Davey Tree Expert Co

Based on the Unilocal reviews, I thought I could not go wrong with this company… surprise, surprise!
I had someone come over and review the work to be done in early June. We talked for about half an hour. He missed some trees that should have been treated but… no problem… I showed them to him and he agreed they should indeed be treated! He gave me a quick estimate that proved better than another comepany I was using so I decided to go with them and sent them a check. It proved however that some of the work was missed in the estimate which is why it was cheaper… no matter… I had signed the contract!
I asked them to deal with me through email since my mother does not speak English. On June 9 I received an email that aknowledged receipt of the deposit… they were busy and were going to schedule me in a couple of weeks.
It is now July 22 and I have not heard from them after a couple of emails and a phone message that remained unanswered. I am now abroad and cannot insist with phone calls but, frankly, I have never been treated this way before… my check in their account and no response to email or phone calls!
I am not sure what happened to this company after all these wonderful reviews… I cannot attest to their work because after a month and a half, I have not been able to get them to do the work they contracted with me!
I hope you all have better luck than I did!

Had a huge dead oak very close to front
Of house. Davey took it down. They were very neat. Cleaned up. And I got a follow up call to make sure I was ok with the work.
Would use them again. But hope I don’t have another tree die.

They were quick to get me a quote and get the job done. The price was 2x lower than what I was quoted from another company. They were fair, easy to work with, professional and did a great job. I would definitely hire them again and only wish I found them earlier!

We originally had a friend give us an estimate, then another friend gave us a quote for $ 300. less, then some neighbors had a locally famous tree service doing work at their house– and gave us an estimate for $ 1000, less than the last guy, and out of nowhere comes Davey Tree with the best price of all, the nicest salesman, who called us back, showed up, and got the work done.
And we thought they’d be out of our price range. Thanks guys.
