Kingston State Park

The Kingston State Park is a seasonal park, open full-​time generally from the beginning of June through the beginning of September. During this time, the park offers 44 acres and includes 300-​feet of a swimming area, fireplaces, picnic areas, a playground, softball field, three game areas for horseshoes, volleyball, canoe rentals, bathhouses with dressing rooms and flush toilets. The park also accepts reservations for business parties, wedding receptions, kids groups, family functions, and other general gatherings. Alcohol is not permitted, nor are Pets.
In the off season, when the park is closed, I find this the most peaceful time to arrive at the park. It’s peaceful and enjoyable to walk the trails, sit in front of the water and just gaze out across while reading a good book or just to relax.

As a former resident I can say that most townies probably avoid the place during the summer months. this little gem is being ruined by the visitors from south of the border –Mass.) KSP should be removed from the auspices of the New Hampshire State Park System and be ceded over to Town Only membership, IMHO.

This place really is beautiful and a great place to enjoy a day HOWEVER when people get here it is ruined. I don’t know who told jackass college to come here but there is a more than fair amount of terrible clientele here.
So here are just a few stories– the people blast their music so loud. I can take me some classic rock or radio rock and even stomach country if I have to but this is straight up mariachi music and I just don’t speak Spanish so it’s hard to appreciate.
One time I went to the bathrooms and when I was coming out some thug woman– like someone who definitely has been or will be in jail threw her hands up like she wanted to fight me because I opened the door as she was going to open it too. Wth!
Lastly there was a very very large woman and a very very little man. The woman was wearing a bikini that barely covered her nipples and the man was rubbing sunscreen all over her body and humping her leg. This was her stomach too– he was kneading her skin. So unacceptable in public and shocking.
Oh and don’t forget the dirty diapers in the water!
So in short– nice place when there’s no people.
