I have been seeing Shana for over two years. At least once a month, someone not only compliments my hair but asks to take pictures! She’s really fantastic and everyone who works there is very kind and competent. I love getting text and email reminders about my appointments. I would never consider going anywhere else!

Do not get Sarah! I got her and she was always checking her watch and not paying attention to my needs. She was not knowledgable about hair. I tried to ask her opinion on bangs and she kept saying«whatever you want its your hair» VERYRUDE. When I finally took the plunge and said to get straight across bangs, she cut them way TOO short because she was in a hurry. Would not recommend her to ANYONE. Ask for someone else!

I’ve had the same stylist for over 10 years. I love my girl but after a slight mishap and the fact I want a more vegan friendly salon I tried this place out! Shanna(hope I am spelling that right) gave me the most perfect haircut! Probably the best of my life! The only thing I had an issue with is finding out there was a first time cut coupon on their website. Wish they would have told me about that! Other than that I love it! I can’t wait to try more of the spa features out!

Admittedly, I’ve been cutting my hair myself for years now. I’ve always had it long and decided to chop it off today. I Unilocaled area salons and chose the Conservatory based upon reviews alone. They were able to schedule me same day and Sarah gave me a great cut along with excellent styling tips for my new do and thinning hair. The place is very nice, clean and well decorated. They offer tons of great products but they weren’t pushy. My basic haircut was $ 50(before tip) but not sure how that price compares to other places. I will be back to have Sarah take care of my hair again. Highly recommend!

I am new to the area and was unsure where to get a haircut. I took an advantage of a free haircut offer for new customers, and I am very satisfied. I was booked with Sarah. She is stylish and very nice, and she made me feel comfortable. I went from long hair to a short bob. I brought some photos with me to better describe what I wanted, and she cut it just like in the photos. I will definitely look no further, I am going back for my next haircut and color!

I would definitely recommend Billie for your coloring, highlights and style needs. Billie is a great listener, very professional and utterly poised and gentle. My hair turned out amazingly today after a long haul of growing it out and transitioning the color. I’d recommend her to anyone with confidence!

I went for my second hair cut, unfortunately the quality was nowhere near my first. I would expect this from a $ 10 haircut(which is why I pay significantly more), but certain not a salon in this price range. The way too blunt layers in my barely shoulder length hair are well over an inch different in length from the right to the left side, and I cannot wear my hair down because it is so uneven. This was after I requested a cut that I could easily style to wear down… At first I thought it was just the styling– I gave it a week and couldn’t figure out a way to fix it so that it was wearable. After this, I was out of town for nearly two weeks. At first I was just going to write the salon off, but their customer service was excellent and I hate trying to find new places. I decided to see what their policy was, and try to give them a second chance. While I was out of town, I tried calling, but it was after hours and there was no way to leave a message. I attempted to contact them through Unilocal, but didn’t get a response. When I finally contacted them during business hours I was told that their policy was that there was nothing that they could do unless I had called within a week of the appointment. They were very polite– no complaints there. For this reason I left 2 stars instead of 1. I will not be going back– The cut was awful, and unfortunately I’m not willing to risk it again. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I understand that I called about three weeks after the cut, and they need to draw the line somewhere, but in this case it cost them what would have been a loyal customer. Very disappointed.

Time to update the salon review and the star rating. 5 Stars. I have been getting my hair cut here for about a year and have always been happy with the services provided by my stylist as well as the desk staff. My stylist always talks things over with me, listens to my worries, since I have thin hair and works to make sure the cut I get is exactly what I want. The folks at the front desk are so lovely and helpful. They definitely contribute to the overall harmony of the environment. The whole salon is very nicely decorated. There are several fountains in the facility. Their sounds help soothe the tired and stressed. The furnishings are lovely and comfy as well. The Salon is pretty simply, but elegant. The washing area is quiet and has muted lighting, a nice touch. The spa area where people wait for mani/pedi and massage are very tranquil and comfy. I enjoyed the mani I got there. Service is the name of the game here, I must say. I especially like that I get reminder emails and/or text messages. I am kind of horrible about remembering my appointments, so this is exactly what I need. If you want pampering, friendly and helpful people and talented staff, this is the salon for you to go to. You will pay a premium for your services, but you will definitely get your money’s worth.

Worst pedicure(Carmella) and massage EVER(Kim). Pedicure– there is dead skin near all of my toes and my big toenails were clipped and filed unevenly. Massage– would have been great for someone with brittle bones however in spite of asking twice for harder pressure, it felt like someone was swirling oil into my skin rather than a massage. Spa itself is beautiful.

