The Quality Triangle states that one can receive Great, Fast and Cheap but only two. Unfortunately, they’ve got Cheap and Fast down but the food is terrible. Rice was bland as could be and everything suffered from being overcooked in chaffing dishes. This is about as far away from authentic Mexican or Baja cuisine as one could get. I’ve had better enchilada sauce at Taco Bell. None of us finished (or even came close to) out meals. Friendly staff. Steer clear.

We purposely will drive to Kirkland to get out fix on! We lost two locations in Redmond but are thankful this one is left!
Great quality of food, quick service and everything always tastes awesome! We live the cheap burrito and will always make the trip here. The staff is friendly and kind and quick. All things are make this a five star review.

They don’t serve you fair portions. I got a mondo burrito one time… It was so small and looked nothing like the mondo burrito on the board or the commercial or other mond burritos ive gotten at other locations. I even nicknamed it the Skinny Burrito cause it was as skinny as a churro. So, if you want delicious Mexican food but with unfair portions, this is the Taco Del Mar to go to! I haven’t been back sense and don’t ever plan on it.

A decent consideration for quick, no fuss and below $ 10 lunch. Fish tacos served are measly, but I always exercise the option of getting fish over red meat. Places like Ooba Tooba in Redmond put Taco Del Mar to shame. Notches better than Mi Mexico and several notches under Cactus– you still get what you pay for.

Simply the best, fresh, quality Ingredients! Love the super soft tortillas wrapped perfectly around meats and ingredients you choose. The super meat nachos — delicious and we’re wondering why the chips didn’t go soft and soggy. Hm, maybe it’s because we ate it too fast.

Great option if you want cheap, fast Mexican in downtown Kirkland (although nothing compared to a Taco Truck) of course. Go on Tuesdays for the Taco Tuesday deal. Compared to other fast food places, other than say Chipoltle, this is a great choice.

Located in Downtown Kirkland by the Marina, this location does not skimp on your toppings. After a horrible experience at the Bellevue Square location, it has been years since my last Taco Del Mar adventure. A great deal on Pirq (mobile app) lead me to return and it was not a bad move! The food was fresh, the service was friendly and the location is great. Parking is available on surrounding streets; however, depending on the time of day and community events could be a problem. Went there this morning around 11am ordered 2 tacos beef. They put about ½ tablespoon of beef in each taco and then stuffed it with lettuce. I asked her if she could maybe perhaps put some more meat in them and said it already had enough meat. I will never go to a place that skimps me like this again.

The best fast-​food burrito you’re likely to find around here. I love the steamed tortillas — no dry, powdery old tortillas here. Plus, the «mondito» burrito is a great portion size for those who are watching their calories or just don’t want a huge meal — roughly half the size of one of their regular burritos.

Not sure why I haven’t been here before. I live close by. I keep meaning to go to Bubble Me too; Chinese takeout and crepes together intrigue me. Not necessarily in a good way, not a bad way either. I digress.
Service was good and fast and I like that they have a punch card. Love the spinach torillas. Next time I will ask for extra sour cream.
Basic food done fast. Nothing wrong with that. I will be back.

Are you in need of a quick, healthy lunch? This is the place to go! They have a lot to choose from and they will modify your meal according to your diet plan. I enjoy the pork quesadilla and chicken mondito. Sometimes I will add a small chocolate brownie for dessert.

Pretty standard chain mexi. You get your choice of tortilla, wheat/​spinach/​tomato/​flour for burritos. Rice isn’t great. Black, pinto, or refried beans. Three levels of heat sauce, pico, cheese. They offer tacos and a few misc others like shrimp tostadas. Fish is supposed to be their specialty, but its just a couple of sad pieces of breaded pre-​fried fish. It’s cheap though, and double stamp Mondays. It’s a passable lunch near Bubble Me so that’s why I go. I would recommend the carnitas for meat options. The employees are all very friendly and do a good job assembling your food.

There hasn’t been a time when they used anything stale — it has all been fresh, hot, and made the way you want it made. You just ask for how you like it — a little bit of this, a little of that, lots of your hottest salsa — and they make it for you just like you want it.

And wow! They keep this place clean! I’ve never seen a single person just standing around. When things get slow, they keep busy. I don’t usually tip fast food places (including SB), but I do here. Show some love.

This is by far the best TDM I have been to, and I will still make the drive even though I moved out of Kirkland.
You can establish the quality of the restaurant by seeing the owner interact with his employees, and they really do a great job with the speed and quality of their preparations.

*Sigh* I love taco del mar.
In particular, I love the dt Kirkland TDM. Buddy and I come here about once a week and (embarrassingly) order the same thing each time. I think the staff is on to us…
They’re always friendly and give us good, quick service. They’re troopers to work so hard when it’s sweltering in the summer! The food here is always fresh and high quality. Nothing but accolades. The friendly owner is usually around during the day, too.
And hey, they have beer now! :D

While it’s «just a Taco del Mar,» I really like the owner. He seems to work well with his staff and they seem to show well because of it.
My favorite is a Mondito burrito, light rice, black beans, chicken, pico de gallo, cabbage, light jalapenos, hot sauce, cilantro and onions.

This location in the heart of downtown Kirkland is definitely one of the best Taco Del Mar’s that I have been to. In addition to being within walking distance from the waterfront, local bars, market, library, etc., this location actually has a back entrance which is nice when you’re strolling around downtown.
EXCELLENT customer service and a very friendly staff. My favorite to order at TDM are of course the fish tacos — always able to get extra hot sauce to go with that delicious white sauce. Better fish tacos than what I’ve had at «nice» restaurants downtown — still searching for fish tacos that I like better than TDM’s. Sometimes I’ll add rice and beans as a side and the staff always lets me add a scoop of hot sauce, which is nice.
