Stopped on our way from Vegas to Phoenix. Good place to stop and eat. Kids meals reasonably priced and portioned. The BBQ chicken and ribs were really good. The baked potatoes are huge and we probably could have shared one– heads up the cheese is a «cheese» sauce so would have skipped they if I had realized. Good beer choices and friendly waitress. Clean restooms! At least the ladies; we didn’t use the men’s.

Had a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. The quantity for the price is a joke. The portions are very small. The slaw was very watery but the taste of the pulled pork was good. It comes sopped in sauce not dry. Probably won’t go back because can find a better elsewhere.

Stopped in Kingman for lunch on the ride to Vegas from Phoenix. Completely average food. The pork was rather dry, the slaw was rather wet, and the sauce was rather watery. Other than that, it was fine. Also, no brisket at a BBQ place?

The food at this place is delicious, I went there two days in a row on 2÷16÷16 an 2÷17÷16. I had the Andouille plate one day and the pulled beef the next. Both days I have the corn and the beans. The beans were delicious, and so yummy. That is a great accomplishment for me, because I really don’t beans. They have to be really good for me to enjoy them, let alone actually eat them. Next time I am in Kingman, AZ, I know where I am going to eat. I don’t know when the name changed, but the signs on the freeway for it and the map calls it Rednecks BBQ. On my way out, they offered a to-go cup for my drink, which is nice. I declined, as I did not want any more soda, but it is very nice of them to offer. I have no complaints about this place, none at all.

No smoke flavor. Coleslaw and potato salad are sub par. Bbq sauces were not good. Two stars for the nice atmosphere. I won’t be back.

The worst food I have tasted in a very long time. I tried this place a while back and hated it. These ppl really do not know to cook. My husband said let’s give them another try. Maybe it was just a bad day. I ordered the special fried chicken severed on Saturday. I kid you not, this was, without a doubt, the worst chicken I have ever had. It tasted like it was frozen, then microwaved into some horrible, strange springy mess. Then dipped in grease and battered and fried. The coating fell off and grease ran from the mystery meat. AWFUL! !!! Normally I don’t say anything and just don’t eat the food, but this stuff needed mentioning. They offered me a pulled pork Sandwich that was like mush. Didn’t eat that either, gave to to my husband.

Fall off the bone goodness, excellent(optional) sauces on the table. Beer, wine root beer available. They were patient with us ad newcomers and quick to serve. Mac and cheese was good but not special. Hubby loved the fried okra, salad was orebought but the fixing were fresh and the ranch was good.

I am always hesitant to try BBQ places. Being from NC, we are very particular about our BBQ and we tend to be just a little picky. This is a nice little place with plenty of seating, located right on historic Route 66 in Kingman, AZ. I had a pulled pork plate with baked beans and mac & cheese. It was pretty good! Not the Eastern NC style of BBQ that I love, but I enjoyed my meal. Not the best BBQ I’ve ever had, but far from the worst.

After a morning tour of the Kingman Hospital Center, our group of 12 decided to go here to satisfy our southern BBQ cravings. We got here pretty early around 11:30am, and there was no line, so we were able to order right away. Our server was very friendly. She showed us a guestbook that we could sign, and she gave out a free souvenir water bottle for each of us to take back to Flagstaff. I ordered their pulled bbq pork plate with cornbread, mac n’ cheese, and baked beans. I also tried a little bit of their sweet potato fries and onion rings. Everything tasted good overall with fairly standard portions. The mac n’ cheese wasn’t heavy on the cheese which I actually didn’t mind. The pork was tender and had the right amount of bbq sauce on it. I thought the cornbread was a little too dry, and the baked beans were slightly too sweet for me. I enjoyed their hot sauce though as it gave a nice kick to compliment the food. I do want to try their baked potato or nachos if I come back next time.

Stopped by this BBQ joint on my way east. It’s a decent spot – nothing to rave about but will satisfy your hunger easily because portions are huge so be careful what you order. The baked potato was huge and I hardly touched it because of its massiveness. You might just want to share something with someone to be sure no food will have to be converted to take-out! Some of the picnic table seats inside have the bench too close to the table so it’s hard to squeeze in and out, no matter what your body habitus is.

