On Saturday, Jan/​30 my wife and I went to take a look in a car. Richard Werner greeted us an was super nice. He learned why we were there and took the time to show us the car.
We also had the chance to interact with many others from the staff and every single person was great.
Richard us a test drive, which we accepted. Because we were not feeling ready to buy the car at the time, they offered to hold it for 3 hours. We went for a lunch and came back for the car.
Richard called us a couple of days later to know how we were doing and how we like the car. He also offered his help, once again, to show the features the car has. That’s great!
My wife and I are very impressed with the entire team, specially Richard.
We will do business again for sure!

You will leave knowing without a doubt you got the right car at a fair price and you will be taken care of if you ever need anything with your car in the future. I met A LOT of salespeople in my search for a new car this past month. Michael’s style was honest, upfront, and I felt comfortable from the moment we met discussing all of my questions, and concerns and he supported me through each step of my long decision making journey. He always made me feel he wanted me to find the right car for me regardless of whether it was him that I bought it from or not. A far cry from the other people I dealt with throughout this arduous process. Johnny in finance at Lee Johnson was excellent as well.

I don’t normally write reviews but I felt compelled to write about the extraordinary service from Lee Johnson Mazda Service. I’ve purchased two Mazdas from them and have taken both cars for all services and repairs at this dealership. Yesterday I got a nail in my tire and rather than go to a tire repair shop– I went to Lee Johnson quicklube. 30 minutes and zero dollars later– I was on my way with a repaired tire. Grabbed an espresso at their on site coffee stand during the short wait.

Been here twice for warranty service and and free oil change on my new Trax now. I haven’t noticed any problems, but the attitude here is awful.
We’ll start with the first problem: their website is awful. Cluttered and dysfunctional. I made an appt. with their system, got here, then was told they were booked almost a month out for service but they would squeeze me in. «Our online system shouldn’t have let you do that.» Really? So fix it. Or take it offline! It doesn’t take too many brain cells to figure that out and put the customer first.
I should have taken the above as a red flag but I thought it was only me. Lady came in after my appointment today and had a similar problem. She was turned away because the tech «had emailed her earlier that her appointment wasn’t valid and the system was broken.» To be fair, emailing is a fine action to take when the person doesn’t provide a phone. That’s fine. Having your service appointment mislead and disrupt people’s lives for a month without taking action? Not fine. That’s awful customer service.
Now let’s talk about the service attitude. Constantly putting down customers while you can hear everything in the service waiting room. Putting down other dealers while claiming you’re more «legit.» Being mouthy and rude over radio communications. It’s ridiculous that these service personnel have no manners, treat each other like dirt, and trash talk other dealers (Robinson!) that clearly have much higher customer satisfaction.
I haven’t spent a dollar here and I don’t plan to.
Might come back for warranty service — if I do I will update the review. It’s always so cringe worthy to sit in this waiting room listening to all the rudeness though.

I took my 2001 Miata in for service today. Scott was very professional and practical. They fixed the car and saved me the cost of a new battery by detailed recommendations.

Definitely do NOT use them for emission testing!
They charge twice more than government emission station and you need to make an appointment (the appointment lasts about 30 minutes, that’s what I was told on the phone).
And they are booked 5 days out! For a test that literally takes 5 minutes, that is too much inconvenience.
Also, the service representative was not very polite on the phone and actually hung up on me while I was still talking.
With this attitude, I do not really want to use them for any service in the future.

