3.5 mile«loop» on the white trail starts at the parking lot and ends nearby at the lake and pavilion. No hunting allowed, so it’s safe. There was only one person with a dog, and that was only at the beginning of the trail, probably because it has many rocky portions later on. Not much to see in the overlook until later in the Fall when the trees lose some of their foliage. But every forest is a piece of heaven, so enjoy!

Nice picnic facilities including a covered pavilion. Lake with good fishing and trails suitable for family nature walks, or rugged hiking. Most of the trails in the main section are wide woods roads and easy walking, but some of the newer trails in the southern section make for a nice hike with great views. If you want a place for a family picnic, this is a nice choice. Great dog walking park and for serious hikers the new trails are quite nice.
