The environment was fine but the service and food was unfortunately not great at all. The games were nice and created a fun, laidback environment and the entertainment was pretty good. But the food and the service killed it for my group. It took over an hour to get us hot dogs(which was basically the only thing on the menu), and they didn’t even have a handful of the options avail that were on their menu! It would be fine if they were running low on ingredients, but they could have at least told us before we ordered and subsequently paid for the items that we never received… they couldn’t even process a refund but instead offered us beer or a hotdog… Either this place is seriously understaffed or their management and staff are just a tad too mellow for my liking… I’m thinking it’s the former.

Great beers and staff. Fun place to hang out. Just okay food. Basically a choice of sausage on a stick or a bun. Easy parking.

Cool but way more bro’d out than the Truckee spot. Right on the lake, though, so it pretty much makes up for that

Super interesting place to hang out in Crystal Bay/Kings Beach. The drink selection was awesome — I’m personally not a fan of beer, but was surprised to find they also had ciders on tap! Came here two days in a row to play cornhole, drink, and eat sausage! Wish there were some more games to play while hanging out — most of the board games were missing large amounts of pieces.

My favorite place to hang out on the north shore. Fun outside games, great beer selection and a laid back atmosphere. :)

I love beer. Honestly LOVE. And this place has a magnificent selection! Plus, they have yummy lunch. Nice location and fun little place to stop at when passing through Tahoe.

This is a pretty sweet beer and snacks spot. I came here with a party of five on a Sunday afternoon during ski season. We didn’t have any problems getting a seat(or letting our dogs chill out under our table). The beer selection here is awesome. Tons of variety, a lot of Northern California beers I hadn’t tried before. The menu featured a lot of grill items and snacks. I enjoyed a sausage sandwich and potato chips. Only downside is that they appeared to only have a tiny grill and it took a while to get everything out. Seemed reasonably kid-friendly. There were a ton of games and a jumbo sized Jenga stack to play with.

Even if it’s to stop for a beer and a frank, you MUSTSTOP. They have a HUGE selection of draft craft beers, some amazing sausages on some amazing rolls, and the guys who work there are mad knowledgeable about their beers and cool as shit. We go to Tahoe once a year over Xmas, and this is now a customary lunch stop.

I am a regular at the Truckee location. The KB location has a warmer ambiance, but the operations aren’t keeping up. Last time I visited, the grill was broken. This time, they are out of sauerkraut. Their sauerkraut comes out of a jar, is a skimpy portion, and they don’t even bother to heat it… so there is no excuse to be out of it. Ever. Wasteful oversized portions of expensive mustard. Cheapskate undersized portions of sauerkraut. 4 stars for Truckee, 2 for KB … averages to 3 stars.

Great beer list and overall nice vibe/atmosphere. I ordered the pretzel and it was pretty mediocre; it reminded me of frozen soft pretzels you can get from the grocery store. It deterred me from getting dinner but as far as I could tell from other tables the sausages are where its at. I recommend this place for the beer for sure, food not so much.

Service and food were honestly mediocre here. The servers were really slow to our requests; we waved at them 100+ times because they messed up our order and then 10 minutes later, they finally came to our table, finally. I was gonna give them just two stars but I decided to give them three because they played the grateful dead after some guys told them to play some rap music.

Very cool shack. Stopped after day on the slopes. Cool décor if you like beer signs taps and logos. Nothing H special as far as seating, but great for groups or couples. Sat at the bar and Alaysha(sp)*had these cool dreads and super friendly and knowledgeable about the beers they had. A lot of beers on tap. Wife had a light beer from Grand Teton brewery. And She recommended the Knee Deep for me and it was Awesome. Would have had 2 but content was 10% and on an empty stomach. They have some food there too. Got the pretzel. Was perfect what we needed. So, if looking for high class, don’t go. We will definitely come back though.

This place is amazing, you would never believe such a small bar has such a ridiculous beer list. As far as what’s on tap right now I highly recommend the Deschuttes Black Butte 27th.

I like this place… It’s nice to go there during the summer and have a great beer outside. They should have more options of food or snacks but the bar is great.

We stopped by here on the way to Kings Beach. They had so many beers on tap it was overwhelming! My friends tried a few of the offerings while I ordered the pizza pretzel. Everything was good, from the beer to the snacks. I love that they have outdoor seating.

I was so excited to try out North Lake Tahoe’s only micro brewpub when it opened about four years ago. I haven’t seen anything like it on any side of the lake in all my years of coming here. And lucky me, it is within walking distance of where I get to stay when visiting beautiful blue Lake Tahoe. Their choice of microbrews is incredible for such a small physical space. I have seen beers that are local and also ones from as far over as Allegash on the east coast. In the summer it’s great to hang out on their patio and play life size jenga or their other games available for groups. The guys who work here are super chill and knowledgable about their beer. I always look forward to stopping in here in the evening for some good drinks!

Excellent, hospitable service with a tasty beer selection. We arrived 10 mins before opening – a party of 8 including kids and they let us in and served beer and snacks! Really friendly, really accommodating. The patio is hot on a hot day and noisy if the road is busy but inside was cool and the booths inside were good for a group.

We waited for 20 minutes for them to open, watched 2 other couples come by and leave. When 3:04pm came around, the chairs were still not set up. We called while standing outside just to see if anyone was even working, no answer. Dear Manager, please update your hours or hire someone to arrive to work on time.

Um, I am in love with this place. Right on the stateline between Nevada and California, this little gem is a total local haunt. Younger crowd, not overly crowded, mellow, and helpful staff. The menu is very limited: some sandwiches, sausages, and some apps, and the beer list is extensive — with rare beers like Alpine Nelson, but everything is super affordable. I had the Elk Sausage, a couple warm pretzels, the pork snack(a small pork bone-in bbq cut), and a couple beers, while my boyfriend had a sandwich and iced tea, and the bill came out under $ 40. #winning.

Every time I stop by here when I’m visiting Tahoe, I have nothing but great things to say about this place. They now have pulled pork tacos and they’re SO good. I think they’re $ 6.50 and you get two of them. As always, great selection of beers to choose from. Lagunitas rep was there again and he’s super nice. He gave us a couple of Lagunitas posters and offered a couple beers on him. Also, there were about 4 or 5 people that needed more space to sit at the bar so my husband and I moved to a table. That group ended up paying for our beers we had at the bar and we didn’t even know it until we decided to close our tab and leave. Wish we could’ve thanked them in person(hope you guys are reading this!!).
