Came in a couple days ago, thinking I would give this place a chance considering all the good things I’ve heard about it. It was in the morning and they were quite busy but thankfully the line moved very quickly. I ordered my sandwich(#16) and it tasted good for a fast food place. However, after sitting there I was horrified by what I heard from the kitchen area. The manager, it seemed like was yelling at employees and speaking in rude, elevated tones. I let it go the first time, I figured things happen sometimes and they’re probably just doing their job. Then it happened again. And again. Although the food was good and the store was clean, I cannot support a place that endorses owners and managers who think it’s appropriate to constantly yell and cuss at their employees, many of whom looked like school age children. Regardless of what happened, that is unacceptable business behavior and not a way to discipline an employee. It’s one thing to talk to them in the back but yelling openly in front of customers is not something that I can condone. What a disappointment.

I would give this location negative stars if I could. I ordered a #11 club on white sub bread with lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, mayo, oregano and red cherry peppers. I took 2 bites of the sandwich and it just didn’t taste right. I opened it up to look at the ingredients and the red cherry peppers were dark brown/black and there was a mystery piece of something that may have been a cherry pepper at one time, but it’s hard to tell. Obviously, with the sandwich not tasting right, I stopped eating it and threw away. A waste of $ 11 + tip. About 4 hours later, and not eating anything else, I developed chills, abdominal pain and nausea. By 5 hours later I was experiencing intractable vomiting and diarrhea, that could not be controlled. I went to the Urgent Care seeking nausea medication. They ran some tests and determined there was no infection and the most likely cause was food poisoning. Thank you Jimmy Johns for a waste of my day, a $ 50UC co-pay and feeling absolutely horrendous. I called to notify the location and was hung up on. I have also contacted the health department.

This is the second time in a row that my order has been screwed up! How hard is it to make a sandwich correctly? I even called and talked to a person! This isn’t my favorite sandwich place but it is pretty quick when your hungry. But don’t hold your breath that you’ll get the sandwich you ordered!

This review is for the delivery part of Jimmy John’s since I’ve never actually been there. The deliveries are always fast and they never mess up on my order. I’m about 1.5 miles away and they usually deliver in less than 10 minutes. Their sandwiches are always fresh– I’ve had the turkey tom, pepe and veggie sandwiches. They also have their own jalapeño chips which are really really good.

Not such freaky fast delivery! I live within a couple miles of this location and every time I order delivery from them it takes at least 40 min. I’m not one to complain, but after my last order I had to do something about it. I ordered 2 Vito’s with extra sauce and they were completely dry. I’m extremely disappointed next time I’ll just drive down there.

Welcome to the first JJs that does NOT greet their customers immediately, and when they do it sure isn’t friendly. Wow. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t need you to do cartwheels or anything, just a simple«Hello» to acknowledge a customer would be great. Lots of teens behind the counter that day… perhaps that’s why??? The young, snobby girl who took our order(and said hi after I greeted her first — what the deuce?!?), didn’t bother giving us our drink cup either. Thanks. Luckily, their abilities to produce super quick Gluten Free(Unwich Wraps) sandwiches bumped this rating up to an A-OK.

We moved to Kirkland about 4 years ago and we have been ordering Jimmy John’s since we found out they were just down the hill from our house. I wouldn’t say we are super frequent diners, but on average we order delivery from them probably once a month(give or take). We had never, until today, experienced anything but great food and service. Our orders were always correct, they are inexpensive, and they delivered quickly every time, as promised. I’m not sure what has happened but today I was sorely disappointed when I called to order a sandwich for lunch. When I told the employee our address he said he had to look it up and double check that we were in their delivery zone. After a moment he informed me that we were outside of their boundaries by ONEBLOCK. I pointed out that we had ordered from them several times before, the last time being two weeks earlier, and had never been told we were«outside of the delivery zone». He told me that because we were so close they had probably just done it without mentioning it before, but they were now expected to strictly follow the delivery guidelines. He then suggested that he could try to have a delivery driver meet me at the edge of the boundary a block away if I wanted to walk up there(seriously?!) or he could have a sandwich waiting for pick up at the store. I asked him if the Totem Lake location delivers to this area and he said they did not, and that we live in a «no delivery zone». He apologized profusely for the fact that this information hadn’t been relayed to us before. I get that the employees have rules that management expects them to enforce but it must be pretty embarrassing for them to turn away people who have been long time customers. Seeing as there are other restaurants in the area who are willing to deliver to the«no delivery zone» we will be taking our business elsewhere. Sorry Jimmy John’s.

I used to order from them all the time, then all the sudden a rude manager said I was two blocks from their delivery some and that they wouldn’t deliver anymore to my house. What idiots would pass on a previously loyal customer because of two blocks down a road that’s a straight shot from them?

