It floors me how rude the employees here are. I know I keep ranting on this… but I wish that someone else would purchase this gas station and bring it back to what it used to be! I do not buy gas here, no reason to with their prices they way they are. But I like to keep my cars clean and they’re the only wash in the Finn Hill area that does a hand prep. Every time I go in, EVERYTIME, EVERYEMPLOYEEISRUDE, DISINTERESTED, ANDCONTEMPTUOUS toward customers. Not one smile, barely a hello, no «thank you». Do they hate their job that much? Or their customers??? I saw a new one being trained a couple months back, and he’s the one at the counter now, I’m pretty sure he was trained on how to be as rude as possible. These guys are foreigners, I’m not sure from where, Iran? India? Can’t tell, and really should not be an issue, but you have to wonder if it’s some sort of cultural thing? If it is, it needs to turn around fast. Once upon a time this Shell had owners/employees that were happy, helpful, laughing, joyful, and seemed to enjoy their job. They’d give my kids free candy when they bought candy, they made great Italian sodas,(it was fun for my kids to walk down there and hang out, eating candy or drinking a latte or soda). They did a great job with the car washes-they took a long time prepping and the cars looked great. Now, my kids get the creeps walking in there, the car washes went up in price and the hand prep is low effort. PLEASE, CANANAMERICANPURCHASETHISSTATIONANDMAKEIT A GREATPLACEAGAIN? THISCOULDBETHEFLAMINGOCARWASHOFFINNHILL! And I really don’t care if I’ve offended someone by saying this.

This used to be my go-to gas station when I lived on Finn Hill. Better«quality» gas(according to my car) and car washes were reliable. They changed owners a couple years back and quality of this place went downhill. Tried to get a car wash this week after filling up, only to see that the car wash was closed — even though it was a Friday in the middle of a bright sunny day. So I came back the following day, and the guy operating the car wash was on his phone the entire time, which means he barely said a word to me, and despite my «premium» wash, didn’t get all that I paid for. Won’t be coming back.

I used to be a regular for a few years at this station. I’d fill my two cars up and get my free car wash. The staff was great and the place was well maintained. Now however I drive the opposite direction, or pass that station just to avoid it. I’m guessing the place was sold to a new owner. I started noticing pumps out of service frequently, those dumb TVs were constantly broken and the overall upkeep went down. Although those are small issues, I had enough when I walked in and I asked for my free car wash. The guy said«no brother… we dont do free car washes anymore». I was paying a higher rate because it was a convenient location and they did a free car wash… decent trade off. I asked the guy for a refund and will never return.

This neighborhood business has the usual array of handy features… gas for the jalopy, a carwash and convenience store… along with this they feature an inhouse pizza biz that does a pretty brisk business. Overall, the place is run by a friendly staff and is a better choice IMHO than the 76 across the way. That said — and the one issue that prevents me from giving a much higher rating — is the blaring LCD screens above every pump. WAYYYY too Orwelian for me.