A barbeque place? In Kingman? Called Redneck’s Southern Pit BBQ? Really? I guess that’s not such a bad thing considering it is Kingman. Located about half a mile south away from the I-40 off of Beale St, it’s actually in a nice part of town. I was a bit surprised when I found out they have been there since 2004. What I ended up getting was a Bbq plate($ 10.49). You get your choice of meat from Pulled Beef«Tennessee Style», Pulled Pork, Pulled Chicken, or Andouille Sausage(2 links). Comes with 2 sides. Your choice of Country Cole Slaw, Chunky Potato Salad, Macaroni Salad, Bubba’s Baked Beans, Mac n Cheese, and Corn on the Cobb. Lastly you have a choice of Corn Bread or a Dinner Roll. You can also add any one of the other meats for $ 3.25 more. That doesn’t make much sense since its called a combo if you only have 1 meat. 2 meats would be more appropriate. I chose the Pulled Beef with Dinner Roll. Sides were Mac n Cheese and Corn on the Cobb. I used the Unilocal check in offer of a free drink with combo purchase. The pulled beef was basically brisket pulled apart like how you would do pulled pork. It had some flavor but for some reason I couldn’t taste any smoked flavoring. The mac n cheese was just average like something you could heat up in the microwave. The one thing that actually stood out was the corn on the cobb. If you refer to my pic, you have the option of them slathering butter on it and yes, they sure do put butter on it. As a tip I put down you can dip your roll or corn bread in the pool of butter that is on your plate so you don’t have to spread the butter on there with the packaged butter they give you. When you order your meat they ask if you want sweet barbeque sauce on it. Otherwise, there is hot sauce, some kind of Italian dressing, and their regular bbq sauce on every table. Service was standard. You grab a tray and tell them what you want, they put it on a plate, then hand it to you. Then you pay. All the utensils and other condiments you may need is there just after you pay the cashier. There is also ketchup, mustard, and tabasco as well as paper towels for clean up. Some useful info: Business hours Tuesday through Saturday 11 am to 8 pm. Closed Sundays and Mondays. Be careful when you park out on the street and in the parking lot for the parking blocks are raised pretty high. I ended up scratching the bottom of my front bumper. In closing, I really wasn’t blown away by anything except for the corn and maybe the sweet bbq sauce on the pulled beef. The lack of smoke flavor didn’t make things any better. I would say coming here would only be necessary if you live here and are craving bbq but don’t really wanna drive anywhere. Unilocal 2015 Review #72 «Yall come back now, ya hear! Umm… no thanks.» 570 overall

Much better than Dickey’s and Famous Daves, but still not so fantastic to go out of one’s way for. Their bbq sauces were decent and their side dishes pretty varied to accompany their meats. I had their Redneck Nachos which were more than enough for two people. My husband partook in their hot links. The food was nothing spectacular, just a shy above fast food in taste(salty and frying grease overpowering the dishes at times). We both sort of stumbled into this place on a road trip in Kingman, AZ. It’ll do to fill the tank for a fair price.

**Apparently, this place has changed names from«Redneck Southern Pit BBQ» to Floyd & Co. Real Pit BBQ sometime in the past four months. 12/2015** Rednecks don’t generally eat very good quality food, but they can usually be counted on for great barbecue. Unfortunately, in this regard, the name is misleading. This is a family-friendly spot with fun décor, but the actual barbecue menu items left a lot to be desired. MEATLOAF: The Friday special, this was actually pretty solid, and the house barbecue sauce complemented the flavors. It’s a cafeteria-style mystery meat though, with on one behind the counter able to really confirm what meat(s) or seasonings are included, maybe steer clear if you’re a picky eater. REDNECKNACHOS: Sliced and fried baked potato, topped with cheese, sour cream, green onions, jalapenos, and your choice of meat. Toppings are haphazardly thrown on in a bizarre ratio, plate was dominated by a giant scoop of sour cream but minimal onion or peppers and a small amount of dry, shredded chicken. The cheese is from a can(predictable, remember, this is redneck-style!) but apparently cheap, because it was tasteless. Wouldn’t get this again. SIDES: Pretty lame. The mac was alright, the beans were too sweet, the corn on the cob looked like it had been boiled to death. When I say this spot is family-friendly, it’s not for the food. Your kids will love the fun dining room, with themed booths(NASCAR, fishing, farm animals, hunting, etc) and it’s pretty decently priced for barbecue. Note that the menu doesn’t really emphasize the barbecue, despite the restaurant name. Meat plates only offer one meat per rather than combo options. Their featured dinner is a made-to-order prime rib for $ 24, but their giant baked potatoes and wacky redneck creations seemed to be the best menu items.

