After dark this place goes to shit. It’s ran by a bunch of high school and college kids who don’t give a rats ass. One night I came and bough over 200 dollars worth of food and they only had self check out. It took me 35 mins to check out if I hadn’t spent an hour shopping I would have left my cart. This last time I was trying to return something and Hannah or holly kept walking around and thew the return on a girl who was new. Talk about lack of professionalism get it together Kroger. Also most of the times I come here they make you bag your groceries yourself, and tonight there were 4 guys standing there talking while one checked me out no other lanes were open and a line full of people. Talk about shitty customer service. I can’t wait till the new HEB opens I’ll be going there from now on.

Love this store! It has everything really! I don’t know why you would need to go anywhere else. Its clean and all the staff is helpful. And unlike other places there are always plenty of check out limes open, that is important to me.

My mother ordered a cake here for her wedding. She ordered two plain round cakes, no decoration, two plain one 8 inch and one smaller cake. Not that hard right? Went to pick up the cakes and the lady behind the counter starts icing a marble and chocolate cake. Told her we ordered white cake, then proceeds to tell us they were out of white cake. Ordered several days before. No one called! Why would you not call and tell us. They made the smaller top tier. No bottom. Tried to push a chocolate sheet cake off on us and acted offended when we wouldn’t take that or the smaller tier they made. Tried to order a cake from several other places but of course couldn’t do one in such a short notice. This was for a wedding! Beyond upset about it ended up having to make a cake. Will not be ordering anything from here ever again completely unprofessional. If I could choose zero stars I would.

Wow. This is a super nice store. I shopped here on their grand opening day and many times since. Employees are friendly and helpful. Great selection! I even found bulgar at a good price. Every visit is an adventure.

Well, this is a darned nice store. Of course, it’s brand new, but it’s a darned nice store. With amenities including a Starbucks, a jeweler, and a fine cheese offering, I will likely be shopping here, if only to get my mozzarella di bufala. YaY fine cheese. There are also some very high quality produce items on the offing, although with rather stellar price points, I see them becoming wizened compost in the near future. A shame that. There is a sushi station with folks humming along making maki at break neck speed and a prepared food station that seemed very popular at lunch time. The rest of the store is cavernous and more than a gal can peruse in a lunch break. In all, I’m very impressed with the selection I saw. This higher end store is a much appreciated amenity in an area of Kingwood where the shopping was not very good. I think the store will do well but am wondering how much of the higher end groceries will be on the shelves after the new wears off.

DRUMROLLPLEAAASSSSEEEEE… Ladies and gents, the Kingwood area is proud to present the brand new Kroger with GASSTATION~ If you’re not from Kingwood, you are probably thinking, «So what? Big deal. I have one of those down the street from me!» Well, sassy britches, Kingwood has long awaited the coming of this very grocer. You’ve been able to redeem your Kroger points for fuel savings for a hot minute, but us Kingwoodites have to travel to Atascocita if we so feel to redeem ours. If anyone remembers the opening of the HEB in Atascocita, I would say that this is a similar experience. It is very exciting to have a store that has those quirky add ons,(sushi rolling station, salad bar, Starbucks, Fred Meyers jewelers and WHHAAAA an entire furniture department). My favorite parts: I can still get the clearance meat that I love Kroger for, they have an extended health foods section, a great toy selection at reasonable prices and the beer. THEBEER! They have an intense selection of local and craft beers that make this little lady oh so very happy because this place is less than 2 minutes from my home. Suck it Specs, I’m hittin’ up the Kroger. They are obviously overstaffed now with it being the grand opening but they have heards of little blue vesties running about. Very sweet kids and speedy service, for now.
