It’s Halloween day and my husband is 3000 miles away from home. I wanted to surprise him with some Halloween candy, the employees in his hotel were useless. Couldn’t provide some little treat with their room service or suggest where I may be able to arrange for someone to deliver to their establishment. After a brief google search, I came accross the listing for«Sweet Factory». I spoke with Dean. Without hesitation, he was willing to put together a custom picked selection of candies, wraped for Halloween, to be hand delivered to my husbands hotel. I would like to commend Dean on his excellant customer service and for going above and beyond the call of duty. It’s amazing how just one persons willingness to do that little extra can make a difference! Thank you, Dean!

Who stops to think of the end price results when walking into a candy store? Not me that’s for sure and it was a dumb compulsive move on my part when my granddaughter saw a colorful candy store and squealed with delight. Her heart must have been beating fast as her little hand pulled me and her eyes were as big as saucers. Walls and rows and bins of candy, chocolates, chewy, hard, sours, nuts, mints, pucker powders, sugar free, taffy, jawbreakers, jelly beans and gummy bears! Holy heck and all for one unit price! My dear sweet, precious granddaughter and I were giggling with delight as we loaded up our bags with a little of this and a little of that and wallah we racked up a grand total of 4.65 pounds of candy all at $ 11.16 per pound for a grand total of $ 51.90! If you’re not thinking, like I was not thinking, you see that quarter pound price which is posted everywhere. They got me! I could have bought the same things at Acme for ten dollars, give or take. Oh well, I guess I’m not the only fool around as the Sweet Factory claims to be the«Candy Authority» and growing at a rate of five percent a year and they are only located in high traffic areas. Each American will consume an estimated twenty five pounds of candy every year, contributing to a twenty four billion dollar industry. Some more trivia that I learned while handing them my wallet, marshmallow Peeps are produced by Just Born, a candy manufacturer based in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. So sweet Sweet Factory, now that I know where you are located and what door not to enter the mall and then what corner not to turn, oh heck, who am I kidding I’ll be back, I’m a sucker for maple nut goodies.