We arrived in the town of Kingman at about 7 on a toasty Friday afternoon, after travelling across I-40 from Barstow(as an aside, how people ever crossed that desert without air conditioning is astounding to me, but I suppose that once again displays it’s all about the relativity). As we hadn’t eaten anything since 1 apart from a diet Pepsi, after checking in at our motel, we were anxious for dinner. I’d read up on this joint, and was eagerly anticipating our meal. The meal itself was quite delicious, and as it turned out, rather economical. In hindsight, it appears that we weren’t charged for a number of items, which is how two people wound up with a full meal for under $ 20. Now, normally one would think this is a good thing for the customer, but I strongly suspect it was due to a strong degree of discombobulation amongst the staff. For all the talk about immigrants, legal or otherwise, into Arizona, during our entire stay within that state, which to be honest was less than 24 hours, we didn’t see a single Latino working. Nor for that matter, anybody else who couldn’t be described as ‘white’ — well there was one woman at a truck stop which I suspect was half-Asian, but that’s splitting hairs. As a result those who were working seemed to be either over 90 or under 20. In the case of Rednex, it was the latter, and it had the feel of a bunch of high school kids who couldn’t wait to get off work so they could get high and drink Coors Light until their hearts exploded. I think the guy who served us had already started. As for the meal itself, it certainly did what it was supposed to do — give us some sweet barbeque taste, fill us up with corn-on-the cob, and intrigue us with something called Bubba’s Nachos. I would pass on the Grand Canyon IPA, which was rather bland, and get something else to wash it all down. So, in essence, if you’re looking for cultural diversity, you need to go elsewhere. Otherwise, this place works just fine.

We came here and got BBQ on the way to the Grand Canyon, and we’re so glad we did! Super cute interior, fantastic pulled pork and friendly service. Pro tip: try mixing the hot and regular sauces for the perfect combination of vinegar and spiciness. Mmm, yummy! Oh and if you’re into classic arcade games, they have a few 2-player tables.

I’m not a huge BBQ fan, but there wasn’t much else open the night I passed thru Kingman, and this place was well-reviewed so I gave ‘er a shot. The staff was very friendly and helpful, but the food was just meh for the price. The BBQ meat was tasty, but the portions were kinda small and the sides were super lame. I had the nachos, which I felt was a pretty good value… huge crispy potato slices with lots of yummy toppings(I chose BBQ chicken). But my sis ordered the BBQ beef combo with sides of mac & cheese, cornbread and fried okra, and it was pretty weak for the price. The mac in particular was bland and lame. Ambiance was OK — super casual and with a sort of half-assed redneck country vibe. Not sure if I would come here again.

Redneck’s Southern Pit Bbq in Kingman, Arizona did not disappoint. The clerk at our hotel recommended Redneck’s, and we are so glad she did. Wish we had discovered this place on previous trips to the area. Better late than never. We arrived near closing time, and the restaurant was empty. I thought to myself…“oh, this is not a good sign”. Fortunately, I had nothing to worry about. We had a wonderful experience here. My wife and I headed to the counter while the rest of our party found a table for all of us. Here is what we ordered: 1. Two Full Racks of Ribs for $ 23.95 each. That was enough to feed our group of 7 people. The orders came with some sides and bread as well. The corn on the cob, coleslaw, and bread were all good. The Ribs were«fall of the bone» very good! Some of the best ribs I have tried anywhere.(4.25 stars) 2. Chicken Pot Pie for $ 7.95 was excellent! One of the employees recommended this. OMG, am I glad he did. Their Chicken Pot Pie is the best that I have ever tried!!! Everything from the crust to the fillings inside was downright fantastic!!! Would come back just for their Chicken Pot Pie!(5 stars) 3. Peach Cobbler was good.(3.5 stars) 4. Frozen Lemon Pie was $ 5.99. It was delicious!(4 stars) The service provided by their employees was superb! They were all very helpful and kind. They did not rush us to leave even though we arrived close to closing time. By the time we finished, it was past 8 pm. Nothing racist about Redneck’s at all! Wish all businesses had staff that were as good as the ones who helped us that evening!(5 stars) The décor of the place was very cool. I enjoyed how the restaurant was set up. Quite unique. Very welcoming!(4.5 stars) Overall, we were all happy with our dinner here at Rednecks! I can recommend them for some yummy food, and a fun dining experience! Enjoy!
