Very upset on today’s service. We made reservations for father’s day and after 20 – 30 mins of waiting on top of our reservation time, we got informed that our seats are upstairs??? The people upstairs don’t even have us on their list to be seated up there. Then they sat us on the singles table bar strip towards the window. Is this how you seat couples when they make the time to make reservations? We’ve been going here for years. The service has been going down. I’m saying about the hostess. Thank you for losing us from coming there. These always other places to eat and other Anthony’s.

Came here today(Fathers day) to have some appetizers and watch game 7 with my dad(go warriors) and was actually appalled by how I was greeted. I went to sit down at the bar too upstairs while my dad parked the car when an older woman walks up behind the bar and says«can I see some id» no «hi» or «how’s it going» just immediately assuming I’m not 21? I’m almost 30 and understand i.d.s still have to be checked but she was rude. I then hand her my passport when she holds it back to me and says I need«actual id» ummmmmmmm excuse me but isn’t a passport one of the most valid forms of identification in the entire world?! I explain that it’s my passport, which in turn she rolls her eyes and says she has to talk to her manager. What?! It’s a passport… I was so confused and tried to explain again when she rudely cuts me off mid sentence(more than once). Her manager finally comes barely glances at my passport and says ya she’s good. All of that for nothing?! But the horrible service continued. I had to ask for waters, bread, silverware. On top of that, When my dad finally shows up she completely changes her tune and is on her«oh hey sweetie what can I get you» like uh excuse me?! I ordered a Cesar and and some salmon dish. The salmon was okay, tasted pretty fresh but a little bland. But the Caesar was HORRIBLE. The lettuce was old and the dressing was awful. Tasted like spiced/lemon/mayo. I feel sad that I had such a negative experience because I love the location.

Had the best meal last night! Between the hand made cocktails fresh with Schuh Farms local strawberries and Copper River salmon Poke, the excellent wine with Idaho Rainbow Trout then finished with Strawberry shortcake. All was prepared to perfection and severed with cheerful expertise by our waiter, Arie. Oh my, we been coming here for literally decades and it’s still fantastic. The view can’t be beat either. Kudos Anthony’s team!

It’s the view. No matter what the weather is like in Seattle, you will have a beautiful view of Lake Washington from almost any seat in the restaurant. I love sitting in the bar upstairs best.

As Summer is fast approaching, the sun is beginning to shine outside. Anthony’s HomePort is a great date spot to have lunch or dinner because there is a great view of the water. You can call in to make a reservation and I also highly recommend asking for seating by the window for the view of the water. It’s stunning during sunset and just beautiful when the sun makes the water glisten. There is a menu that changes with the fresh catches that Anthony’s has for the day so the menu always has something different. Dinner started with some mussels as well as the char grilled shrimp. There are plenty of mussels, all in different sizes and types. It comes in a luscious, but not overpowering sauce. I appreciate the metal bowl they have sitting on top of the mussels as it keeps the mussels warm and gives you a place to put the shells once you’re done eating them. There were four large pieces of shrimp that were very plump. I found these to be slightly on the saltier side but they tasted fresh. For the main entrée I chose salmon. It came with asparagus as well as mashed potatoes. These mashed potatoes were pretty thick but were so good! I haven’t had good mashed potatoes in a while so it was a pleasant surprise. Thick, but still creamy and quite aromatic. The salmon itself was fresh, although it wasn’t the most phenomenal salmon that I have had. I like my salmon pretty simple, but I think it could have used a bit more seasoning. Service was splendid. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and extremely amiable. He made sure that our experience was top notch. Since Anthony’s is so close to downtown Kirkland where all the shops are, you may find it difficult to find parking. Thankfully, Anthony’s has their own parking garage that you can park in. You can keep your car parked here and go to the docks to check out the view and go for a small stroll afterwards! Seafood in general is pretty expensive and after tip, the bill was a little above $ 100(also ordered drinks too). They give complimentary sourdough bread with a lovely herb butter as well so don’t hesitate in asking for bread!

Overall, our experiences at Anthony’s have been very positive except for Easter Sunday. The service was exceptional and view terrific, but the food was left wanting. The fruit plate looked as if it had been left out because it was very dry and not pleasant. The coffee cake was excellent. My entrée was so so. The potatoes were very cold. The eggs dish was ok. My wife entrée was ok, but not great. My wife and I will go back again because we know Anthony’s is more than capable of putting out a great meal. If we are disappointed again, we won’t return.

Food is average and overpriced, but desserts are amazing. Beautiful view of the waterfront. Romantic atmosphere. Go there if you want to have the best dessert.