Ughhhhhh, I hate when I have bad experiences. I had ordered from the redmond location before. My boyfriend too. And it was alright… I’d say a 3.5, 4 for quick food. Today was different. I freaked — and NOT because it was fast. Not only did it take 30 minutes to get our sandwich… the order was completely wrong. So I called, and after 5 minutes of explaining that the order was wrong, they sent another sandwich…(took forever) It took another 40 minutes to get the replacement sandwich… and they took the old one. HERE is where I made the mistake. I should have checked the NEW sandwich to make sure it was right… but I thought«How could they possibly mess it up again, it’s such a simple request.» WRONG. I ended up on the phone with them again, and they gave me to the manager who basically told me to deconstruct my sandwich, I did so, verbally with him and swore there were 3 missing toppings. He said I had to dig through it with my fingers, and when I told him I STILL didn’t see Onions or bright red cherry peppers, he basically insinuated that I was lying. I told him I was floored(I freaked) and said forget it. He didn’t even offer a free sandwich or anything with my next order. Having worked in food service I was appalled with the customer service and the ability to make a simple turkey sandwich with the regular topping plus 3 added extras. Bleh. /rant

Dangerous delivery drivers. At waterfront with my toddler when a driver speeding through almost hit me and my little girl as I went to put her in my car. I should have called the police. I instead called the manager who was young and very rude to me asking me what I want when he finally got on the line. I will never order from this store. I have been a loyal Jimmy customer since 1999 when I worked at one in St. George UT.

I order sandwich delivery at least once a week for lunch when I’m working at home. I live in DT Kirkland and sometimes it can take a half hour depending on weather. When it is really sunny out or there is snow, it tends to be a bit longer because everyone is ordering, but nothing someone shouldn’t be able to handle for a full fulfilling sandwich/meal. Today I ordered at 11:50am and the sandwich was hear here before noon! Talk about freaky fast. I have read reviews about issues with calling, I personally have never called into this JJ’s. I ALWAYS use and have never had an issue. Seems to make sense to me that this is easier on the employees as they do not have to sit and wait while you go «uuhhhhh and I want this, wait don’t add this, but add extra this…» and there is more of a chance for your order to be exactly how you ordered it as they print out your order and put it on the bag. I sometimes order a large beverage and they do an awesome job of no ripping you off and the fullness of the beverage as they put a piece of tape over where the straw goes in to prevent spilling during delivery. I personally find the sandwiches really good, but there really is no difference between this Jimmy John’s and any others, so if you don’t like the sandwich, then you don’t like JJ’s. Today I also had my first Unwich and it was pretty amazing. I always order the Country Club because I like the Turkey and I let my cats eat the Ham. It was a little more difficult to get the meats out of the lettuce wrap as they do a awesome job wrapping them, but if you don’t have cats who bother you for half your sandwich, you will not experience this.

My husband and I tried ordering from this location twice in the past couple of days with no luck. The first time, we were put on hold for so long we hung up. Tonight, we tried to order again and we were told we weren’t in their delivery area! Our house is literally 2 blocks north of this location, how big is their delivery area for goodness sake!!! Not to mention, we ordered delivery from them 2 weeks ago with no issues. How are we all of a sudden outside of the delivery area? That’s it, we’ll never give Jimmy John’s our business again.

Just your normal Jimmy John’s. Sandwiches are standard and yummy and you know what to expect. Parking can be tough in this area. I got the Vito with hot peppers. 50 cent surcharge for hot peppers. $ 6.60 with tax. I like dependable, good, and affordable and Jimmy John’s fits the bill.

So fast, you’ll freak… as long as it isn’t delivery! We were definitely disappointed in the time it took for delivery to go pretty much 2 blocks or less when we were introducing these sandwiches to friends. It took probably 45 minutes to have 3 sandwiches delivered a very short distance — we even called after waiting about half an hour and nothing had arrived yet. Other than the odd amount of time for delivery, same Jimmy John’s quality from other locations we’ve been to… we definitely would make the trek to this location instead of delivery though in the future. It’s not worth a delivery fee to wait around for what seemed like too long.

Hooray for Delivery! I’ve now had Jimmy John’s 3 times, once from 3 different locations so I’m only going to review my experience at this location: YUM! I ordered a custom Lulu, and had it delivered to my hair salon since I was stopping by and they are in this location’s delivery area! So happy about this since there isn’t a Jimmy John’s near my house. Delivery came 10 minutes earlier than the window they specified but that was a good thing, I like promptness! I also loved the ease of paying online and the full customization I could make. They did a perfect job! I was just going to drive to their location and pick up my sandwich but they appear to have parking issues(street only at a busy hour is a nightmare for me). So delivery will be my choice for this location!

I have to give them a three. I’m disappointed that they will not deliver to me. I have a Kirkland address. There food is great but… I can’t enjoy them as much as I’d like. Those tasty little bean sprouts are calling to me but I have to ignore them(The number for sandwich).

My new favorite sub sandwich joint. Actually it’s been my favorite since I visited the Redmond location about a year ago. I’ve only had the #10, called the Big John, with salt & vinegar chips and a drink. I didn’t need to try anything else, I was hooked. I do suggest trying other sandwiches if you don’t like the #10 I’m sure they’re just as good. My wife loves the vegetarian sandwich. They’re fast too. Like their slogan says; «So fast you’ll freak!» I want one now…

New Jimmy John’s. Right next to Sur La Table. Was there on Friday, April 9th. Love their JJ Gargantuan, loaded with all their meat and provolone and extra large roll. It’s sure to please even the biggest appetite. Watch out Subway and Quizno’s you’re about to lose all your customers!
