La Petite Academy

My wife and I moved from Fort Worth, TX to Kingwood with our daughter who was just over a year old. My wife decided to go back to work and we basically had to choose the «best stranger» to watch our only child. Well we chose well choosing Mrs. JoAnne the Director. She is the difference maker compared to neighboring schools. She has created a culture of learning and safety. She puts her all in the school and my daughter lover her, Ms. K, Ms. Renisha, and Ms. Alma. Their will be turnover, but those named above are anchors and set the culture. It was tough to leave them since I have taken a new role in Chicago. My daughters progression through 3.5 years old has others thinking she is 5. They have set the standard! They were a blessing to us and our family. There are schools with nicer toys, and other things, but you can’t beat people.

La Petite has a competitive edge, and it is their director. There are nicer looking schools with more updated bells and whistles, but people make the difference. Our daughter started la petite at 13 months. Now she is is almost 4 and can write all of her letters, recites her colors in Spanish, counts in Spanish and has a healthy image and vocabulary all because of this school. They have a core group of teacher s who stay and there will be heavy turnover, but the culture remains the same. I am taking a job in Chicago and we are not originally from Houston, so I can say with confidence that moving my daughter from this school is the toughest thing about this move for our family. Wonderful people with a REAL and RESPONSIBLE curriculum with a genuine love for children.

Love this place! I wouldn’t send my daughter anywhere else. The directors and teachers are awesome and truly care about the kids. They educate the kids. It’s not baby-​sitting.

After pulling my son out of a daycare with a not so loving environment, I have been very pleased with the staff at La Petite. My son is 6 & has been very happy at La Petite since we’ve started. He loves that there is a large outdoor play area where he can run & let loose after school.
I started my daughter here at the sweet age of 8 weeks, they give me daily reports on her & help ease the stress I get with dropping my kiddos off. The staff has been wonderful with our transition & Ms Joanne calmed my nerves with putting my newborn baby girl in daycare!
