Loud, loud and loud… lots of big screens but a massive echo chamber. Service is inconsistent along with kitchen orders. Parking was not well planned out for patron ratio. This place has potential… hope things improve.

The«Porky» burger was okay, I loved how they peppered their fries. The waiter, though, seemed like she had the iq of a door. She made countless mistakes, but she had a great attitude. Overall it was a bit overpriced, and seemed forgettable having nothing particularly special. Go here if you love a loud atmosphere with sports everywhere you look. lf you’re actually looking for good food, drinks, and service, look elsewhere.

Yes they have different draft beer selections. But I was expecting more. Yes I’m a beer snob. I was wanting a variety of IPA’s and craft beers. They were limited. Kinda pricey when you order the tall beers. But I did find that if I order the flights. I could get a lot better price. Food was good. Wings were great. Been there twice on there were family’s there with younger kids. Maybe cause it was around early hours. I just don’t like my drinking places to have kids running around. I may try again in the evening times.

Bartender(owner? manager?) was friendly and talkative. House made salsa was super fresh and burgers were juicy! Pretty good pitcher specials! Obviously, since it IS a sports bar, there are an ample amount of screens. Will definitely take advantage of those for March Madness!

When I was telling my friends/family that I was going to be eating at The Draft in Kingwood, they all told me, «good luck with that.» Well, actually, The Draft wasn’t too bad — in fact, it was… good? My team had an offsite meeting at the Courtyard Marriott, and rather than opting for the hotel catering, we popped by The Draft for lunch, which is literally right in front of the hotel. If you’re coming to The Draft, make sure you park in the lot in front of the bar — apparently the Courtyard is pretty aggressive on towing(why, I have no idea because this isn’t exactly the hottest spot in Kingwood). The space itself isn’t very big, but there are TVs lining the entire restaurant and a pretty decent draft selection. Even though we kind of dropped in unplanned 16 strong, the staff was pretty good at making sure we had everything we needed. I ordered the Southern Chicken Salad and BLT Avocado Taco off the lunch menu — the taco was ok(it’s like a pricier knockoff version of Torchy’s fried avocado taco), but I was pleasantly surprised by the salad — a big salad for $ 6 with no crappy iceberg and a generous helping of chicken? It was actually a salad I enjoyed eating, which is no easy feat. Although I would never see myself specifically coming to The Draft in the near future(I live in the loop and rarely find myself this far north anymore), I’m glad we ate here instead of getting fast food or standard hotel catering. If you work in the Kingwood area, though, it’s a(surprisingly!) decent option for lunch.

Nice craft beer selection for this area but giving my beer to me in a frozen mug killed it.

When I travel for work, I always like to find a place that I can relax and de-stress evenings in that stretch of time when work is done but I have no desire to sit in a hotel room. For my trip to Kingwood, The Draft served this purpose, but turned out to be so much better than just that. I arrived in Kingwood just before the Super Bowl started. As I had no access to a car, I was glad to find The Draft right outside my hotel. I wandered in to find it fairly crowded(with Denver fans… which although I live in South Carolina, I’m not a devoted fan by any means), but got a seat at the bar. The friendly crowd started talking to me right away. I hadn’t heard of many of the beers tap, so I worked my way through a handful I’d never had before. As I was leaving, the server told me about Wednesday night«tap takeovers». So I was intrigued. I returned Wednesday and got the whole story from a patron who lives nearby. Wednesday nights, they have local Houston area breweries provide a handful of beers on tap, and offer them until the kegs run out. When they’re gone, they’re gone. With all the breweries springing up in the Houston area, this all but guarantees you’ll find something new every time you stop by, which I love. The food is bar food… wings, burgers, and chili cheese fries(as an entrée?)…but you’re there for the beer, after all :)

Love our new neighborhood pub!!! The bartenders, waiters/waitresses, & manager are so friendly! The food is absolutely the best bar food ever! From fried pickles, garlic/parmesan chicken wings, & the kale salad.

This sports bar is weak. The bartenders are rude and the food is nothing special. I will stick with Molly’s Pub until something better comes along. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

This place is okay. I like the selection of the beer on tap and the tvs everywhere for watching the game. Parking is an issue, as there is hardly any. The menu is a true bar menu, in that everything is fried or loaded with cheese. We had the fried pickles, late night, and they were just okay. If I were them I’d switch to spears, they’re better and not offered around here. It’s a much better option for a game than Brewingz just down the road, as that place if pretty awful, IMO. We sat at the bar and the service was pretty good as it wasn’t crowded. However I didn’t notice much service at all to the tables and I doubt its better during a game rush. I’d like to see some better options in food and the food they do have done a bit better, plus a more visible staff on the floor and I think they could do very well here. A+ for no smoking inside, though!

