in November of 2014, I visited Dr. Marco DiBonaventura for help with extended swelling and pain following a knee replacement. Nothing previous helped. During the initial consultation, he clearly stated what was going on with my body. Subsequent sessions with him took away my pain and swelling. And as an athlete, this meant everything to me! I was able to go back to doing things that made my heart sing!
I had never tried accupuncture and opted not to research it but rather to trust the process.
It was the best decision!
Dr. Marco, also helped with some depression and anxiety as I was also transitioning from a separation of a 27 year marriage. I can honestly say, I had no idea how amazingly accurate accupunture could be. And. what all can be treated with Traditional Chinese Medicine.

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in the early 2000s and spent years taking various muscle relaxers and pain meds to deal with the pain and fatigue. Finally, in the fall of 2012, I decided that I had enough of the medications and I was going to try something different. That decision led me to Dr. Marco DiBonaventura.
Dr. Marco worked with me to determine my chief complaints and developed a course of action to treat them. Besides the needle treatments, we addressed my eating habits, stress management and other lifestyle issues. He helped me to learn that many of my physical complaints were the result of my own lifestyle choices.
The initial results were dramatic. I noticed that my energy levels increased while my overall pain and fatigue decreased. My stress levels also began to diminish and I began to grow my fingernails back. (I was a lifelong nail biter) A year later, I had lost 20 pounds and am still experiencing many positive results of my treatment. I still visit Dr. Marco several times a year so that I can maintain my current physical and mental state. I’ve also visited him for help with other issues that usually require the attention of my primary care physician, like the flu, sinus infections and allergies. Although these occurrences have been rare, he has been able to treat them very effectively, and without Western medicine. I always look forward to the treatments because it allows me to work with Dr. Marco and focus on problem areas.

I tried Dr. Marco DiBonaventura because I saw an advertised special and had enjoyed previous trials of acupuncture for relaxation. What Dr. DiBonaventura did at my very first visit was challenge himself, «I don’t want to waste your time, we’ll see if there is something that I can do for you.» I wasn’t expecting anything else than to relieve some stress and try another type of acupuncture, the «Balance Method.»
What Dr. DiBonaventura did for me over the next several sessions was to not only relax my body, but to target areas that increased blood flow and totally relieved aches and pains I had suffered for years. I thought I was having degenerative symptoms in my knees and hip, but what Dr. DiBonaventura did in just a few sessions taught me that there are other options out there to help my body heal and perform in a more efficient way.
I would recommend anyone who wants to alleviate pain or discomfort to give acupuncture a try. But I would strongly recommend you do it with someone who is trained and specializes in healing. Dr. Marco DiBonaventura is my recommendation.
