EMPACT Northwest is a charitable organization comprised of medical professionals providing disaster relief, medical education and ongoing medical aid to communities in need. This NGO (Non Government Organization) was founded in 2010 in response the Haiti Earthquake. A team of their volunteers has now made their way to Northern Japan and is currently operating in Ishinomaki in conjunction with the Japanese Red Cross.
I just purchased a gorgeous letterpress Matsushima print ($ 30/each) from Bruce Smith & Yoshiko Yamamoto at The Arts & Crafts Press.
. Proceeds go to Empact’s medical relief efforts in the Sendai area of Japan.
