Factory Donuts

Great location and delicious donuts, but every time I go there I leave feeling bad. The owner is rude and pushy. My kids play hockey next door so we have been going there almost weekly. I understand up– selling, but the way they do it is rude. I order 3 donuts, 1 for each child, but I am always pressured to order a half dozen, double what I want. I am always asked «what else?» multiple times. When I refuse, she angrily grabs a bag and stuffs them in. There is no thank you given for the business or the money I did spend, you feel like they are holding a grudge for not buying more. It’s disappointing because the donuts really are the best and the location is so convenient for us. Every time I leave I feel like I ‘ve been bullied… not somewhere I want to spend my money.

Great fresh donuts! Worth the adventure for sure. Owner seemed cold at first but warmed up quickly. :)

Great donuts! Have been looking for a good little independent shop with traditional donuts and I finally found it. There are some with more fancy toppings, but they have the traditional favourites in great numbers. We bought a half dozen donuts and the box was adorable. The lady working there was nice when I struck up a conversation.
Will be back!

By far the best donuts I’ve ever had but the customer service is horrible. So for that reason, I’m OUT!

Great prices and tasty doughnuts. The chocolate has a distinct flavor that makes it very tasty. and $ 1.25 for a dozen doughnut holes! only thing that would make it better is staff being more friendly

My children play ice hockey next door do it is natural for them to get super excited when they see a donut shop.
My first view was this asian lady talking down on this boy who was with his father. I didn’t think much of it until it was my turn to get something. Since it was our first time, my son and I were still looking around. Impatient lady had this frown and went to the back to do something quickly. She immediately went back and asked what do we want and not in a nice wat. While getting our orders, these two kids came in and started playing with their money. Impatient lady scolded one of them and said «Money is dirty. Don’t put it in your mouth.»
It really felt like I was in the set watching a chinese movie where the matriarch is just all mean.
The big pro about this place is that the donuts are not bad and you can’t beat the price.
Cons: Obviously the owner. Do not order espresso here as they just have this generic dispenser that makes the brew for you. There’s no barista so you’re better off ordering drip coffee.
One more thing is she asked if I wanted my ham and cheese croissant warm. I didn’t realize that she was going to nuke it in the microwave. You toast a croissant to keep its integrity. So this beautiful flaky layered piece of deliciousness became this floppy bread. Can’t do much about it.

Factory Donuts are THE BEST around … the variety of donuts is always pleasing (even in the afternoon), the deluxe donuts are a bargain, and the fritters are to die for! Don’t believe other negative reviews who prefer stale fried pieces of lard-​dough from their local-​yet-​multinational corporate drip-​coffee vendor. This is a family-​run store, the donuts are made in front of customers starting at 3:30am, and they ALWAYS take special requests, not to mention are courteous every time I’ve stopped by. This is, and always will be, my favorite donut shop!

Awesome donuts, poor service. Always seems like they are unhappy that you came in. But I will still come cause the donuts are tasty.

Worst Experience Ever!!!
This was our first time here, and most likely the LAST. The donuts were tasteless (you can find better at the grocery stores).
Also, the way that we and all the other customers were treated was extremely condescending and disrespectful. One of the ladies behind the counter was even commenting on how messy some of the kids were!
Overall, I think I would’ve had a better experience with Soup Nazi…

STAY AWAY. We paid in coins today, because I work tips and this woman, SLAPPED my mothers hand away as she was counting the change. MULTIPLE TIMES. A pain that we paid in change yeah I get it but NO ONE was there. That is unacceptable on so many levels. She was so disrespectful, and so condescending, she then told us «next time you don’t bring in and count. I will not count for you next time.» WE WILL NOT BE BACK. You do NOT treat people like that, EVER. I have never been so angry with a restaurant ever! I will be warning our family and friends about this place.

Was here this morning for donuts before heading on a vacation .
The donut is alright. I have a Cheese Danish, seriously I fell like the one in Starbucks is way better. My hubby has a chocolate donut and according to him, it’s good but nothing special about that .
The service is again I know I say it a lot in my reviews «typical asian restaurant «. Do not expect that much.

The epitome of everything a donut should be. As American as apple pie. My favorite donuts.

New to the area and was going to try this place but after seeing all the reviews about the rude staff I don’t think that’s how I want to start my day.

Best donuts around! Seriously if you like good authentic donuts this is the place.

Great donuts, surprisingly rude. Even my eight year old commented how rude she was to me and the customer behind me. It’s surprising because I’m pretty sure she’s the owner and you’d think the owner would understand how to treat customers.