Walked into Lee Johnson not to look at cars, but because my truck stalled at the freeway off-​ramp right by their dealership. The sales person who came out to greet me had learned what happened and went to look for a truck to help pull mine into their service department. In the mean time, I spoke with service and they said their tow truck was just a few minutes away so he came and got my dead truck. The sales guy also produced a truck that could pull mine in. I was impressed with their effort already.
This happened just before them closing, BTW, so they could not look at my truck until the next day. I live well over an hour away, my husband was out of town and I needed to get home as soon as possible without spending an arm and a leg on a taxi. One of their service advisors said he was getting off in 10 minutes and would give me a ride home (he lived in that general area but not exactly near us). He gave me a ride home and refused to take any gas money despite having gone out of his way to drop me off.
I got a call the next morning saying that my truck is done. I had thought my engine was having a problem; turned out it was a faulty fuel gauge (I had just bought the truck and was unfamiliar with its quirks at the time) and my truck had simply ran out of fuel. It was an old Diesel Ford and had to be primed in order to restart. I was amazed that they had a mechanic on staff that not only bothered doing the job, but did it well and quickly. They only charged me for minimum shop time even though they could have taken advantage of me like some other shops do.
The service was exceptional all around; not once did I get pressured to buy anything or get anything done that I didn’t want to get done. They did mention that a belt tensioner was seized but since I had just purchased the truck elsewhere, I said I would take it there hoping that place will fix it for free. They had no problem with that and did not try to talk me into doing the repair at Lee Johnson.
A while later, the same truck had sat during a week long cold spell and did not want to restart. We had AAA tow it straight to Lee Johnson, much to a service advisor’s surprise. We told him that we wanted Howard to look at it, and he understood. Howard not only got it running, but gave us tips on how to get it running if this happened again. And this time also they charged us a minimum labor fee with no pressure to get anything else done.
I stopped by Lee Johnson at some point later to look at a very nice, way-​over-​my-​budget car. The sales person showed me the car, treated me with patience and respect despite the fact that I could not and would not buy it at the time.
Needless to say, if I am ever in the market for a Chevrolet, Mazda or anything else LJ carries, that will be the first (and probably the only) place I will go to buy it.

My husband and I always got great service at Lee Johnson. When I needed to sell a car, they offered me a fair price, but said they would Fedex the check the following Monday. (It was Thursday). I expected to see the check Tuesday — turns out they sent it Fedex Ground. When I called to see where it was, I was told to call back if I didn’t have it by the end of the week. Not sure why it takes THEM a week to get me my check — if I was the buyer, I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t happen that way. Major customer service FAIL.

Used to go to another spot to regularly service my Mazda until it needed a special repair that only the dealership has the equipment for. I saw that Lee Johnson’s prices for common services were displayed with comparisons to other popular local shops; I thought that was a pretty honest move and started coming here instead. For a while I was pretty satisfied.
The first red flag came up last year when I came in for regular service, and one of my headlights was out. I thought it was a simple enough repair and asked if they can take care of it for me while doing the other stuff, and they happily obliged. When they gave me the invoice, I realized they charged almost $ 1000 for the headlight. I asked about it and they said they actually needed to replace the entire headlight housing. Ok, wasn’t happy about it, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt.
Earlier this year when I was in for service, they told me there was a problem related to the differential for the AWD drivetrain. I’m no mechanic, but I understand car parts enough to know what they were talking about. I thought to myself the mentioned problem will probably cost about $ 600 to fix, but they quoted me $ 1700. It sounded very fishy to me, so I didn’t schedule a time for it but instead took my car to Kirkland Transmission to ask them to take a look. Kirkland Transmission said there were 0 problems with the part mentioned on Lee Johnson’s diagnose other than a small leak on a different part that was next to it.
Obviously for my next service, I took my car back to the old spot and mentioned the incident. They took a look just to double check even though they don’t do that sort of service, but they agreed there did not seem to be any problems. But they did say that the rear breaks, which were replaced earlier at Lee Johnson, were installed poorly and were completely warped in a way they have never seen before and needed to be replaced again.
Bottom line, the Mazda service department here only knows how to perform services taught in the introductory course of tech school but will try to gouge you for all you’re worth.

I went in to have my emissions checked. Their internet went down and I had to come back the next day. My plans changed so I showed up two hours early and they were able to take me and get it done in no time. Great place to go for great service.

The Husband and I researched online in the area for a used SUV. Lee Johnson had a couple listed online we were keen on so went in to check it out. We were immediately greeted by Jeremy Hayes, and he helped us look at the vehicles we saw online. He spent a long time showing us the ones we were curious about and honestly shared his opinion on the two we narrowed down. We weren’t sure we were going make a purchase that day but Jeremy was so gracious and really such a pleasure to work with that we bought one. Our 12 month old was with us and he went out of his way to make sure she had toys and was entertained (we were there about 5 hours!). We must have been taking up too much of his time though because the sales manager interrupted and hijacked our meeting. None the less, the finance department was great and everyone for the most part was fantastic. We went back and forth a few times on the details but left very happy. We’re especially stoked on the free car washes (in case the rain doesn’t take care of it), but I was pretty bummed we drove the car off the lot with less than ¼ tank of gas. Seriously. But very thankful for Jeremy! And we got a new-​to-​us car!