Went here for Valentine’s Day last night and… meh. We were hoping for a romantic night out, but ended up being seated really close to other people. Looking around, though, it probably wouldn’t have mattered where we were seated. The whole restaurant had a cramped feeling, like other people can overhear your conversations. But it’s somewhat annoying when you’re trying to have a nice night out and you turn to see a server’s butt in your face while she’s taking the table next to yours’ order. Food was average. I ordered seared ahi off the special Valentine’s Day menu and the serving was so small that I was hungry an hour later. Also didn’t have much flavor or freshness to it. My husband’s steak Oscar was pretty good though. Maybe go for turf over surf here? Service was good. I was bummed that I couldn’t order wine since I got carded and had left my wallet at home(I’m 31), but servers gotta do that, so that, of all things, could have been overlooked. Still it’s been a loooong time since I’ve been carded. Maybe I should have taken it as a compliment. Otherwise our service was perfectly friendly. I would say this location isn’t worth it. Maybe the one in Seattle is better?

The view is incredible. The service was impeccable. So why the 3 stars? The food was just OK, nothing outstanding and not anything I couldn’t have had at Red Lobster. I had the Roasted Garlic Prawns, which yes, was just OK. My biggest issue with the entrée was that it was literally swimming in butter. Not even Red Lobster drowns it’s seafood in butter. The Crème Brûlée for dessert was plain, which I prefer, but once again, didn’t rock my world. My friends ordered oysters on the shell(eating slimy snot just does not appeal to me!) and they both stated that they were fresh and tasty. They had the panko crusted trout as a main entrée and were served a healthy portion — both said they were surprised by the large serving but the fish was just OK. As we arrived early, we ordered the Sunset Dinner for $ 21.95, which I felt was a good value for the money. I started with the Wild Salmon Croccantini, ordered the Blue Cheese Salad(but received the Caesar Salad), the Roasted Garlic Prawns for my entrée and ended with Burnt Cream(aka Crème Brûlée). What they did well: the wine list offered a good variety in both red and white wines, the macchiato was outstanding, and both the valet and the wait staff were very accommodating to our party which included an elderly individual in a wheelchair. Would I go back… sure. I would bring out-of-town friends to enjoy the relaxing and beautiful view of Lake Washington as the sun sets. But next time I’ll ask more questions to see how the dish is prepared before I order.

OMG. Been going here for happy hour for years. Service has slid and prices gone up starting 2 or 3 years ago They were closed in January for a remodel so we were excited to check it out. Walked in and could hardly tell any difference. Think most of the work was done remodeling the kitchen and supposedly the bar. Pretty crowded on a Monday night. Happy hour menu prices have gone up. once again. $ 8 for everything and menu hasn’t changed. You would think they would refresh the menu along with the physical restaurant? Slow getting drinks. At least drink prices look the same. $ 5 house wine for example. Decent size pours. Food. Blah. Bar burgers are a joke at $ 7 you get what looks like ¼ pound beef in more of a ball than a patty which is eclipsed by the bun that is meant to cover a decent ½ pound Patty. Served Luke warm with a half order of the smallest size fries order you get at McDonald’s. Calamari Caesar salad was Luke warm. Nightiime view is partially obscured by the reflection of the lights on the back walls. They should tweak lighting better to reduce reflection. Service was decent. But overall they lost a long time bar customer tonight. Enough is enough. So sad the remodel wasn’t a True refresh I’m renaming their happy hour sucker’s hour.

Updating my last review. They got 5 stars this time! Excellent service, excellent food, clean, nice ambience. The Seafood Fettuccine is awesome! And when I said I didn’t want dressing on my salad, the host offered to bring me oil, vinegar and some blue cheese in side. I felt very well taken care! I’m definitely coming back again!

Avoid. Ambience: 4 Food: 2 Drinks: 3 Value: 2 Let’s get good out of the way: the view over myriad yachts across Lake Washington is pretty. If not for this one redeeming attribute, it would get a 1. The food is awful; not taste and smallish portions. The ambience is like an old hotel bar, dilapidated carpets and depressing décor. The service, was inexplicably bad, we sat around 10+ minutes trying to wave down our server, on a Wednesday! The value wasn’t even that good… $ 7 for small portions appetizers at happy hour. With so many better choices around(Le Bistro American with the view, Trellis with the food, Bottle and Bull for the drinks), I would avoid this place.

For the prices that Anthony charges, one would expect significantly better food. Most entrees are $ 30+, this usually encompasses a vastly overcooked filet of fish, some flaccid frozen veggies, and tasteless rice pilaf. For this price there are dozens of better options, with significantly better quality. Secondly when I ordered a classic Old Fashion cocktail(bourbon, bitters, sugar and a splash of water), it arrived filled to the brim with club soda. It’s on par with asking for a martini — only to be served with a vodka soda. I put the food quality on par with Sizzler. No joke on this. Anthony’s has become complacent in trying to satisfy their customers. It’s a throw back to 1988 that hasn’t bothered to change in the 20 years plus it’s been around. Vote with your dollars, and reward your tastebuds, try elsewhere.

