River Barn Suites

Pam is an amazing hostess. I really recommend adding the meals as she is a great cook. We had dessert in the Tree house with amazing views at night. We felt right at home. Dogs are welcome in the cabins. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Pam is a consummate hostess. She welcomed my husband and I, not to mention my darling doggie, with a brief tour and left us to unpack in a very comfortable suite. After getting out of our city clothes and into proper swim gear, hubs and I headed down to the sparkling river bank, lawn chairs and floats at the ready, provided by Pam. Once on the river, the cares of every day drifted away as the peace of the place took over. After a swim and a bit of fishing, we headed up to the barn in the golf cart provided for the duration of our visit. Our plan was to BBQ a couple of steaks. Pam had several grills to choose from, and suggested one in particular. While conversing about grills, the need to get away and other such things, my husband told Pam that it was our wedding anniversary. Before I knew it, Pam had a beautiful place setting for us on her restful deck, complete with freshly made iced tea, table cloth and soft music. The next treat she had for us was in the Adult Tree house. A single red rose had been left on the steps of the tree house as a signal to my husband that our special treat was ready. The scene was magical, with fairy lights twinkling and classic love songs playing on the boom box. We had brought a bottle of champagne with us and Pam had left place settings once again, as well as a freshly made, buttery, not too sweet Caribbean Pineapple cake, still warm from the oven, full of pineapple, golden raisins, nuts and absolutely delicious. A perfect accompaniment to the champagne.
Every thing about River Barn Suites is casual, comfortable, and welcoming. All a tribute to Pam’s talent for making her guests feel welcome and special.
