The «white trash» is so good! The pulled pork was cooked perfectly and the max and cheese within the sandwich was actually delicious. The chipster was decent, but no where near as good as the white trash. The seating and décor is kind of weird inside so we sat outside.

Great grilled cheese options, not your normal white bread & American cheese. Only problem is that I never seem to catch the place open!

We stopped here for lunch on our way to catch the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard. They have a great selection of Grilled Cheese and at reasonable prices. I enjoyed a dessert sandwich with Nutella. It was ooey and gooey and DELICIOUS! I can’t wait to try more next time I’m in town.
Oh did I mention they play kickass music and the bathroom was clean. That’s hard to find in public places. Loved my experience overall.

I went here since it was new to the emporium and I was interested by the idea of a grilled cheese restaurant. As I walked in I noticed the enviorment was very colorful and happy. I felt welcomed and the music selection was the standard radio station songs you hear on your commute. As I looked at the selection before ordering, I noticed that they had 12 different kinds of grilled cheese sandwiches and two different kinds of soup. Not bad for a grilled cheese place. I ordered the white trash since I curious about the mac and cheese in the sandwich. It was 5.95, which I thought was a little pricey but the picture looked like the sandwich would be stuffed with mac and cheese, so I ordered it. It was sadly not as stuffed as I had hoped it would be but when I tried it I was not dissapointed. It tasted great and all the ingredients worked well together. But I was still not quite satisfied when I finished my sandwich and was sad that I just spent 6 and change on a small sandwich and that’s only the sandwich, a combo would be at the very least 2.15 more. I could of ordered something else from some of the other places in the emporium for about the same price if not less. Overall it tasted great but Umelt should consider the demographic they are selling to, which are college students, and possible try adding a bit more to their sandwiches so customers could be filled for the prices they ask.

So far the best afternoon tea place ever. There’s so many choice in U-​Melt you can get your stomach half or totally full depending on what you’ve ordered.
#10 White Trash is my daily favorite, it got roast pork, Mac’N’Chess and and special BBQ sauce. Don’t be fooled by the name, along side with Combo B (soup+drink) it can be a full lunch and will keep you full till dinner.
It’s kinda addictive and trust me, you will not regret on spending money on sandwich with such high quality and the taste will definitely get into your mind.

I love grilled cheese, it just screams home cooking to me. These aren’t just your average bread and cheese grilled cheeses, they offer a wide variety of fillers (tomato, bacon, pesto, ham, mac and cheese! — yes mac and cheese in a grilled cheese).
I’ve tried at least 3 different varieties and have loved each one. Most recently i tried the grilled cheese with avocado. Definitely an interesting combo, I loved the cheese with the savory flavor of the avocado.
You can also get your sandwich with a side, i highly recommend the macaroni and cheese. Again, remeniscent of home cooking. Prices are fair and you definitely get your moneys worth.

Love this place! Gourmet grilled cheese at bargain prices. Grab a combo meal and add some tomato soup or mac and cheese to you plate. Love the 3 cheese for a meal but my FAVORITE is the Nutella and Honey Bananas… YUM. Even though its located near URI this is a great place to feed the kids high quality food on the go.

This is a very welcome addition to the food scene in town. We tried this the other night, getting 3 different sandwiches. They were all really good, with my favorite being the Cubano.
The sandwiches were all good sized, and it was clear that they use good quality cheeses and ingredients. I don’t know what it’s like to eat there, as we got take-​out, and I am sure we’ll be going whenever the melty cheesy craving hits.

I had a chance on checking out this new spot during their open house. Clean, quick and delicious! My fan favorite is the «White Trash,» a mac ‘n’ cheese and bbq pulled pork assault on my taste buds. Sorry, I know that’s kind of over the top but it is frickin’ fantastic! My fiancée and I split both our grilled cheese sandwiches and it was very hard to share the other half of my white trash but I certainly wasn’t disappointed by the Tomato Basil. A lighter fare option to heavier (but not in a bad way) White Trash. Paired with a bowl of their Tomato Bisque, I imagine that it would be the perfect combo for a super cold day to fill the belly.
