L. T. Begnal Motor Company

Well quick easy, most of the transaction was done by phone. We bought our second pick-​up and we do take great care to our vehicles so they are glad to take ours in,
Low mileage and always in good condition.
So we went to in after discussing what we wanted Will waited on us the same salesman of three years ago. The manager and the finance man were super polite.
Should have went there long ago, Kudos Bengal!

We purchased a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee from Begnal Motors on August 15^th. Within 24 hours from picking up our car, we had issues. The car went into limp mode, it wouldn’t go above 25 miles per hour. We dropped the car off to be repaired on Sunday, August 18^th. It turned out to be 3 major fixes that needed to be done and it would be about 5 days to complete.
The problem here is not just that we had issues with the car, but the customer service we received AFTER they got our money:
1) Nobody called us once to apologize for the inconvenience of a car we purchased from them breaking down within 24 hours of us having it.
2) Nobody returned our calls when we asked to speak with the management of the used car department (Kevin) about everything that had happened. (The fact that we had to call is a little twisted too, I feel they should have called us to just extend an apology…)
3) We had to ASK for a loaner car after being told our car would be out of commission for about a week.
Call me crazy but this is not how you treat customers who made a hefty investment with your company. Begnal has not only lost our future business, but lost our trust in them as a business.
That all being said, we actually will miss working with Jim, a salesman in the used dealership. We have worked with him twice in the past 2 years, he got us into both of our vehicles and did everything he could do on his end to make us happy. Unfortunately the people above him who should have stepped up to do the right thing failed. The service department was also very helpful in explaining the problems with the car and getting the car back as fast as they could.

Well here we go again we were ripped off on the original deal as you can see in my first review. Now the Jeep has developed a crack in the body of the Jeep near the rear bumper there are no signs of an accident it just cracked on a surface that faces upward. The employee that took pics even commented there was no evidence of collision, Now they are refusing to fix it even though the car was within in the 36 000 mile warranty. Horrible, horrible, horrible. Do not purchase your vehicle from this dealership. After hours of negotiating I decided to purchase a car from them only to realize that after crunching my own numbers when I got home they were submitted me for the exact loan I said I was NOT interested in. I was discouraged after having a specific price in mind that was going to be unattainable. I called out the sales manager Paul on it and he proceeded to tell me «listen I made my quota for the month what are we doing here»… With that I told him to refund my deposit-​which I have yet to see happen. So I will be disputing the charge with my bank. I’m shocked at the level of poor customer service and overall attitude of all the employees, especially the finance guy who was irritated when I turned down the extended warranty. Just an awful experience. I’m only putting one star because they make you otherwise it would be none.

I am currently driving my 4^th vehicle purchased from Begnal. Oh and did I mention I live 200 miles away in Philadelphia and have probably 100 Jeep dealerships closer to me than Begnal is …
I go to Begnal because the Sales Manager, Paul Roeber has always treated me and my friends wonderfully. He gets the best deals and all the incentives he can for us and is very straightforward and honest with the pricing.
If you’re hesitant to believe me, here’s my recommendation. Pick out the base version of a vehicle (something every dealer will have on their lot) and go to other dealerships and ask them to give you their best quote on that vehicle. Now go to Paul and ask the same question. Without fail, Paul will come back with a better price every time. Now that you believe me tell Paul exactly what options, colors, etc you want and let him get it done for you.
You’re foolish if you don’t go to Begnal when you’re looking for a car.
