Finally reached a point in my life where I was ready to purchase my first home with my wife. I do lot’s of research and interview many people as I regard this as a crucial financial decision. Mike met with us on a Sunday morning at Panera bread somewhat last minute on my part. I had so many questions on the mortgage process and seriously Mike could and should be a college professor on this field. I had so many pages of notes and all questions were answered and then som. I believe our initial meeting was close to 3 hours that morning. Mike thanked me for allowing him to explain everything as he really does enjoy helping people and explaining the rather complex process. We went with Mike on our first home loan, went smooth and easier then I had anticipated. We got a great rate, closed on time and just now unpacked our last box. His communication is top notch, takes time to meet you in person if needed even during the process. I have recommended Mike to friends and coworkers and look forward to using him again… Thank you Mike!

We had been considering going with a different lender, but when we compared the lender we had normally used to the rates Mike got for us, he saved us a significant amount of money. Mike was recommended to us by my husband’s co-​worker to contact for our Refi. We were told he was thorough, took the time to meet and discuss all questions and scenarios…“a real numbers guy.”
All of that is true. We were also in the middle of a downstairs renovation during the process AND a few hiccups like the IRS not releasing tax returns lately because of fraud (had to go down to Seattle office). Through it all he remained steady and on task. Reminding us to get him certain information, following up to see where we were at, explaining the steps, etc. There wasn’t an email, phone call or text that he didn’t respond to immediately or within the hour.
On a personal note: Yes he’s a «numbers guy», but he has a rather hilarious dry sense of humor that we appreciated during the process.:-)

I was working with my bank and feeling fairly disgruntled with the rates they were offering. I got out my google-​fu and bam, found Mike. He IS as good as his reviews state. I called, he came to my house, we did the paper work and about 45 days later my re-​fi was in the can with a far better rate than I thought possible. Wowhoo is right! Friendly, thoughtful, knows the process extremely well, so if ever a question comes up, he has an answer. I would recommend him again in a heart beat.

My fiancé and I were tired of paying the high rent in the Seattle area and thought we should see if we could even get pre-​approved for a loan. I did some Unilocal searching and came across Mike’s information and thought I’d give him a call based on all the good reviews. With my credit situation I knew it would be tricky to get a loan but Mike was great and very informative on getting us all the information we needed. He even met us on a weekend for the first visit because of our late night work hours on the weekdays. After talking through the process with him we decided to go ahead and get pre-​approved and he was able to get it done very quickly and with a great interest rate. When it came time to make offers on houses, he was quick to provide the approval letter to go along with our offer, again working late nights and on weekends to help us. We are closing on our house this week, and he has been a wealth of information and a ton of help on getting all the documents in on time and answering all questions we have. He even helped us work through the kinks we were having with our Realtor, which trust me, was not easy at all!

Mike was very patient and professional in helping us find the right home loan that fit our financial preferences. He was always on time for meetings about our loan process and paperwork, and was really flexible around our busy schedule. He is very knowledgeable and we loved how he laid out different loan options for us to choose from, especially when we came in knowing barely anything about where to start in the home buying process.

Usually, people leave reviews for either horrible services they received, or an amazing, outstanding service that went above and beyond. No one would spend time to say that the service was just ok.
In the case of Mike and this review, Mike’s service was beyond outstanding. Mike is one of the best mortgage brokers I have met, if not the best. His knowledge about home loans is unparalleled. He spent over 5 hours providing me with 1:1 guidance and recommendation, explaining everything in a way that anybody can understand. That really helped me a lot to make the right decision for my home loan. And, to top this, he also beat all other bank offers I received.
But getting education about loans, and getting a great deal was not the only thing he excelled in. Closing went way smoother than I anticipated, and he made sure that everything worked the way I wanted it.

He did send my case to a coworker of his so he didn’t work on mine. And there were some miscommunications. But both his coworker and Mike himself have been professional and courteous handling the situation.

I am not saying it couldn’t be better. For one, the closing date could not have been delayed a few times. I have bought many houses (I’m a investor) so I am not stressed out with those dates much. I imagine a inexperienced first time buyer however would.
