Literally the worst coffee I have a ever had. More than watered down. There’s a Dunkin donuts right across the street that serves better coffee than this poor excuse for a coffee shop.

Saturday, 2:00PM. Quickie: — Drink quality + Friendly staff — Cleanliness — Lagging wi-fi speed — Slow turnaround + Spacious + Warm vibe And then??? There were only two other customers but the wi-fi connection operated at a snail’s pace. ********** Got my drank on: 1. Iced latte — Where’s the flavor? Constructive comments: *Option to compost? *Source ingredients?

I have been here several times, always hoping it will be better. Unfortunately, I’ve never had a good experience. The coffee and food is average. The music is always way too loud for me to study or talk to a friend. The employees are consistently rude and indifferent. On top of everything, it’s usually sweltering hot upstairs, and there is never anywhere to sit.

I went into bagelz looking to get something a little healthier and filling than a bagel for lunch. I decided to try their chicken ceaser salad. I didn’t have very high expectations seeing as bagelz is obviously known for their bagels. The chicken in this salad was absolutely disgusting. It was a slab of slimy/rubbery specimen in my salad, and the skin on it kept snapping back at me. I couldn’t eat it without feeling nauseous. I would stick to just the basics here. Also pretty overpriced… I paid $ 7.99 for a salad that made me lose my appetite.

Bagelz is where I usually go to get breakfast or even lunch. The location is super convenient especially if you live on-campus. The bagels are delicious and always taste fresh. My favorite is the everything bagel but I have also enjoyed their salt bagels and the biscuits are delicious. I stick to plain cream cheese which is really good, but they have a variety of cream cheese options. Towards the end of the day they may run out of bagels which is a let down but if you get there early you’ll be satisfied. It also may sometimes be busy since it’s located on a college campus, so I always give myself a few extra minutes in case the line is long. The staff is always super friendly and most of them know my order by heart. The owner is a wonderful woman who is so helpful and very kind and generous. Bagelz is a nice study spot and a great place to have a small meeting. I highly recommend Bagelz for a quick breakfast sandwich or bagel.

First time at Bagelz. Walk in and it’s pretty crowded, mostly URI students which makes perfect sense. The set up is kind of cramped but not in a bad way, just crowded. I order an egg and cheese on a salt bagel and the girl who took my order was pretty snarky, zero attempt at customer service and I’m noticing that actually all 5 people back there seem generally annoyed. No smiles behind that counter! And there’s this older woman, I’m assuming she’s the boss lady(she seems in charge) and she is LEADING the Cranky Parade. So anyway, I’m watching these people and my bagel arrives, and it’s good. It’s really good actually. Lightly toasted, the bagel tastes super fresh. I’d order it again. I’m a sucker for good customer service though… so 3 stars it is.

Unfortunately this Bagelz is not my favorite location, but it’s convenient on campus. I can get my plain bagel with lox spread fix here, but only if I’m already on campus. The bagels are consistent at both locations, but the service is not. The service at this location is significantly worse. You never know what kind of day you’ll have walking into this Bagelz and that’s unsettling at best. Typically it’s okay, but then you get those really rude employees that could care less about whether or not you order your food. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes their employees are super nice and attentive, but unfortunately here, the bad outweighs the good as far as service goes. It’s not a bad study spot, but the Wakefield location is where it’s at. Also, parking here can be tricky because it’s technically not on URI’s campus. Be careful you don’t get towed!

Bagelz has a great atmosphere. Comfy and warm. I love sitting in the loft area. My favorites from here are the chicken noodle soup and salt bagel. Although they’re a little pricey, I find it totally worth it. The service is aways extremely courteous. I come here 2x a week and they’re always friendly. It’s usually a little crowded, though, and sometimes service is too slow. BEWAREOFTHEPASTRIES. They’re never good. Update: tried Thanksgiving soup. LOVEDIT. Similar to clam chowder, minus the seafood element. Tastes just like November.

Bagelz got me goin’ during my college days at good ol’ URI. But it was little on the pricey side for a broke college student like myself.(Kinda doubt they lowered the prices since last year.) But it was the next best thing if I wanted something more than your typical DD brew. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good Dunkin’ brew– but every now and again you would like some spiced chai to go with your breakfast. That being said, their coffees are«alright» kinda on the watered down side. But that could be just the hyped up over caffeinated self that I am. But everyone typically stops by for their bagels. Duh. Bagelz. Get it? Their bagels are pretty good and they have a wide selection. That is if you come in early because by the time you get there in the afternoon– you can kiss those the bagel specials and the fan favorites goodbye– cause those things go! Personally, what had me coming back was their homemade herb cream cheese with an everything bagel and tomato. Mmm! What knocks this down from a 4 to a 3, is the layout. There is usually a line out the door(typically a good sign), that cramps up to the front of the register which is poorly placed on the side of the only exit. There are small seated areas along the walls and by the posts on the first floor. The kind of place someone with claustrophobia would hate to be in. They have a cool looking loft-like second floor… which on the summer months is a sauna! Overall the atmosphere is nice. A little disorganized and chaotic during peak hours. but nice either way. Also, beware: they tow like crazy in that plaza. So make it crazy obvious that you are walking in here and not to class. Make it so obvious that you don’t have to worry about them towing your car. Even though you’ll still wonder if they are. And yes, someone is watching you.

Ice Coffee… BagelZ Sandwiches… BagelZ of the Day… Cream Cheese Of The Day It’s all AMAZING! BAGELZ got me thru my URI days! (just don’t leave your car in the parking lot too long… towed!)

two thumbs WAYWAY down. avoid at all costs — be sure to read the filtered reviews. Bagelz has never been my favorite coffee spot, but working in the same area i would hop over for a cup of soup(it’s straight up robbery for how much they charge and how little you get), coffee in the summer(tastes like whatever you originally wanted plus a glass of water), and sometimes just some hot water for tea(i don’t care for their brands offered, plus they always charge you differently depending on what tea you pick) when i was on the go. i would justify going because of the convenience, nice atmosphere and decent customer service. today however, changed all that– this morning, i was headed to work and needed some hot water for tea. i was served by the older woman who is there most mornings. last week i had ordered a hot water with no problem. as i order she gives me a dirty look, rolls her eyes to her coworkers and gives the cup to me with no lid. i was going to let that go, but working in a restaurant i didn’t want to spill it everywhere, so i ask for a lid. she again gives me a mean look– when i go to retrieve the lid, she says, «this is normally just for our PAYING customers». i was APPALLED. i have been going to this location for years, and to be treated so very poorly astounds and disgusts me. i simply answered that i didn’t realize it was such an issue and that i buy things regularly there, to which she replied«well *I* have never made you anything but water». that is both incorrect and irrelevant. a customer is a customer is a customer. lady, i hope you’re reading this review. you need to check your customer service practices. just so we’re clear, i have spent a good amount of money at Bagelz since i began attending URI. i have bought: most of your tea offerings, banana iced coffee in the summer, a selection of your special coffees, your stale bagels, desserts, and soups. i’m sure the assorted punch cards sitting in my trash will speak for how frequently i was a paying customer.

The chicken salad bagel is pretty much the only thing I ever get here. Sometimes they forget the pickle, which is kind of sad. The bakery stuff always looks really great but it’s so busy during school days it’s almost impossible to look around. The staff is pretty friendly, and the upstairs is cozy.

The coffee is terrible. It tastes like bad gas station coffee. The chai is terrible. The bagels are just OK. If is morning and I am starving or in a hurry, well, any port in a storm…
