Sound Life Chiropractic

After 2 appointments, I am seeing a significant improvement in my neck and shoulder area, as well as considerably less pain.
I fell about 6 weeks ago and broke my nose after which I was suffering from neck pain and stiffness. Although the pain gradually receded, the stiffness did not go away completely, and last week I felt a couple little pops in my neck and immediate pain. I am super stubborn and didn’t feel it necessary to see anyone for it, hoping a wait it out approach would suffice, but my husband insisted I call Dr. Josh, and I am so glad I did.

Josh has been my chiropractor for 10 years.
I have a very physical job and very physical hobbies. If my body isn’t working I am not a very happy man. My family depends on me to be mobile, I’m self employed.
I don’t see Josh on regular planned schedule but when I need him most he’s there. We’ve been working together long enough that when I come in its like a pit stop. Other times it takes multiple scheduled sessions to repair the damage I have done. I am so grateful to have found Sound life Chiropractic.

I am so grateful a friend recommended I go here when I threw out my back for the first time, about 6mo ago. I could barely walk when I arrived to the office, stuck at an angle, and all this, a week before my companies launch!
Dr. Josh is a skilled professional, gentle and very effective. After the first visit I was walking much straighter, a couple more visits that week and wow. I was ready and able for our amazing launch!

Dr Josh is a great Chiro, knows the spine by feel & instantly improves my weaknesses. Not only is he good conversation, he takes the time to listen to your aches & pains complaints. He addresses both the long term issues in progression as well as your current issues at hand.
Scheduling is pretty flexible, not too hard to get a time around your desired appointment times. Customer service is on par.
He also has a spine massage/​stretch roller machine & a massage chair to chill in afterward to soften those back muscles right up. Chiropractic care is extremely important for everyone’s quality of life longevity, especially people (nurses) like myself.

When my back was a mess about a year ago, I found Dr. Josh while I was at a fair.
He was able to accommodate to my immediate schedule on the very next day (Saturday). My back was saved! Have been going ever since then. The best thing about Dr. Josh is that he explains how everything works and what to expect so you know how the treatment works. The monthly adjustments are very affordable and keep me at my best! I highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their quality of life!

I came to see Dr. Josh due to an injury. The first visit (first impression) was about an hour. Although there were no adjustments, he was exceptionally thorough in his explanations and ushered understanding on the my behalf.
Never have I been to a much more friendlier, patient-​paced, inviting, and easy going Chiropractic office than Sound Life Chiropractic. It will be a year coming up, and my recovery is steady. Dr. Josh will continue to be my go-​to in maintaining a good life.

I threw my back out and couldn’t even stand up straighta nd driving was painful. Dr. Josh met me in his office right away and was very thourough in his questions, evaluation and exam. He did a great job explaining what he was doing and why through each step. He took the time to learn about my body and what was happening to it and with it before he adjusted me. After he worked on me, I was able to stand up and drive home. The next day, I was moving around so much better. I trust Dr. Josh’s experience and knowledge and appreciate his professionalism and «bedside manner». Thank you!

I had been experiencing extreme discomfort in my lower back for quite a long time but, being stubborn like I am, never sought out treatment. Eventually it got to the point that it was interfering with my work and was unpleasant to sit at my desk or even drive to work. I stopped in and Dr. Josh ended up giving me a complete examination. He found the problem right away and was able to begin treatment immediately. Within a handful of visits the discomfort began to subside and I could feel a real difference in my day to day pain level. Within a couple of months the pain and discomfort was gone. I continue to stop in every month or so for «maintenance» and to prevent future problems. So far it’s been very effective.
Beyond simply being an effective physician, Dr. Josh is extremely personable and an all around nice guy. He’s easy to talk to and makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door. In addition, I’ve never been left waiting or twiddling my thumbs. I don’t recall a time when he has been overbooked or has left me sitting in the waiting room for 20 minutes. I wish I could say the same about other doctors.

I have a long history with Dr. Josh. I went in a couple years back with just a ton of low back pain. He did a full on workup with me including xrays and later, a consultation that lasted over an hour. The consultation laid out what he’d like to do and it required a commitment that I wasn’t ready to make, financially and time-​wise. I let him know that and he was completely understanding and told me to come back when I was ready. So I left and sat in pain for another year!
It came to pass that I needed to do something, so I came back to Dr. Josh to get started. He still had my file, still remembered me, and remembered the issues I was having. That’s impressive!
So my course of therapy required a time commitment of a few months and a monetary commitment of a nice chunk of change, but it’s been worth it. He was able to work with me on the prices and gave me an affordable package that I gladly pay. In his own words” I’m willing to work with you on payment, but not on the program”. The meaning was that he cares more about you than he does about making money… the money is nice, however, and you do still have to pay him! :)
So to summarize, I came in with pain 100% of the time, pain in my shoulders, pain in my low back, instability in my upper back, unable to bend over without sharp pain, and an inability to stand for more than a few minutes without having to sit down. I was a mess. I had previously gone to see Dr.‘s and physical therapists that were unable to solve my issues. I tried traditional methods and they didn’t work. Chiropractic works for me and I have made a commitment to do the maintenance that my body requires. I haven’t gotten to the maintenance stage of my program yet, but whether I have to come once a month or 4 times a month, I’ll do it to stay pain free.
My progress has been steady and it’s taken time, but I’m pain free for the first time in years. My flexibility, mobility, and injuries are 100% better than they were 5 months ago, when I started. Dr. Josh is awesome, and I can’t recommend him high enough.

Dr. Josh Winslow of Sound Life Chiropractic is one of the most caring doc’s I’ve ever met. He’s very intuitive when doing adjustments, so between the intuitiveness and actual medical knowledge, he’s a wonder. If he took my kind of insurance I’d be in there weekly, believe me. Thumbs WAY up to Dr. Josh! Oh, and his receptionist is SUCH a sweet lady. I’m sure everyone loves her too, as I do.

I’ve had lower back pain and headaches on and off for the past 4 years. I started seeing Dr. Josh about 8 months ago and he’s been all the difference in making my pain go away. I play a lot of golf and run, which I think were the causes. I’m now more flexible than I can remember and feel great. Golf performance has improved, and most importantly I’m sleeping much better.
He’s a great chiropractor and I’ would definitely recommend him to my friends and colleagues.

Dr. Josh is a great chiropractor. I had a bad, painful, lower back and went to see Dr. Josh. He has really helped me, and I would recommend him to anyone. Not only is Dr. Josh a wonderful chiropractor, but he is a very caring person who will work with you until you feel your best!

Because of an old back injury, I’ve been unable to exercise for at least a year and a half because of excruciating pain. After the first month of seeing Dr. Winslow, I’m now able to start exercising (e.g., martial arts) again. My back definitely feels better than it has in quite a long time.

I been going to Sound Life for a few years. I was having headaches and back pain and after the adjustments the pain goes away. I just stop by now when I need to to get a quick fix for any new pains.
