Kirkland City Municipal Court

I had to go here to try to get out of a ticket that I didn’t I deserve (mainly because I was driving three miles over on a street marked 25 and the cop argued it was school zone even though it wasn’t marked and gave me for eight over. I digress).
There really isn’t much to do here except try to talk your way out of a speeding ticket. (Lucky for me the judge agreed and deferred my ticket. He, however, was not very interested in sitting through the 26 page presentation I made – replete with nice photos and examples of why this was entrapment. The least he could have done was shown some courtesy and let me get though my presentation for him.) The seating here is pretty uncomfortable and the employees seem to relish the control they yield over their subjects.
I can’t recommend this place unless you really either:
a) have an affinity for traffic cops; or
b) have toshow up because you got a ticket you need to try to get out of.
Walk-​in appointments are not accepted. Reservations are required.