We went to this dealership to look at a Tahoe that we saw online. After talking to one of the salespeople and being told the car was perfect, loaded and immaculate, we decided to make the drive from Portland to take a look. We got there and there were scratches so deep in the paint that there was no way they were coming out, even with a good detail. The car was not loaded either– it was a base model with a sunroof. We were beyond disappointed. This is not the way to do business. Please have your salespeople be honest with customers– especially when they are driving 3 hours to look at a car!!!

I took in my 2011 HHR for a variety of complaints. The service representative was respectful, listened well, and very nice. He explained all of the things that were resolved completely and in language I readily understood. First of 3 Chevy dealers I have been to for service since moving to Seattle that have listened to me and treated me as if I had intelligence.

Salesperson, Angelo, was thorough and worked hard to get me what I wanted and needed.

Mazda service charges $ 89.99 for a full synthetic oil change, you can go to Renton Mazda and get it done for $ 59.99. They were unable to explain what makes there oil change worth 34% more.
Next time just heading to Renton.

Went to see you a used car. Liked it. They wouldn’t move on the price. No problem, we left. Next day get an email on how much we are willing to pay. After spending the entire morning going back and forth with a seemingly genuine salesman (if that really exists) we agreed on a price. Get ready to go pick up the car and get a phone call that oh sorry it’s been sold. Hmmmmm…

I recieved an email regarding my ’07 Chevy Cobalt, apparently it is in high demand (despite having 100,000 miles on it) this coming season after taxes are filed for people seeking used-​cars. They invited me in to look at some trade-​in deals.
So I replied to the email and within an hour Robbie called me and invited me to the dealership that same day. I have always had great service from the guys and never felt pressured to buy more than I intended.
He showed me some cars that I wouldn’t have to put a down payment on; within the budget that was pre-​calculated earlier as a result of the inspection of my cobalt. Robbie was incredibly easy to talk to and answered every question I had in a simple manner, easy for me to understand.
I settled on a ’13 Kia Optima after looking at some hatchbacks, a Chevy Cruz and a mustang. I completely fell in love with how it handled and knew that u would be taking it off the lot that day. I never felt pressured in the least, he let me take my time and was entirely honest with me regarding the financing process.
They did everything they could to lower the monthly payment. And I mean EVERYTHING… cutting fees, re-​calling other dealerships to sell my cobalt for more, calling the bank and getting my interest rate VERY low… everything. We settled at a payment that I was happy with which included a 10-​yr power train warranty.
Not to mention how much funny Jack was; the finance guru that I finished my appointment with. All of those forms to sign have a way of dampering the excitement of a new car, but he made it fun and made sure to fully explain every little detail.
I will continue to come here for all my Car needs. They make everything easy to understand and really embody what a family-​oriented dealership is all about. I have never recieved the kindness and respect anywhere else like I do here.

Called for a price match on a car, but they did not have it in stock. I needed it that day too.
However the Salseman told me that the competitors price was very good and I should buy it. He even followed up to see if I bought it. Sure he was hoping I did not and would come in but he was nice and wished me well.
It seems that the sales people, or this one has good character.

OK I must say that once given a chance Lee Johnson stepped up to help me get past one of the worst strings of bad luck I have ever had.
Wow …it was nice to see that someone cares.
I bought a car from Lee Johnson. They had me over a barrel, because my car was dead and I wanted to take my sons on vacation. On driving out of the store I got a screw in the sidewall and the tire is toast with almost no miles and I have no new car.
Great weekend. Did I mention it’s my birthday? (Party horn)
The dealership couldn’t order the tire or rather they did but it didn’t turn up by Friday so I am thinking «Joy!» But the dealership (service manager specifically) made sure to get me a loaner for the weekend. Next they tried to get the tire Monday but it turns out that the tire is back ordered (I guess it is a special extra cool new tire size for extra Zoom Zoom) and so now instead of throwing their hands up they are walking their lot to get me a tire and back into my new Mazda 3 (I love it!) and on my way.
I even got a call from one of the «Johnson’s» not Lee … I think he has passed but they really take their name and dealership reputation seriously and I really appreciate the whole teams’ follow up.

Went in to have engine oil changed, and the tires rotated. Drive-​up service (no appointment) and even though they were busy the entire process took just 45 minutes, including waiting in the queue.
Both the oil and tires came to a total of $ 48, which is less than a quick-​change joint. I use synthetic oil, or it would have been $ 36 total — including rotation of the tires.
