I will have to say that I was impressed. Me and my husband went there on New Years Day and got breakfast. Yes the biscuits were a little thick but everything is made from scratch. Good home cooking. Love the penny floor and the store inside. Will definitely go back.

I wanted to love it. It’s such a cute spot and Kinston needs a cute place to get yummy breakfast! The food, however, was significantly lacking. My eggs were wayyyy overcooked, the potatoes were scorched, my bacon was black, and my husband’s biscuits *and gravy* were so doughy he barely ate them. He is Mr. Positive and has tried every version of biscuits and gravy that he can get his hands on… So he was super disappointed. We asked what kind of muffins they had *its a menu item* and our waitress acted like we were idiots for asking! We were told they did not have muffins?! Their lunch menu sounded tasty, but I’m not even sure it would be worth the shot with Queen St Deli, The Boiler Room, and Olvera St RIGHT there. I hope our experience was just a fluke and they were maybe having a bad Monday?

Breakfast and lunch joint with a store full of sauces and such. Still a bit under construction but well worth it for lunch. They’re promoting themselves very well and the décor adds to the experience. Could do with some variety to their menus such as a chicken sandwich but I assume that will come in time. Vegan options available.

Amazing little place with charm. Still has a sit up bar. The floor is all pennies! Delicious food! And inviting people that work here.

Very cute café with wifi in downtown Kinston! The staff were absolutely fantastic, so warm and welcoming. The establishment is a renovated lunch counter with a great modern vibe with a touch of historical charm. I stopped in this morning for breakfast and I must say I was a fan $ 4 for eggs, bacon, toast, and grits!!! I know things are typically cheaper out here in Kinston, but even for this area that is a total steal. They also had some killer looking desserts and a whole little shop area with locally sourced gourmet products like pepper jelly, sweet potato butter, and bbq sauce. Next time I’m going to have to get lunch and a delicious mini apple pie :).
