If I could give this place a 0 I would. Service is almost non existent, don’t go here if you want good service or any service. My recommendation don’t go at all

Extremely slow. It took forever for them to seat us. Then it took forever for our food to come out. It just wasn’t a pleasant experience.

Been here before about a year ago, and it’s nothing like that this time. I will definitely not happy about today’s visit.
The hostess that was not even greeting customers and ignoring customers. Did not do a good job on cleaning up tables in timely fashion (the restaurant is not even busy at that time).
It takes a longggg time to get a server to get us the drinks. And the server is not being trained properly. He cannot even answer us a question at all.
Food is just so-​so, nothing special or taste extraordinary. But food is not as good as before I have been here.
Seems like this Applebee’s store needs a better management skills with better training on employees handling the customer services.

After years of hoping this establishment would be able to deliver quality customer service, they seem to have finally gotten it right. I didn’t expect 5 star food as its not a 5 star restaurant. But they have exceeded my expectations over my past few trips. Something has changed over the years about this place and it’s not as hit and miss as its been in the past. I’m not the one for lengthy reviews, (or many reviews at all for that matter) but I’m glad this place has shown improvement since I’ve moved back home about a month ago. As I’m a night owl, and with Applebee’s being one of the few establishments within the county that remain open past 11pm, they’re getting the job done.

The service staff is professional. All the cooks need to be fired and management needs to start from scratch.

Our waitress was very professional but the food was sub par. Steak was an odd gray purple color and overcooked. Sauteed mushrooms and onions were pretty much raw. The chips that came with the appetizer were greasy and stale and the spinach artichoke cheese dip was gross.

Sadly, I get home late enough that most restaurants are closed and this is the only real option left that isn’t over a half an hour from home. So, when I don’t want a pb&j I’ll head over to the neighborhood Crapplebee’s. Be careful of your server, some are so terrible it’s better to just go outside and eat gravel. A couple actually know what they’re doing. I can only remember one but Kaitlyn is a good one, otherwise, so is the crazy guy and the tall chick with the short poofy pony tail… That helps, right? The food is okay, nothing to write home about. Half price apps late so that’s a plus, if they remember to give you the discount. I was recently excited to see a couple staff members had been replaced, but it was false hope, and only worse. Major plus, the large lady that used to rest her gut and boobs on the register and counter at the bar has been gone a while, so at least you won’t have random condiments chunked at you from the other side by a lazy bar tender.

I ordered the three cheese mac & cheese with chicken tender with a honey pepper sauce. The sauce really made this dish as it gave a new flavor to the mac & cheese. Nice plate presentation and taste.
Staff service was less than ideal. Once seated it took an unusually long time for the server (also serving as the bartender) to come over to take my order. My food and beverage refill were brought to the table by the manager, who commented that the bartender was training others on new drinks. Personally I didn’t care who was bringing me food and drink as long as I was being served.

Ordered the 7oz. Steak for two. My wife substituted beans for the broccoli.
Ordered hot wings for appitizer. The hot wings were the worst I have ever eaten. They had a strange pungent taste. Celery was dirty– had not been washed. Steak was ok, not great. The hot wings gave me the worst case of heartburn that I have had in years. I was up until midnight taking antacids.
They added $ 2 to my bill to substitute the vegetables.

This has to be one of the worst dining experiences ever. My family wanted to go out for dinner after a stressful day. I wanted a cocktail and with limited choices in kinston we decided to go here. Our waiter was really bad. He took forever to get our food. Left our appetizer off and we finally got it at the very end. Then he double charged us for everything. My mojitto tasted like cough syrup. The food was just ok. If you can find another place to eat do it. Don’t go here!
