Beware if you think your scheduled for treatment and walk out without any treatment
Billing department charges you as you walk in the door regardless of the lazy doctor not ready to get to work.
They keep your money and will not refund.

Dr. Hoyte was completely not caring and unhelpful.
Appt times for emergencies are not available. Need to have more slots open for emergencies.

Update: I was supposed to have a 4-​month follow-​up but the doctor downtown had to reschedule. When I called back to reschedule, the next available appointment was 2 months later… so I just skipped it. :-(I’m scheduled with another retinal specialist.
My advice: hire more doctors so you can keep up with the patients you have.

Waited an hour after appt. time to be seen. Then another 45 min. To see the doctor., after a tech checked vision. I called after requesting a copy of my Rx for glasses, and the girl on the phone was RUDE!!! I will go elsewhere from now on. This place needs a lesson in people skills., and scheduling appointments.

They do not know how to hold an appointment time. The first time I had an 8am appointment and I had to sit and wait for 20 minutes before my appointment began. They decided to break my appointment up into two separate dates. When I arrived for my follow up appointment, I waited for 10 minutes then my doctor finally came out, thought she was coming to me, then grabbed someone else. I asked reception how much longer and they said at minimum another 10 minutes. They seem to either over book or not run efficient day to day operations.
As a result of the delays I was not impressed with the attitude or knowledge of reception either, they did not seem to take any interest in when my appointment would begin and were very rude when I had to reschedule due to the delays.
I will give 3 stars because I thought Doctor Vo was very nice and did a thorough exam, I would recommend her, just wish I could say the same for the front desk operations.

I have been going to Eye Associates Northwest for over 20 years. I have glaucoma and have had surgery for that, as well as recently having cataracts removed by Dr Pawtampa. He is an EXCELLENT physician, one of the few really caring and extremely talented in this profession. He is never in a rush. I was extremely nearsighted (20 – 800 WITH glasses) due to the cataracts, but I now have 20 – 20 vision without contacts or glasses, the first time in over 50 years (2^nd grade). A couple of years ago before I was ready for cataract surgery, he was the most patient physician I have ever had in determining the prescription for my new glasses. I have lived all over the US, and have seen numerous opthalmologists, and Dr Pawtampa has been the best for getting an accurate prescription. For William, I suggest you go to Dr Pawtampa in Kirkland at their office, he got the very best prescription I have ever had in 50 years, and I am very serious about this.
In addition, the office staff has gotten me in quickly, even when I mistakingly missed an appointment. They do care about you on a personal level, and have you come in frequently if you are having problems with your vision. My glaucoma has been handled wonderfully by Dr Pawtampa, as were my cataracts. I would never switch doctors from Dr Pawtampa, and if anyone has the slightest problem with one of their other fine doctors, just go to him, and he’ll take care of you to your satisfaction.

Worst place to get an appointment. For my first one oh sure they got me in right but I had a problem with my eyes wanted in as soon as I could staff told me it was at the end of the year everyone needed to make an appointment to use thier insurance up so I could get in at two months I mean really. Then tired again just to give them a chance and the staff wasnt helpful again and like the previous time I could get in for two months. These Doctors must have bad time management staff or needs more doctors to fill the need of the patients.

The doctors here are brilliant. Very detailed and knowledgable. but the staff. save me lord. worse customer service ever. For an organization of this caliber. they need better front desk and appointment scheduling staff.

Worst place I have ever been, rude staff. And after 8 expensive visits they weren’t able to solve the problem with my eye… I will never go here again, i feel like i got scammed

After going there for quite some time I think it’s time to look elsewhere. Booked appt and was told to get there 15 min early which I did. Sat in the lobby waiting for 45 min and still nothing before I walked out. Very disappointing service.

Great eye Dr’s with a curtious staff.

For opthamology, I think this is a pretty good operation, top notch equipment (I had a detached retina which needs to be looked at occasionally).
For optometry, I will be going elsewhere, after paying a mint for the exam my prescription is pretty poor, and they seemed to care little about whether the prescription actually worked.

This office is horrible. I went in to get an eye exam to update my contact lens prescription. I sat for 30 minutes, and heard other disgruntled people waiting for up to 45 mins. The second appointment started out in the sad exact same fashion of waiting. Then I went through another bunch of tests… and was told at the end that I would get a phone call to come and pick up my new lenses.
A week later, no phone call, so I called the following Monday. The lady who does all the ordering had lost my order. I remember who she was, because I had waited to talk to her in person to look at new frames… decided to get frames some place else, because she sat in her office for 30 minutes. Can’t believe I wasted my time there.
Another two weeks followed, and still no contacts. Supposedly the manufacturer was waiting to get more orders for my prescription… whatever.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE.

DR. POTAMPA is a wonderful ophthalmologist! We decided to go to him after seeing his name in the SEATTLE BEST DOCTORS 2008 magazine and have been pleased ever since!!! He has won numerous awards and is one of the best in his field (voted on by other doctors). He is one of the nicest, caring, most sincere doctors I’ve ever been to. I had a lot of questions about my eyes and he answered them thoroughly and thoughtfully. (I agree that the optical department is rather unfriendly, but whatever… I go for the knowledge and expertise of the doctor. I can put up with someone else’s bad attitude for the 30 minutes it takes to pick out a pair of glasses)
