The staff and dentist are nice people.
The dentist tried doing a root canal but couldn’t find the last canal and so he had to refer me out to an endodontist. Since they both worked on the tooth, my total bill was almost double of what it would have been had I gone directly to the specialist to do the whole job in the first place.
I have always gone routinely to the dentist but as I have gotten older, some of the older fillings have slowly needed to be replalced. That I understand. However, his initial proposed treatment plan included doing something major to almost every tooth in my mouth. The proposed bill was 30K+ Needless to say, I was shocked. As a single mom without dental insurance this was totally out of the question. They simply offered me a credit plan application.
I have since been to two other dentists and have not been told all of this work needs to be done. Plus, of the work that does, they are very understanding about scheduling treatment so that financially it is comfortable for me.
Nice staff, but feels like a lot of their focus is to drum up a very expensive bill :-(

I have been seeing Dr Blickenstaff and his staff or almost 2 years now. They care for me, my wife, and our sons. Their hygentists are fun, sweet, and gentle (espeically Cori). They work with you to make sure you are comfortable. Dr Dan is relaxed and easy to talk to. They have the latest equipment (although I don’t think they offer movies during cleaning or anything like that). Very modern xray machines, etc. Nice office, easy location right off of Hwy 26 near Sunset Transit Center off of Cornell. My son likes to go there!
