I am beyond livid right now. I spent an hour selecting and trying on clothes and finally came up with three items. One was a nice dress where the price tag fell off as I was trying it on. When I brought it to the counter, the tag was not on so I told the girl the price. But she said had to go to the back room to get a price. Meanwhile I went to the fitting room and found the original tag which was the same price as I’d said. However when she returned, she said the dress was 2−½ times the price. Pricing here is arbitrary at best. I’ve seen stuff from Dollar Tree priced at $ 3 and $ 4. The merchandise is usually chain and big box store stuff as that seems to be the clientele donating. It’s fairly easy to find serviceable clothing at a decent price and there’s always a half-price ticket color, but harder to find really nice or good things, so it was especially frustrating to have this happen. Almost all of the household items are overpriced though occasionally they make a mistake in your favor. They say the pricing is done at the main office, but I saw the manager shaming one of the employees in public one day for pricing something too low. Embarrassing all around. I only go here, because it’s convenient and less of a mess than the Goodwill down the street. I recommend ReStore(Habitat for Humanity’s thrift outlet) which is a couple of miles away, though I don’t think they have clothing. I am giving two stars — and maybe it even deserves more — because merchandise is serviceable and affordable and the store is well organized. However I am not happy with the management just now.

As an avid thrifter, I’m in here at least once a week. Like any second hand store, the merchandise is hit or miss. The employees aren’t always the nicest, but the prices tend to be fair which keeps me coming back.

If you’re looking for value in furniture, skip this one. Someone got lost on the way to their job at Raymour and Flanigan and couldn’t put down the pricing gun. Get real! People come looking for bargains, not $ 300 sideboards…

Saw an attractive oil on paper still life for $ 12.99. Now that’s a thrift store deal. Prices are reasonable, much less than New York City. Found a 4-cup Mr. Coffee coffee maker for $ 3.99. They hang trousers and slacks on their sides so that it’s easy to look at the tag inside. How ingenious. The lady who cashed me out loved my dog and gave her treats. The store is well-organized and surprisingly for this upstate thrift shop, had a better selection than I expected. If I owned a second-hand store in the city, I would come here and look for stock. They take large furniture before 4pm in the back of the building. Otherwise, late arrivals can be brought inside. The website says the store closes at 5, but I was there until 5:40 or so.
