The food looked terrible before I even took my first bite. I was so hungry so I ate a quarter of it before I threw it away. 6 hours later, I’m sick to my stomach and I’m pretty sure my evening isn’t going to go very well. Please don’t waste your money on this garbage they want to call food.

This place is by far the worst teriyaki place I have ever eaten at. This was my first time at this place and it will be last. I hardly write reviews and I wish that I would have read the others before eating here. I ordered chicken Katsu and the chicken and prawn. I asked for sodas as well with the order. It was WAY over priced. I got my soda and sat down and the woman behind the counter was staring at me. My boyfriend went to get his and she yelled at him! She said the soda was an EXTRA $ 2.50 per cup! I figured because of the high price it was already on the order! I had to pay an extra $ 5 for the two. I thought okay, well hopefully the food is good. Might be worth it. As soon as she yelled at my boyfriend she went into the back and started yelling in another language at the cooks. I’m assuming about the fact that she just treated us like we were stealing. She brought the food out and it was horrific. The chicken was dry and the prawns were so burned they were hard as rocks. The only good thing was the rice and reading the other reviews I’m sure I just licked that woman’s fingers. Great. She continues to play some loud soap opera that’s hidden behind the soda machine and would turn it off when a customer would come in but turn it back on as soon as they walked away. The place is not clean. The tables were sticky and my shoes stuck to the floors. I cannot believe that this place is even in service still. Absolutely disgusting. Save your money and go somewhere else.

I’ve had the salmon teriyaki from here several times and it never disappoints– fairly priced and delicious!

Worst teriyaki ever… Over priced. Way over cooked. Dry with no flavor, just a ton of grease. Oh and the owner talked on the phone the entire time I was there. My first bad review ever. Meh. Disappointed.

Extra 2.99 for brown rice with my teriyaki? Wow i am blown away! What about the already existing cost for the jasmine rice it was supposed to come with? That and the brown rice was very soft almost no texture at all which ultimately means old rice. The lady at the front must have been hungry because I could see In between the curtain when I was waiting for my food and she kept putting her hand in the rice pot and coming back out chewing a full mouth of rice! Wth?

I joined a friend at Manna for lunch and I can say that I will NEVER be back. First, I try to be fairly health conscious and order brown rice whenever I can to cut back on carbs. When I asked to substitute brown rice for the white I was told it was an EXTRA $ 3.00! Are you kidding me? I can understand .50 or even a buck but $ 3.00? Give me a break. When I asked why it was so much money the woman just kept smiling at me and not answering. Needless to say, I ordered white rice. The décor in the restaurant is old and outdated. They desperately need to redecorate and apply a fresh coat of paint. Portion sizes of the food are average and the chicken was decent. The one thing that got me was that while I was waiting for my order, I could see the woman preparing the food eating rice with her BAREHANDS out of rice cooker and eating chicken directly off the grill. Take about nasty. I will not be going back to Manna’s anytime soon. This place is a disaster.

I love Manna Teriyaki! I always order from this place when I have company over, everyone raves about how good the food is and they always get my order right. The gyoza is beyond belief delicious and their plain old chicken teriyaki IS something to write home about! The pricing is super realistic and the staff is very friendly. I can’t think of anything that I would change about this place. Thanks so much Manna for providing delicious food at reasonable prices!

I’ve been picking up food from here for almost 2 years now. My favorite is spicy chicken yaki udon(without cabbage). The portion sizes are favorable and you always know what you’re gonna get. It’s definitely a must try if you’re in the Kingsgate area. They do need to finish their website or at least just put their full menu up there in PDF.

This place has decent tasting food. It is not the best teriyaki out there but if you’re in the neighborhood try them out. Prices are cheap and the food is tasty.

Out shopping again and needed food. I went to Pizza Bank hoping that they had slices, but they don’t and they were busy. This was my second choice for a quick lunch. I had the Chicken Teriyaki and goyza lunch plate with brown rice. I liked that they had brown rice available as an option. This was pretty average food, nothing to go out of your way for, but nothing ti shy away from if you are in the neighborhood and want teriyaki.

ate 2 meals here in 2 days, spicy chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu. they were both good, generous portions and both $ 8 so they were good deals. I’m dull to taste but they taste pretty standard to the others I’ve had. if I had to rate, chicken teriyaki is bit better than average, and chicken katsu a bit below.

