Kiddie Academy of Kirkland

Can’t recommend highly enough — Friendly, caring teachers and Staff! Works with us on helping ease the child into the center and on day to day matters. Our experience is with infant room, and besides keeping the baby with parents/​grandparents or in-​home nanny this is the next best option around the area — bar none.

I love that we found this gem. The staff is incredible. Their teachers take time to talk to me everyday: to let me know how the day went. They send a full daily report with photos. I can watch my girls on cameras all day. Bella and Scarlett adore and love Miss Rose, Miss Bre and Miss Lo Lo. They serve health meals. Everyone cleans everything so well each day… down to the art markers. That is huge because it keep us all health and able to work, to pay for this treasure of a school. My kids get 110% daily. I am beyond thankful to all of the staff for going above our expectations. They work their butts off and it shows. Huge props to Miss Debbie and Miss Olive for running such an amazing school. This is the place to send your children to have them ready for school. My two and a half year old counts in Spanish while lying in bed. My girls have grown so much, in a short time. Thank you, Kiddie Academy for being stellar. Thank you for caring for my children with love.

We moved to Washington a year ago and picked Kiddie Academy out of a long list of potential locations to send our two children.
I can’t believe how lucky we got with finding this place. It is always such a worry to find a great school for your kids, especially with so many mixed reviews — this place is outstanding though.
Couple of points:
— the owners are always readily available to talk with and have an open door policy — super friendly and genuinely care for the well being and education of the kids
— the principle, Miss Debbie, what an amazing lady she is. Bags of experience, a wonderful tone, she is the lady that makes this place tick. She offers a wealth of experience, genuinely cares about the children, always talks with the parents and does an extremely great job there.
— the teachers are amazing. We have interacted with most of them and they are great.
— MOST importantly, the development and happiness of our kids… they love it and they have blossomed into amazing kids at Kiddie Academy. They are somewhat unrecognizable after a year there
When our time is up and both kids leave (one already has, growing up too fast), it will be a sad day.

Our two kids had been going to kiddie academy for the past 2,5 years and they really liked it. I also would rate it as one of the best places around!!! We moved so we had to take them out otherwise we would have stayed.

my three year old son has been attending this educational daycare for 3 months. we absolutely love Kiddie Academy at Kirkland. the teachers are very caring, knowledgeable, and helpful. our son comes home after his day excited and happy and tells us about his activities. although this is an educational daycare there is still a good amount of unstructured play with non-​electronic toys and a really nice outdoor playground. we are amazed at how much he has learned in this short amount of time. the best part is the watch me grow monitor; you can download an app onto your phone or computer/​ipad and check in to watch your child when they are there. this is by far a good match for us.

My son has attended Kiddie Academy at Kirkland for the past 6 months. We moved him here from a different daycare where we were really unhappy, and the difference has been night and day.
The teachers here are all warm and loving. The school has cameras where you can watch what your kids are doing (which can be addicting!). I’ve never seen a teacher having a bad moment, but lots of opportunities to see them being very kind to the children. A few days ago, my son had awoken from his nap early and looked to be upset. I saw the teacher come over and she sat with him and rocked him for 10 minutes. I find the willingness to give that level of care very reassuring.
At times my son is acting out, the teachers let us know what’s going on, how they are dealing with it, and how we can help support them when he’s home. It definitely feels like they are invested.
They are still growing, as they just opened in Aug 2012, so there are still a number of changes, classrooms opening, etc. This also makes it difficult to judge in terms of staff longevity. However, the office staff do seem supportive of teachers taking sick time if they need it, as well as encouraging educational development.
My son seems very happy there. He really seems to like all the staff, and they seem to like him. There is a lot of hugging.
I do subtract one star because it is not inexpensive (it’s more expensive than Kindercare and less expensive than Bright Horizons), but thesome cool add-​ons that occur (Dizzy’s tumblebus comes once a week; an art teacher comes on a different day), are added to the cost. For the tuition price, it would be nice if one or more activities was included.

As a teacher and involved parent I can’t praise this school enough!
The owners genuinely care about every detail, and chose their staff well. After having been through some daycare nightmares in another school in this neighborhood, I am constantly amazed at how wonderful, caring, consistent, and welcoming everyone at KAK is!
My daughter has been there since the day they opened. She is a very spirited child, so I adore the fact that her teachers are not only a patient and know how to help her deal with her emotions, but truly love my daughter for who she is, and make her feel welcome and appreciated every day. She loves being there, and I drop her off feeling confident that she is in good hands.
When you visit at any time of day, you won’t ever hear a teacher raising their voice or being impatient. Instead teachers are constantly on the floor or on the move with the kids, focused on the kids, smiling, loving what they do, and teaching kids new skills and concepts. The staff is amazing, highly educated, love their job, and love working in this school.
Kiddie Academy of Kirkland definitely is your best choice for excellent childcare.