Lady at counter very tired sorry but… The donuts look amazing. You can’t go wrong there we will see if a bunch of teens and a band teacher approve.

Simply put… Donuts are my weakness!
I love the variety they have but I guess I’m just old school because my favorites are still the maple bars, the glazed twist, and apple fritters. This place is just a typical looking donut shop with nothing fancy about it but the donuts they pump out are just FANTASTIC! I usually try to eat somewhat healthy throughout the week but when the urge is too strong and I feel like just ruining my body for one day I come here. I recommend getting the mixed dozen so you can have a variety of sugary goodness.

I just moved to the area and I wanted a donut this morning. I followed the Unilocal reviews and I must say, they are spot on. The donuts are okay. Not the best I’ve ever had, actually I would equate them closely to your common run of the mill donut. I had a maple bar and raspberry crème filled. My friend had the crème filled and said it was okay.
Anyway, the reviews on customer service are absolutely correct. When I walked in, the owner was friendly, which I thought, oh, maybe the reviews were wrong… but when I went to pay, that’s when everything went down hill. I paid with my card and as I was signing and hitting submit, I noticed it was approximately $ 13.75 for a $ 7.70 bill! I told her and her first response was to BLAME me for pushing something wrong. I replied no, I just signed and pushed accept. Then she said something about a tip, and I again repeated myself and said no I did not. Well, she looked and noticed that she did make the mistake and rang in 1.99, 2.99 and .99 additional items on my bill. She asked if I wanted credit for more donuts or the cash and I chose the cash.
She held the receipt and then gave me back $ 4.00! Can you believe that? I saw the receipt, it clearly had an error of $ 6.00 and she was trying to say that all she owed me was $ 4.00. So I asked to see the receipt and she showed it to me. I added it for her and she got mad, grabbed a calculator and then decided to give me some change and $ 4.00. When she counted it back to me (cash first), I showed her that she was still short a dollar. By this time she was extremely upset and didn’t believe me, mumbled something under her breath and finally and rudely gave me the $ 6.00 she owed me.
I will not be coming back to this place. I can get better donuts elsewhere, as well as customer service.

I’ve been going to this donut shop for years but after today i will no longer be coming here. The donuts have been delicious, as always, but the owner really does not know how to treat her customers.
I’ve noticed her attitude for some time now and just learned how to deal with it so i could get my hands on some yummy donuts. At times i would think maybe she’s just having a bad day or maybe theres a language barrier or any excuse to justify her rudeness. However, the last time i was in there was a short line with only 2 people behind me and when it was my turn i ordered my donuts and she told me the amount i owed which was $ 2.19. I opened my wallet and placed 2 dollars on the class and as i was searching for 20 cents she repeatedly SLAMMED on the glass and said «common hurry!!» basically the equivalent to snapping at me. i could understand if she was getting impatient if i was taking forever to get my change but i wasn’t. I thought it was really rude for her to snap like that.

I’ve been wanting to try these donuts for a while but never felt as though I had reason to get at least a half dozen until recently. Yes, it sounds ridiculous… why not just get one? Because I wanted opinions from others on what they thought of them too… and the opportunity to have more than one, just in case ;)
Anyhow, finally got some donuts (and a mocha!) and they were GREAT!!! Soft, and sweet but also nicely crunchy around the edges! Yum! My favorite donut is the chocolate-​glazed custard-​filled and I tried it from Factory Donuts and it does not disappoint. It’s so very rich and decadent that I doubt I’d have it at my next visit, only because I assume my next visit will be in a few minutes (or within the next few days) and I want to taste more of their yummy offerings! One amazing treat here is definitely a sweet indulgence… I recommend cutting them in half (or fourths!) and sharing with others so you can taste a bunch of different ones. Seriously good stuff!
Everyone else seemed to thoroughly enjoy their donuts too. The «traditional» ones disappeared from the box almost instantly and then happily enjoyed too! The blueberry scone we had looked amazing, but I think because everyone was thinking «DONUTS» it wasn’t our favorite in the box. The apple fritter, maple bar, even just the glazed were all very well received!
I just realized that I didn’t even take a picture of any of these treats! This is very unlike me and just speaks to the fact that I must have really enjoyed the treats to not stop and photograph them! Ha!
I honestly don’t think I’ve been this pleased with a donut since I had a Krispy Kreme while vacationing in southern California (yes, I know there are some of those up here too, but I just haven’t been!). Highly recommend this place!
