Benedictine Hospital

My husband had a total hip replacement at Benedictine Hospital earlier this summer. As we both have had all our surgeries in NYC hospitals or out-​patient clinics over the past 35 years, I was apprehensive about a small, local hospital that neither of us had any experience with. I should not have worried, as this was by far the best hospital care that my husband has ever received. The staff and administration is highly organized and well trained. My husband’s room and bathroom were spotless and cleaned regularly. The nursing staff and PT’s are not only excellent at what they do, but extremely pleasant and were solicitous of my husband’s comfort, as well as mine. The surgeon was superb. My husband was up and walking within 5 hours of his surgery and discharged within 48 hours. We are very happy with the results and would go back to Benedictine’s orthopedic unit again, should the need ever arrive.

The hospital needs some updates and additional staffing, though staff was personal.
