These guys are so awesome!
I did my PADI open water certification through them a few weeks ago, prior to a trip to Mexico.
They offer a streamlined open water certification, in which you do the book work at home, spend 1 evening at a pool doing the confined dives, and then do all 4 open water dives over the course of a weekend. This system was very efficient, and I did not feel like I missed out on anything. It was also very reasonably priced.
The kicker is that they have this huge converted school bus, which you get to hang out on between open water dives. They crank up the heat on the bus, which makes a huge difference when you’re trying to get out of a wet wetsuit, and they provide snacks too.
I went on some additional dives with them last weekend at Alki and had a great time. Very reasonable prices for gear rental.

Just finished my open water certification with Seattle School of Diving. Nick and Jim were great to learn with and now I’m ready for my trip to Maui! I would highly recommend getting certified with these very knowledgable and fun instructors.

I have no dive experience and wanted to get certified for a tropical vacation. Nick Dave and Jim did a great job getting me comfortable with the concepts, equipment and in the pool before hitting the open water. The open water dives were off Alki and based from a big bus converted to an excellent scuba hang out (i.e., it has plenty of room, a heater, stove, and bathroom). It was a lot of fun to prepare for dives with hot coffee right off the stove, shelter, and stories from the instructors and other students. On the open dives, we went over the technical aspects and still had time to see a bunch of cool wildlife. Overall great experience and would highly recommend a friend.

I got certified with Nick and his team last month before a trip Kauai. I was blown away by the level of personal care and preparation they took in getting me ready for my vacation. Being a small business owner myself, I am critically aware of the smallest details in running a service business, and taking care of the client, they went beyond my expectations… these guys are the best… I loved the scuba bus, thanks for turning me onto a whole new world!!!
