Jay Stanton, the owner of All American Waterproofing, LLC was hired to waterproof the concrete foundation walls of our new home under construction. After receiving an inspection report from an ICC inspector that specifically addressed the improper waterproofing of our foundation walls, I requested Rick Bostrom, a representative for the Tuff-N-Dri waterproofing spray company to come to our house and inspect Mr. Stanton’s work. Mr. Bostrom found that Mr. Stanton, 1. failed to wait the required 24 hours before applying the protective board(Delta Drain) against the Tuff-N-Dri(spray-on emulation), 2. failed to apply the Tuff-N-Dri spray at the required 60 ml thickness(it was less than 5 ml at the top), 3. used another company’s protective board(Delta Drain) over the Tuff-N-Dri spray which voided the 30-year warranty, and 4. failed to place a protective strip across the entire top edge of the Delta Drain protective board to keep out dirt and debris from gaining access between the protective board and foundation walls. Instead of taking responsibility for his mistakes, Mr. Stanton argued and yelled some obscenities before walking away in disgust. Prior to his exit, he claimed that his application methods were far better than those of the product manufacturers. But instead of providing a 30-warranty from the product manufacturers, he gave us a worthless 10-year warranty with numerous disclaimers.
