid we would be walking out” I walked out and let the next people walking in know they just asked someone to leave because of their service animal. Disgusting place and I only say it because they didn’t even give us a chance to taste the food before asking my husband to wait outside with his service dog. Will never be back and want everyone to know what happened.

This place was great. It was very clean inside, friendly service, great price. The crust on the pizza is crunky in store but if you take how and microwave its soft. Great place will re visit.

Best pizza in town and the best price. Try the spinach knots, 2 dollar salad and sample the pastas. Also the meatball sandwich is awesome. Haven’t tried the deserts yet, but they look great too. Might be the best take out food place in the area. Not a great dining in experience, but definitely fine for lunch. Many folks call ahead and come pick it up for take out… I’ll be doing some more of that!

Called in a To-go order and wait time was 20 min. Not bad when my drive was 10 – 15 min to get there. Friendly employees and awesome display of their fresh foods. 20″ pizza was huge and one Slice had me full with as much toppings they put on it. Downside was my order was over $ 30 for a small cheese pizza, 20″ meat lover and cheese bread.
