I went here for an oil change before driving to Oregon. When I stopped to get an oil change in Montana I was refused service because they put a large expansion plug in the oil pan and cemented it w silicon. They also didn’t alert me the bolts for the air filter were rusted and rounded off and that I needed brake and rotor work done before I left. It’s not a good feeling to be on a long driving trip knowing the shop that said you were set to go wasn’t honest or observant. The only plus was the speed of service.

Summer 2015: I went back to Chris for what someone told me was a leak in the air conditioner core. He told me that I just had a small leak, but not in the main core… saving me a bundle. I’m so grateful for the good AC charge that he did, because — unlike past work at other places — my AC has been super cool! Thanks so much for the great work, Chris!
I also had my timing belt or chain (don’t know what I have… maybe a rope?) replaced at the same time. Chris took a look at the engine and told me it looked good.
BOTTOM LINE: This garage is honest, reasonable, competent and caring. Even though it’s out of my way, I’ll be back!

Ran over a nail and brought my tire here. They patched it up at a great price and in just over a half hour, knowing I needed to get to work in a hurry. Even sitting in the waiting room was a pleasure – a real friendly staff and familiar clientele.

I started having trouble with my rear brakes and had it evaluated at 2 other places in town, both chain places. A friend referred me to J & H so I called. They got my car in right away. They found what was wrong and fixed it.
Their prices and service are great. It is very important to note that they did not try to scam me and tell me things needed replaced when they didn’t, like another place did.
Bottom line — I would trust Chris with my Grandma’s car and, as much as I hope I won’t need to go back, J & H will be my first and only choice for auto repair in the future.
