Terrible. Dried up, old chicken in my salad and an undercooked egg. Also, so much cross contamination took place right in front of my eyes. Never again.

Decent pizza and a super friendly staff! I had the Chicken Bacon Ranch and it was pretty good, especially for«mall pizza.» And, bonus, unlike most pizza establishments(I am using the term«establishment» loosely), they have cupcakes!(They looked delicious, but I just wasn’t hungry enough to order one.)

The other day when I stopped off at this fast food establishment(on the same site as Sbarro), I was amazed. I had been to eat at Sbarro, and now that Sbarro was gone, wanted to try this place out. I know I can compare my visits, but not in a good sense. Yes, they have pizza, but what you don’t know(or not until I tell you yet) is that their pizza has a special«ting» of salt that makes this pizza super salty. When you added the salad dressing that I was mandated to buy with my pizza(in what I thought would have been a great deal) actually turned out to be something I would have refused to buy if I had been given it for no additional cost. What a bad decision I made that day, and I shall never make it again. The Caesar salad dressing had no taste, and to make things even worse, I overheard the employee who presented my food say that he didn’t know where the dressing cup came from and decided to pour the dressing in the cup. I should have stopped him right there, but let him pour it in anyways, as I wasn’t thinking straight. Be careful what cup you pick up here. They keep their Tips jar close to your beverage cup — don’t get confused.

This Savona’s Plaza Pizza location in the Hudson Valley Mall food court offers several kinds of pizza by the slice(thin crust(NY) and Sicilian), whole pizzas, strombolis, calzones, pasta dinners, garlic knots, create your own salads, desserts(cupcake, cannoli, cookie), and Pepsi fountain drinks. Also, the menu here is streamlined(food court counter operation), in comparison to their other Kingston locations, which also offer subs, wraps, wings, and additional pasta dinner selections. The prices here seem pretty reasonable, a cheese slice $ 2.50, gourmet & Sicilian slices $ 3.25, strombolis & calzones $ 5.95. CYO salads $ 7.95+, and pasta dinners with garlic knots $ 5.95-$ 8.95. Combo meal deals $ 5.95-$ 9.95 are also offered(pizza slices, stromboli, pasta dinner) with side salad & drink. Combo 2 includes Two cheese slices, side salad and drink($ 6.95) Combo 5 includes Any pasta, side salad, drink, and dessert($ 9.95). After shopping at the mall, I decided to stop at Savona’s for a couple gourmet slices of pizza($ 3.25 plus tax each). I decided on a thin crust spinach & eggplant slice and a Sicilian tomato alfredo slice, which were heated up in the oven. Both pizza slices were good size and tasted really good! The thin crust slice was crisp on the bottom and soft and slightly chewy texture, topped with leaf spinach, breaded thin eggplant slices, garlic, oil, and cheese. The Sicilian slice had a soft thick crust along the edges and bottom, topped with fresh tomato wedges, creamy alfredo sauce, and melted cheese. I give the pizza slices by Savona’s two thumbs up and it’s way better than the typical standard food court pizzas(at other malls) I’ve had.
