Ability Tree Experts

Based on the phone call just to get some pricing I am SHOCKED they are even in business or are able to procure ANY business at all. After speaking with the woman that sounded bothered and getting through the details I just ended the call. Now I go to Unilocal and see they have 5 total reviews not counting mine and they are all 1 star. How utterly sad and tragic. They need to reevaluate their attitude and try again.

If I could give zero stars I would. I was given a timeframe between 11 – 1 for someone to call and show up. At 1:05 I called and asked where they were. I was told they had other appointments and would call thirty minutes before coming. I received a call at 1:25 that they were on their way. Louis showed up at approximately 2:35. His price for taking down two pine trees was almost triple what three other companies had quoted and didn’t include stump grinding, which was going to require a different person and a different quote. When asked why so high, he said he carries a lot of insurance and he was not some «tree truck» company and that he was one of the top in Houston. When I asked for advice about new trees I was told I could get what I wanted and had to see someone else at a tree farm for that. He mentioned my trees were unhealthy so I asked for more information about it and was told «why, you said you were cutting them down». Seriously! I was asking questions and he was very condescending and arrogant. He finally gave in and gave me a little information. With no regard for the customer’s time and an arrogant attitude, he was very happy to take my $ 25. I hope he’s happy with that amount of money because that’s all he’s getting from me. I just contracted with another company who talked to me longer on the phone than Louis did in person. I got more information and I didn’t get charged for it! This company planted seven new trees in my area just yesterday and comes highly recommended from several neighbors. Word of advice, don’t get your service need recommendations from a radio station like we did. Those guys are getting paid to advertise and have no knowledge of what the company really does. Get personal references. Ability Trees certainly won’t be getting one from me!

Do not use this company. We had them give us an estimate to remove one large tree and 2 ornamental trees and they wanted 3 times what Trees Unlimited estimated. In addition, they charged $ 25 for the privilege of giving us such an outrageous estimate. There are plenty of reputable tree removal companies in Houston who don’t try to rob their customers like this company does.

Louis may be an expert but the guys he sent out were no experts. Besides being arrogant, he said he’d come back to check what his men had done nut never came back. Worst service I have gotten from any tree servicing company besides being more expensive than others. They ruined my two young live oaks, don’t let them get to your trees. Tony
