They have a great brunch. We found this place by accident and were more than happy. Staff is friendly and food was awesome.

I’m not sure how this place gets 3.5 on Unilocal,or 4.1 on open table. The interior has all the charm of a warehouse. The staff is efficient if somewhat absent. Drinks were fine. We decided to start with Oysters. We were presented with a plate of lukewarm massive oysters of unknown origins. In the center of the plate of ice and sea monsters was a somewhat warmer glop of purportedly cider vinegar mixture, presented in a plastic cup mid plate. That was it for us… We paid and left.

Have had Sunday brunch there numerous times. Food is good as is the service. Fruit table is great but would love to see real lox for the bagels instead of a cream cheese spread. On a different note this sign over what appears to be a door always has me puzzled. In large green letters it says EXIT. Below the sign are the words«this is not an exit». Oh well.

Rather disappointed in the food. I ordered the grilled chicken pesto sandwich and the fries were basically cold. the sandwich was a bit sad at least the flavor was ok. I even ordered coconut prawns and those were very sad. they were barely warm. And so stiff like the bottom of a soft shoe. very very sad lunch. Don’t think I will try this place again…

This restaurant holds a special place in my heart having worked there about 20 years ago in High School. Outside of the name, the place has literally not changed in that time. This restaurant is old school Bellevue. While I haven’t had a meal in the restaurant for years, I do frequent the bar solely for their amazing Cajun Chicken Tenderloins. While there are other nice HH options like the Wagyu Tillamook Burger, Pear Pecan and Blue Cheese Salad or the Fish Tacos, the Cajun chicken tenderloins are my go to every time. These are hands down my favorite chicken strips on the planet and the honey mustard is the best. Plus they have awesome strawberry lemonade with bottomless refills. Not sure what the rest of the menu is like, but the HH offers some great deals, especially for Bellevue. Bar area gets packed with regulars for HH so it’s sometimes hard to find a seat.

What a great menu this restaurant has. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their meal around me. Sadly, I sat for 20 minutes and no one seemed to be assigned to my table. Very disappointing.:(

Saturday date night with hubby and we were so happy we chose BFG! Our server, Angie, was an ultimate hostess — very attentive, funny and friendly. We started with oyster shooters and split a Caesar salad, along with the complimentary bread and whipped butter. Ordered and Angie timed it perfectly so we could finish starters before the entrees arrived. Hubby ordered the ribeye and garlic mashed potatoes. Steak was cooked Chicago-style perfectly and THOSE potatoes… throw your face in them. I ordered the special Dungeness crab and corn bisque which was amazing! HUGE chunks of crab and seasoned just right. My main course was the crabcakes which came with rice pilaf and green beans. I’m only deducting a star because the crabcakes were overly dressed with a too strong red pepper aioli which obliterated the crab. It would be much better with a lighter lemon-based aioli in my opinion. And, the beans were tough and stringy. All-in-all — very, very good and no room for dessert!

The best use of this restaurant is a coffee meeting for friends or business purposes. The bar has super comfy booths and decent service. The food is average to below-average. Some items are a step above, say, Applebees. The salads are decent-ish. But some items are so unacceptable that I’ve sent them back. The crab cakes, for instance. In a place that is named for fish, I’d have sworn I was in Nebraska getting their version of crab flavored bread fritters — barely cooked through — and so salty I couldn’t take more than a bite or two. Their cooks must have adapted to extremely high salt content if they can’t taste test their food and see it’s inedible. Especially for the super-high concentration of senior citizens who frequent this restaurant, I’m sure those folks need to watch their sodium. Have a care, Big Fish!

Stuffed shrimp was small shrimp sitting on top of the stuffing, some shrimp was not cleaned all the way and undercooked. Flavors were good and clam chowder was excellent

Overall 2.5star Not very impressed with their food Service was just average Appetizer– Calamari was okay Entrée– Green bean was too salty Wild salmon was dry and salty Had to sprit few bones from mouth I wasn’t very impressed presentation as well My date ordered prawn for his entrée. He shared me some and those prawns were needed to be devein. Both of our meals looked exactly same. Salmon/Shrimp on rice and green beans on side. We were like meeeeeeh.

Ask for the lobster appetizer… It’s seriously awesome. Mouth watering. Delicious. Me and my hubby licked it completely. It comes with just 2 slices of toast bun slices and its dip kind of dish. They serve bread and butter as you wait for your order. Nice ambience for a dinner date. I had wild salmon– it comes with green beans, red peppers and rice. Salmon was awesome. I loved the veges too. My hubby ordered a fish sandwich– it was a bit sweet.

Have enjoyed the bar happy hour food and beverages many times — great value, quick and convenient. Service in the bar and restaurant have always been good, the portions generous and the food quality very good to excellent. Yes, we can recommend this restaurant.

For the prices they ask I expected much more better experience. All in all it was OK, the food and service was about the average I encountered in the area, but the prices were definitely higher. You can hope to get something special and delicious fish, but I got nothing special.

Big Fish Grill — just off WA-520 in Kirkland is in the same building that once housed Newport Bay. We met friends from the midwest who were staying down the street at La Quinta and decided to give Big Fish a try! It was great. In addition to enjoying a wonderful meal and excellent service, we loved Big Fish Grill’s quiet, understated ambiance once common among fine dining establishments. The large, varied northwest menu included a number of salmon and halibut dishes as well as shrimp, oysters, clams, fish tacos, and cioppino. Starters average around $ 10 – 12. Entrees top out at $ 28, but I had a wonderful $ 16 pan-fried oyster and $ 4 cup of chowder. The wine and beer selections were adequate and by-the-glass wines were competitively priced around $ 7 – 12.

We went for dinner on Thursday evening around 5:45p. Parking was full we were lucky we only had to wait about 5 minutes. Pretty small parking lot for the restaurant. Didn’t have to wait for a table. Big HH crowd We ordered the wild salmon dinner and the Cobb salad. My spouse really enjoyed his seafood Cobb salad, crab meat, scallops and salmon. Said he would definitely order it again. I loved the salmon dinner with rice and broccoli. The salmon was cooked just right. I would definitely order that again, although the seafood Cobb salad looked yummy so I might try that next time Service was very good and attentive. Only complaint was that it got kind of loud in the dinning area Would recommend this restaurant

Our food arrived promptly, blackened halibut tacos and mahi mahi tacos. They were not as hot as they should have been and the accompanying black beans were tepid. Beans at least, should be very hot to avoid food poisoning. Decided to skip eating them just in case. As the restaurant filled up the noise level began to be a bit annoying. The waitress was friendly and the service was fast. Overall a solid three and a half stars.

Ladies and gentlemen, the world’s smallest $ 14 salad. It was delicious, bit I feel so ripped off. I’ve had larger side salads.