So we came here for my dad’s bday dinner, it wasn’t my first choice but it wasn’t my birthday. The evening started out smooth! Service was great, we had a reservation so we we’re seated very quickly. Our server was polite, funny and flexible with some of the family members substitutions. She also came back very frequently to check on all of us. The food was tasteful and came out in a timely manner. Obviously the presentation was great! And my halibut didn’t blow me away but it was very good. I know this sounds like at least a 4 star review right? I would think so as well and was planning to do so until I learned that all my family members ended up getting very sick including my dad. I ended up getting only an upset stomach so I guess I got lucky. Apparently this isn’t that uncommon for this location. Not sure if it was undercooked food, spoiled food, cross contamination or something else but I am going to contact management for this establishment and the health department. Please go elsewhere if you value your health. Plenty of options in Kirkland and the greater Seattle area for fresh and local seafood.

Anthony’s was a nice surprise. We really wanted seafood, however we saw this restaurant only had 3.5 Stars, so we were suspect. The experience we had was really very nice. The clam chowder was outstanding. The crab cakes had plenty of delicious crab, with just the right amount of seasoning and breading. The Alaskan halibut was so fresh, light and flaky, I would have to say it was the star of the night. The view topped off the evening and really set the stage for a romantic dinner with my wife. Five Stars all the way around!

I will not be surprised if Anthony’s is not around for much longer. It is clear that things here have really gone down hill but prices have not. We came here for my boyfriend’s mothers birthday. The food was not great. The service was very slow. And at one point, we saw our server sitting outside drinking coffee with other FOH staff(this was on a busy Saturday evening). It took almost 30 minutes to get bread you’re supposed to get right at the beginning. And everything in general was very slow. The food was not good all around. It wasn’t bad, but very salty and honestly made me feel sick later when I got home. The cherry on top of the evening was the fact that they brought out a small dish with about 2 tablespoons of whipped cream for her birthday… we thought it was a joke. Honestly it would’ve been better if they just hadn’t brought out anything. We all concurred we will never be going back.

The food at Anthony’s has always been average. I enjoy their thick, super fatty, but super flavorful«award winning» clam chowder. haha Their location is always by the water, so it sets quite a nice ambiance. Prices quite hefty for their fish, as its nothing too impressive. Make reservations via open table. I wish their service was just a tad bit quicker, but they are super friendly(considering that it should be on the higher-end restaurant). Would come back for HH, or if there are some out of towners who want to visit a restaurant just for ambiance instead of the quality and taste of food.

Let’s just start by saying HH here is amazing! It’s a bit of a drive for me but I met up with my girlfriends here after work. We ordered a lot of food and surprisingly finished it all. Barbecued oysters Oyster shooters Crispy Calamari Northwest Manila clams Traditional mussels and fries Pan fried oysters Baked Dungeness crab, shrimp and artichoke dip A burger split 3 ways And we all ordered two drinks ea. Service was very good. Even though it seem like there was just one attending to our area. He was very quick and super friendly. The whole vibe of Anthony’s was a bit too romantic for us. At one point one of my friend said she would prefer the lights a bit brighter because it was really dim in the restaurant. Overall, really good experience here. Will definitely be back for brunch or something !

Two of us had dinner on the deck at Anthony’s in the they were very busy they graciously accommodated a late arrival for our reservation. As it was a beautiful August day the deck was bustling with activity. We were seated at kind of an odd little table — it was for two and shaped in a triangle so to utilize the limited space on the deck efficiently. The trade-off for sitting at the weird little table is that you are facing Lake Washington unobstructed.(I uploaded a photo). My dinner companion is a vegetarian and was delighted with her fancy beefsteak tomato appetizer and a pasta dish as her entrée. I decided on the Dungeness crab cocktail and the Manila clams from the small plates section of the menu. The crab cocktail comes with a generous helping of my favorite type of crab. For some reason I expected that it would arrive with cocktail sauce, but that’s probably on me because it might technically be a crab Louie. I did not realize that the Louie dressing was at the very bottom actually preferred cocktail sauce. It felt like about 10 or 12 minutes before our waitress was able to circle back and I was able to ask for cocktail sauce which she happily provided. I won’t deduct points based on that; after all she is not a mindreader and I certainly could have communicated better. with my cocktail sauce I was the proverbial happy camper. The Manila clams had a nice taste but seemed a little on the small side to me. Again, I can’t really put that on the restaurant as I do not know the seasonal nuances of the shellfish market. My friend had parked in Anthony’s valet parking(accessible from the south side of the building). After dinner we went to the Wilde Rover to hear Geoffrey Castle(which is a whole another review — the guy is amazing) and by the time we returned the valet had left. Under the windshield there was a note saying that unless we were able to catch somebody in the restaurant we would have to return after 9:30 a.m. the next morning for the car. Fortunately for us a manager who was locking the restaurant’s front door noticed that we were walking down the sidewalk headed towards the parking garage. She brought the keys down to the parking garage! That’s customer service. And so lucky that she brought the keys and I didn’t have to entertain the lithe young beauty overnight.