I was so seriously expecting a religious experience with a name like Manna Teriyaki. I had chicken teriyaki here tonight for the first time. I normally order spicy chicken teriyaki at a new restaurant but saw they had Sriracha on all the tables so just went ahead and saved 26 cents. The fact it’s only 26 cents higher is pretty cool as most places charge $ 1.00 more to make it spicy. Go figure. The walls in this place are Husky colors: purple and gold. They have photos on the walls of bright flowers. They have white icicle Christmas lights, which give the place a festive look. I feel like I was transported to the International District in entering this teriyaki joint. There was some kind of foreign film or soap opera playing in the background. The woman would turn it off when another customer would come in the door, then when they’d leave she would turn it back on. It was loud. And annoying. In most teriyaki joints there’s a sound system with radio on but here I couldn’t tell where the sound was coming from: was it TV or was it radio? What language is it? Then she would go back behind the curtain and speak in a foreign language? Again, I’m trying to figure out what she’s speaking, what’s she yelling about? The other thing that was disturbing about this restaurant was the walkway to the restroom, which by the way is for customers only, according to the sign on the door. My comment about the sign is assuming that the customer is able-bodied because there’s NOWAY that hallway to the restroom is ADA accessible. I was thinking to myself, ‘there’s no way a wheelchair could get through here.’ It was lined with things that should be in a storage room. Once I got to the restroom it was filthy… I don’t know if that was mold on the walls, around the toilet, and what’s up with the hole in the wall to the right of the sink/mirror? It was just gross! This was no manna from heaven experience. I’m glad I tried it but probably wouldn’t be back again unless I was seriously desperate for teriyaki… which does happen!

I’m incredibly torn on this location of Manna. On the one hand, they have the best teriyaki sauce I’ve ever had. The problem is that they pair it with some of the lowest quality chicken around. I realize they have an upgrade to breast meat, but there’s no excuse for using such low quality chicken in the base dish. The yakisoba isn’t the worst I’ve ever had, but suffers as well from the low quality chicken. Be very wary of chicken dishes here unless you get the upgrade.

I hate this place! The bathroom needs to be inspected by the board of Health! Seriously, it looked like it had NEVERBEENCLEANED with grime everywhere including light switch. Ick!!! The food is mediocre at best. The woman who is always at counter watches Asian Soap Operas at full volume while customers are there. The water tastes like its been Chlorinated! The tea tastes like Chlorine Tea! OMG this place is F’ed. And the first time there, I used a paper cup for water(stack of cups right on the counter) and the woman stormed over a few minutes later when she noticed and demanded $ 0.50 cents for the cup! WTF? Don’t go to this place. Put them out of business until they clean up thier act!

Wow. Got served food that had clearly been sitting there a while. Really really disappointing. It’s obvious that the owners have stopped trying, and I won’t ever be back to this place. Shame.

This place is pretty good. I ordered the chicken breast teriyaki. I’m sure it was better than the regular(dark meat) chicken teriyaki they offer. The chicken wasn’t too dry and the rice was good. It also came with a side salad that was served with dressing on the side. Yay! I hate when restaurants drench your salad with dressing. The restaurant décor is pretty lame and outdated. It had that 80’s mint green look. Not a deal breaker for me, just hard on the eyes. I would come back if I’m in the neighborhood.

This is the joint where I always go for take out to take home. It’s conveniently on the way home from work and their«Spicy Chicken with Mushroom» is my favorite and just spicy enough and there’s always left overs. Mom likes the chicken teriayki: it comes with a fresh, crisp salad with that sweet dressing that you always get in teriyaki joints.(Is it some kind of covenant they sign or something?) This place isn’t going to get rave reviews for cleanliness or ambiance. The gray plastic straws and lids holder hasn’t been washed since George Bush left office and the dining room has barely anything I’d call«décor», but the food is good and there’s lots of it. The wife takes your order and the husband does the cooking and they both seem to appreciate your patronage. What more do you want from a neighborhood teriyaki joint?

Wonderful little Teriyaki joint, fresh and not greasy at all. Excellent price point for their huge servings, you will easily get two to three meals out of one to-go box. It’s some of the best Teriyaki I’ve found on the entire Eastside.
