Jessi is who we worked with when looking for our home and she made it so easy and personal, our first home buying experience was a breeze and pain free! We bought a home that had already been built and absolutely love it. These are new homes, so there will be little quirks that pop up with them. Thankfully the maintenance man and builder are prompt and pleasant to work with!

We bought a house from stylecraft about a year ago and we couldn’t be happier. We have had nothing but a good experience.

My fiancée and I built a home in north Waco last year and moved in in the middle of December. We had driven through the new Stylecraft subdivision a couple of times and thought — «meh, they’re ok homes». We were also looking at DR Horton as well as existing properties. We never stopped by the sales office until one Sunday when we were out looking at other properties and we just decided on a whim to stop by the sales office.
We were greeted by the sales assistant, Jessi, who showed us around the model home and was so knowledgeable and friendly. We probably spent 20 minutes or so looking around the model and talking to Jessi and we were sold. Unfortunately for us, Jessi was so good at being a sales assistant, they moved her to another neighborhood to be the sales executive, but we were happy for her.
So we hit a few bumps along the road while building our house, which is to be expected. I built a house in 1996 with a custom builder and the process with Stylecraft was much, much smoother. While these are production homes, we still got to select all of our finishes (tile, granite, flooring, paint, trim, cabinets and more). We even customized the master bathroom by taking out the standard garden tub and replacing it with a 6 foot shower. So, there are definitely options to customize your home to a degree.
A couple of negatives:
1 — We had a roof leak when we moved in. The original roofing contractor came back to fix it, but it still leaked. The good news was that Stylecraft fired the original roofing contractor and sent the new roofer to fix the previous guy’s mistake. I know it cost Stylecraft a couple bucks to have the new guy fix it, because he wasn’t going to honor the previous contractor’s warranty, but it was the right thing to do so we’re happy with the result.
2 — We moved in in December, so we didn’t start using the air conditioner right away, obviously. When we started to use it around the end of April, we discovered it had a leak, also! The a/​c unit is in the attic above the second floor, so when it started leaking, we noticed the paint on the ceiling starting to peel. They fixed it and replaced the sheetrock and repainted everything, so we’re happy with that.
There are bound to be problems any time you build a new home — there are too many things that can go wrong to not have any problems! Having said that, the warranty/​repair team at Stylecraft has been great to work with and very responsive. My brother in law and his wife live in west Texas but they are interviewing for some jobs around Waco and we have recommended to them that they look at Stylecraft if they are moving to Waco.

I loved the experience of buying our house with Stylecraft. We looked at alot of houses and different builders. From first meeting we talked about what we were looking for and Jessi took us right to the house we described. Once seeing it we wanted it. We looked at a few more but had to go back to the first one and went in to contract that day. We only had a few things we wanted to add to the house which they were able to do no questions asked. The price to quality Was superior to the other builders in the Waco area.
Closing was super smooth for us as well we had a little unique situation as we weren’t in waco for the closing and weren’t going to be their for another week. They had everything taken care of and got the walk throughs done for us and took plenty of pictures to keep us updated on the progress. I would highly recommend any body looking to buy or build their house to go down and look at the stylecraft homes.