I was in town for a funeral and needed to get my hair colored and cut asap! I read reviews and have had great experiences with Aveda salons when out of town. Went to The Conservatory & had Shanna do my hair. She was the best. I also had a massage by Kim, who was so good. It was the 1st time I have started out a massage with a foot soak. She also massaged my stuffy sinuses, which was also a 1st but really great. This is a great place.

I’ve been going to the conservatory day spa and salon for two years so I figure it’s time to Unilocal them. My review is focused on the spa services that I have received. I’ve been using their spa services for eyebrow waxes(or are you just supposed to think my eyebrows are naturally this perfect?) and facials for 2 years. Over that time I’ve been through 3 different employees, but that is only because the first two left for personal reasons. Each one of them had me coming back to them because their technique was so good. I was sad when each of them left. Currently Oki is doing my facials and eyebrow waxes and I would recommend her to even the most perfectionist of people. The facials are very relaxing and I’ve liked her product suggestions. My only issue is that there is a room above the spa rooms that can sometimes be annoying if people are up there. It would have been better to have that room(which clearly has hard wood floors) over rooms other than the spa rooms. It’s not always an issue and compared to other places this is pretty quiet. I’ve only had a spa manicure/pedicure recently and I have no complaints. We had the room all to ourselves. It was quiet and relaxing and the woman did a good job — I wish I could remember her name. They have a nice set-up so that two people(maybe 3) could have a manicure/pedicure session together. Good for girls spa day(or boys too — they don’t judge). The women at the front desk have always been friendly. I only wish they were open later at night(at least a few days a week). I always have to make appointments for Saturdays because I can’t get there by the time they close on weekdays. The prices are not inexpensive, but this is an Aveda concept salon and no one should expect prices to be cheap. The salon services are reasonable, it’s the products that will cost you but I’ve never felt pressured to buy any of them(although their skin care products are all I use because the high price is worth their performance).

I live in Austin and visit Kingwood quite frequently and each time I visit, I make it a point to go to The Conservatory for a retreat! The Conservatory always has top talent which is comforting for someone like me who needs to get it quickly and looking great each time. Overall, the place is incredible and ultra soothing. I thoroughly enjoy their relaxing room and shower facilities for when I’m driving back to Austin. I highly recommend for anyone living or visiting the area!

If you care about yourself at all, then The Conservatory is and will be the only place that will give you the respect you deserve. From start to finish I realized what true customer service was. I went in my first time and got to choose who I wanted to cut my hair and went on an experience I didn’t know could be done while getting my hair cut. Now coming from a guys point of view I have to say is that it doesn’t get any better than this. From the head massage to the wash to the exact way I choose to have my hair. It’s more than I ever expected to come from a salon. I also want to say how all the associates are so welcoming when I come in and to all their other clients while I am there. No one gets over looked and I have to say how amazing that is. Keep it up and thanks again ! ! JY Kingwood, TX/

these people deserve a reward for doing my hair with a straight face for like 10 years. although their main clientele are definitely of the soccer mom persuasion, various stylists have chopped and spiked my hair in a plethora of colors with little to no abhorrence. before moving to their fancy new building, this guy named michael used to cut my hair. he was amazing. one day, however, he got quietly replaced/fired/something, and this random chick had to cut my hair. you know joan jett? yeah. my hair looked like joan jett’s. and i had an interview the next day. i cried for like a week. eventually, i found shanna– who is crazy amazing. she is super pretty and i love her hardcore. she cut my hair for years and years until i moved for school, but my mom and sister still make appointments with her. since leaving texas, ive bopped around a couple salons and NONE have been able to compare in the level of professionalism that this one has. ive tried out an epic ton of paul mitchell«focus salons” — and while they are a little more scene, their stylists are, more times than not, evil. no matter what aveda salon you go to, they are still going to put that crazy smelling goober in your hair at the end– but you know what? its worth the sacrifice. id rather leave smelling like a yuppie grandmother than having a horrendous haircut that is going to follow me months afterword. even as an aveda salon, the conservatory is loads better than any other aveda-branded place ive been to. i recently checked out one of the«super fancy» avedas up here in boulder(colorado), and it was pitiful. they washed your hair behind a curtain in the middle of a cement room. it made me sad. i havnt had my hair cut since august because im scared of getting it butchered again my some paul mitchell punk, and we dont even have any«good» mall places up here. i weep bitterly.