I’ve been wanting to try The Draft for a while, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn’t sure what to think. I’ve lived in Kingwood for five years and when going to a sports bar, my options have been limited to Molly’s or Coaches. The Draft is not as big as either of those but it has some advantages. The entire bar is surrounded by TVs and you can see every one. There is no smoking inside like Coaches. They have a decent selection of draft beers and the servers were very nice. They even gave us a free beer because of a mispour. It was late so we only ordered an appetizer(fried pickles). They were good but had more breaking than pickles. The one thing I look for in a good sports bar is dart boards and unfortunately they only have plastic electronic boards. I’m a steel tip snob, but other than that I’d recommend stopping in for a drink and catching a game.

Nice beer selection but the food could use some help. The onion rings are great. The wings on the other hand are not worth the price of $ 1.00 each. I’ve had way better. Our order of 10 included an exposed bone with a piece of meat on the end and another that had broken bones inside. They were most likely the lowest grade available. When you are a new business you might consider the first impression of each customer. It would also be helpful to see the presence of a manager to greet customers and ask how everything is at least during the busy times, maybe even to help the only bartender at 6 pm. Parking may also be a hindrance if you are considering watching a game at this location.

This place is new. A typical bar. It’s very clean. We went to watch a pre-season football game. I love that they have lots of TV’s. No matter where you sit you have a great view of a TV. The service was good. There is nothing special about the food we had. We had wings, chili cheese fries and boudin balls. Just basic bar food. They have a wide variety of beer on tap and bottled. That’s nice. They also have a full bar. The parking lot is shared with a gas station, in front of a hotel. I think later that will cause a problem if the get busy. Because they are in a dry county that charge an additional tax on drinks. The staff also is on different pages. One guy said every TV will be on the game and the one we were watching will be turned on last. Then another guy came over and turn 2 of the TV’s we were watching then walked away. He didn’t even put it on the football game. It would’ve been nice to ask if we were watching them because we were.

Awesome place. Went tonight for the first time. Service was quick and very helpful. They offered a sample of the beer before you committed to one. Food was great. Beer list is very long. Will definitely be coming back.

Went last night with a large group and I gotta say we all had a great time. Our server, Coleman, was fantastic — he took our food and drink orders and kept up with us the entire 4 hours we were there. Everything was very tasty(we ordered burgers, chicken strips, quesadillas, fries, etc) and they had a wide selection of beverages from beer to wine to mixed drinks as well. You could tell that this place is new and still getting the swing of things. Their menus were paper and the overall atmosphere was still pretty bare, not a lot of decoration, however they had 20+ TVs and a bunch of seating so i’m sure once word spreads this place will become packed and it will be a very fun and entertaining place to grab a drink with friends. Overall our experience was a delight and we will definitely be back!

I am huge fan of this place… is it perfect? No… but I can see myself being here a lot especially during football season! As soon as you walk in you feel welcomed with all the staff. The décor is nice and new and there are 31 yes…31TV’s!!! They have low and high top tables and the bar to sit and enjoy your drinks and food. All the staff seemed to get a long and the fact that everything in the bathroom was no touch was huge points for me. They have a lot of different beers on tap and are priced well. The liquor shelf looked stocked with good quality vodkas and whiskeys. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was some of the food :( The fried pickles had a thick coating and were super greasy. Maybe they could switch to a lighter batter so you get more of the pickle flavor. I really enjoyed my wings but the burger was just a burger. I was hoping the menu would be a little more funkier. more creative… maybe some candied or jalepeno bacon or crazy concoction of food items… idk…maybe I am asking too much but all in all I am fan and will be back over and over and over!

What? A sports bar in Kingwood? Ok, so there’s Molly’s. But it’s old and dark and it’s a high school reunion everytime you walk in. We were so happy about hearing this place was opening up! Owned by kingwood locals. There TV’s galore, high tops, low tops, good amount of bat seats and of course games like Big Buck Hunter and Golden Tee. It’s a good size place with a ton of beers on tap. The bartender was friendly and happy to be there, we ordered a beer and some chips and salsa. Other patrons were having food and they all were very happy with it. I would imagine when football season starts this place will be a zoo. Is it too early to suggest that you should plan to get there early? Maybe, but it’s about time people and Kingwood had a decent place other than Molly’s or having to drive across the bridge to watch the game! Will be back for sure!

This is a great place to have a beer and watch a game. The Draft is very spacious with plenty of tables, a crazy long bar(40′ or so) and big screen TVs all over the place. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They have many great beers on tap as well as a wide selection of domestics and imports in bottles. if you come with an appetite, or develop one after enjoying a few of their 22 oz. cold mugs of beer, The Draft has a food menu that can satisfy anyone. I would suggest starting out with an order of their homemade chicharrons along with their homemade salsa. I also find their Frito pie which is topped with pulled pork, to be quite tasty as well. My wife and I really enjoy this place. They will certainly be getting plenty of our business.
