I am revising my original review upwards because, in fairness, I posted my original review in a moment of frustration, without first contacting the store to give them a chance to explain or resolve the problem I encountered. After a few emails, Todd agreed that it would be helpful for him to clarify what and where some resources are available for staff to provide to customers. Kudos for being willing to clarify and solve problems, as they inevitably will crop up now and then in any business. The staff have always been positive, upbeat, efficient, and willing to help. I recommend this store for both high quality product, and a positive result.

I’m sad to report the poor service that I received from this UPS store. I was referred to this store by a local auction house where I had won the bid on a few auction lots recently. The week following the auction I contacted this UPS store via phone to get a quote and get the ball rolling on pick up and shipment of my items. They were clearly slammed from the previous weeks auction and it was all they could do to take my phone number and take my email address to get a quote out to me because they were very busy. I waited a few days after receiving nothing from them and called them again and got the same hurried response that they were very busy and will get a quote out to me when they could. In frustration I contacted a nearby UPS store in Hudson, NY via phone to see how their service was in comparison. Both stores were close to the auction house. The Hudson UPS store was happy to help me and phoned me back in under 7 minutes with a highly accurate quote. I authorized pick up and shipment of my auction items and they were timely in picking up the items and shipping them to me promptly and safely. Meanwhile another week or so goes by and my well packed box arrived safely from the Hudson UPS store. And in my email inbox this same day was my quote from the Kingston UPS store. Sadly it took over two weeks to get my quote from Kingston and by then I already had my item in hand as shipped by Hudson. Kingston needs to beef up it’s staff or work longer hours to keep up and kick it up a notch after these auctions or they will continue to chase away new customers.

Incorrectly sorted my package which delayed delivery. The package was ice cream, so obviously it melted. I understand these things happen, however when you are a service company and you make a mistake an apology is typically in order. No apologies from UPS, very rude and really didn’t care about my situation.

I’ll keep this one short, because I haven’t been in this location all that much. Although this one is located at the SW portion of this«going downhill mall» the people in here do care enough to serve their customers and never to exceed the customer’s expectations. I may be a customer to UPS at present, but this location doesn’t thrill me all that much.
