If you can survive a butt-burning 5+ hour drive from Boston, this is the place to ski. The long drive ensures that you’ll have short lift-lines and the place feels like you have it to yourself. Sugarloaf has very reasonable ski-in/ski-out lodging/ski pass/Sugarloaf $ packages. The condos or the Inn are wallet-conscious choices. For the best deals, buy the packages at the Snow & Ski expo every November in Boston or sign up for the emails.
The Shipyard Brewhaus in the Inn has great on-mountain food. Try their havarti and crab melt. Or you can join the crowds at the base lodge or the Bag & Kettle. Love their potato beer!
