From my one visit they had great service and very good breakfast food options. I like that it’s a locally owned business and what I hear from regulars is that the food is consistently good and freshly made.

Great food, big menu for a small place, friendly servers, comfortable atmosphere. The prices are great, too. It is pretty small, and about 1 out of every 5 times we go there, we have to wait for a table for a few minutes and I don’t like to wait. That’s the only complaint I have about this place. My kids like their giant pancakes, we all like all of the sandwiches, and their lemon chicken soup is perfect. I hope this place stays underrated so that we can continue quickly getting a table most of the time.

This is a great mom and pop place! There paninis are fantastic, expecially the gyro. It could use more meet but nevertheless great! They have the best hummus and pita! I like the fact that your meals come with delicious soup but they could give more or give french fried instead of chips. Overall great place.

This place is underrated, the food is very good. We had breakfast one day and dinner another. No complaints. The restaurant is small but the people are frendly.

So, I drive by this place all the time on my way through BFE King George. Eye catching frontage… clean parking lot… no outlaw bikers or rednecks in bubba trucks. Why not… its 9:15 pm and I could eat the tail off a hobby horse at this point in my day. I slide in, order a bacon cheese burger and start flippin’ Unilocal reviews… Whoa… Uncle Dave gettin’ a beat down from his patrons. To late to pull my order. Burger to go comes out pretty quick. Hot and decent size. Servers are super nice and steady cleaning as I waited for my order. Better quality than any lame ass fast food joint and I’m supporting a local business to boot. So there you go. I cant really complain except for cold drinks being served in to-go foam coffee cups with the sippie top. No bueno. Bottom line: This wasn’t The Melt gourmet cheeseburger by any stretch… ok, that wasn’t fair. Don’t beat on Dave’s Jr until you check it out.

This food is absolutely terrible. Got a bacon cheeseburger and it was a greasy, cold, odd shape piece of meat. The lettuce and tomato were so wilted and gross. Ordered cheese fries and they were cold. I literally ate none of it! That was my meal and my son had grilled cheese and cold fries. All that was $ 18. Would never ever go back. Oh I was the only one there at 2:15 and no excuse for cold food.

We stopped in for breakfast one morning. It’s really small but seemed to be locally owned so that was a plus. I ordered the chipped beef. Being from the south, I tend to want my favs when I come back home since it’s tough to get it most places. It was rich and creamy but there was hardly any beef in it. The other breakfasts seemed ok. It’s overly religious as well. I’m all for having your own beliefs but they shouldn’t be prominent in the restaurant.

The restaurant is poorly maintained and consists of limited seating. I went there to try the greek food and was severely disappointed. The grape leaves were canned and the spinach pie was store bought frozen. They advertised«chicken, rice and lemon soup» which is a traditional greek staple. The soup was full of oil and was a doctored up canned soup. I should of known better when the owner pronounced gyro«jie-ro» instead of «year-ro.» Also the gyro meat was not off of a spit and was microwaved. Horrible food, that I would not ever call greek.

We had dinner here one night. We had never been there before. It’s a small, family owned/run place. The menu had a HUGE selection, but the owner’s wife told us that their burgers and Greek choices were their most popular. Our son had the Chicken Milanese sandwich. He said it had great flavor and lots of bacon on it, but was a bit dry because it came with no mayo or anything. He said he would get it again but add mayo and maybe some lettuce and tomato. Two in our group ordered the Baked Mousaka. It came with a nice sized Greek salad with the dressing on the side and also some tzatziki sauce on the side, and also had a stuffed grape leaf! It came with some freshly baked, warm, pita bread wedges. They both said it was very good. Another person had the Gyro which he thoroughly enjoyed. I had the Stuffed Cabbage. It was as big as your fist, and came with the warm pita wedges as well. It also came with a house salad. Every one of our entrees came with the soup of the day. This day, I believe she might have called it Chicken Lemon Soup. I didn’t think our teenage son would eat it. The homemade soup was like chicken and rice soup, and if she did say lemon, I didn’t taste it. It was very good and even the teenager loved it! For dessert, two had the homemade Baklava, which had been freshly made that day, and they said it was fantastic. Two others had chocolate cake, and it was good. It’s also the biggest piece of cake I’ve ever got in a restaurant! We will definitely be trying this place again! I did notice that they had several flavors of hard ice cream available. This is probably why previous reviewers complained about milk shake prices. They obviously use REAL ice cream and not some mix. Also, we went prepared to wait for service. We used the time to visit and joke, and peruse the EXTENSIVE menu offerings. In small family owned and run places like this, service time is based on how busy they are. This night, the husband cooked, while the wife greeted/seated/served/cleaned/assisted with cooking. And we thought she did a great job! Closed on Sundays, open other days 7am-9pm. Breakfast served all day! Definitely a place worth trying in a town the size of King George!

Milkshake prices are ridiculously high for anywhere. $ 3 for 12 oz(who serves a 12oz milkshake anyway?) and 4.75 for 18 oz. The burger choices are vast and some sound tasty, but in the end it left me dissapointed the several attempts I made to enjoy them. BUT on the bright side every burger is sold with a side of… soup… I can’t tell what kind of soup because on the menu is just says«soup.» so the«soup» was decent and a nice suprise. If you’re in a hurry don’t come to Uncle Dave. One waitstaff for seven tables. Everytime I went there were not anyone else in the place, and still waited 35 minutes for food. Besides the milkshakes, everything else is moderately priced. And everyone is very nice. Uncle Dave(who I think used to be an electrician in Greece, but decided to open a restaurant in fumboozle Va instead) came and greated us. He’s a great guy!(who apparently loves soup)

I was a fan of this place until I ate a cowgirl burger with rancid roast beef. I took a few bites and smelled something bad. I opened my burger and took the roast beef out to examine it and it smelled disgusting. I had my order to go so I was home at the time and chucked all my food out. Shortly afterwards, I had stomach issues if you know what I mean. On to the service. On the occasions that we have eaten in the restaurant, the service was very good. You feel welcomed here. The burger prices are reasonable but as another poster pointed out the milkshake prices are high. The milkshakes are not that great in my opinion. When I drank one, it was runny. I was a fan but not anymore.
